Quakers In Australia: Beliefs

Quakers have never had a creed that sets out what to believe. We are each different, our different life experiences and spiritual experiences mean that belief (our understanding of how the world works) is different and needs to evolve with us.
Quakers talk about what we each believe but not with a drive to bring each other into alignment. We accept the diversity that necessarily results amongst us. Discussion brings new questions, new ideas, new understandings. Quaker belief is more a set of questions and challenges, than a set of well-formulated answers. The answers are individual, as are the questions. We seek in company with each other, and recognise the importance of doing life's journey in community with each other. Quakers tend to get on with what they see needing to be done towards making the world a better place, even if they have not worked out the theory.

Thank you for your wonderful attempt at explaining Quakerism, but there is more, and it is probably the love and sheer contentment that comes with it. I have just turned 73 and have been Quaker all of my wonderful life, and I recommend that all people give Quakerism a second and third look, trust me please it will be well worth it.

I just found out of Quakers i can relate to there belives....it is most striking to who i am as a person .be moral ,learn truths be knowledgeable dont fill you cant grow good is everywhere.

I think i found a new being....
I have catholic bake ground but i dont follow there teachings...they seem to make you fill unworthy if you ask questions and that makes you a sinner ,you dont go to church so your not as close to god ..its not a nice religious experience at school . If your like me as a child teen im a questioning and i wanting to know my purpose ,boys where more favoured in the cruch 5han any girl ..i felt a disconnect to catholic teaching and its schooling ..i was a good student i did all my subjects but religion in yr 10 ...
Teacher said why didnt i do my religion assignments on time .i told her i didnt think it was as important as my history, geography, science, art.englush and math.
I got detenchion
She said it should of came before anything else i handed in .where i thought i do what i need to pass for my certificate..
That day i felt she did care about females having knowledge

I feel sorry for those that believe in Quakerism as they do not believe in Jesus's Christ
