  • Tribalism in its raw form played out at Moi University on Tuesday when Uasin Gishu governor, Jackson Mandago, and his Elgeyo Marakwet counterpart Alex Tolgos, stormed the university to eject the vice chancellor appointed on Monday on grounds that he is not from their community.
    The appointment of Professor Laban Ayiro, a luhya, as the Acting Vice Chancellor of the University has angered the leaders who argue that Kalenjins are being denied the right to head the institution despite one of them topping during interviews for the position. Daniel Mule Reports
