@@norami1405 I think they changed it in world (or gen at the earliest), before that you still had to press for every carve. Same with any gathering spots that takes multiple gathers like mining nodes.

@@cruzerion There's also the continuous carve animation which wasn't included in I think third gen below.
That's why when I carve, even in world, I still crouch down out of habit because it was faster to carve crouching down back then xD

Damn, I guess you really have to use a foresight slash evade into a spirit roundslash to build your gauge on a fight where you have no opportunity to do a full spirit blade combo. There is just not enough time to build your gauge otherwise. It seems like your strategy largely consists of waiting for the opportunity to foresight slash evade or use a sheath attack counter.

Wait quick sheathe exists in world or is i a mod ? And if it does exist does it work for Iai sheathe ?

Quick sheath does exist in world and it does count for special sheath, but it makes almost no difference unlike in rise

Yeah I just recently started playing Monster Hunter World and Quick Sheath Level 3 in World makes barely any difference at all. It's likes 5 frames faster with Quick Sheath Level 3, which is not worth the investment. You're much better off investing in offensive skills like Agitator or defensive skills like Health Boost or Stun Resistance.

@@Nineball757 I want to disagree with this. I've been testing out quick sheath in MHW and even though the change is somewhat small, its actually a huge boost given the circumstances. So there are tons of high level monsters that chain 2 attacks or 3 when attacking. If you notice in the video he foresight slashes into special sheath into iai spirit slash. In some of these attacks, if he was just a hair slower he would have gotten hit. Perfect example is when he pulled off a ISS at 1:50. If he was just a frame slower he would have gotten hit. There are attacks that monsters do if you land your foresight slash, you know the second attack is coming but you have to dodge out of the way because nothing you can do. In a lot of those chains you can sheath into ISS if you have quick sheath 3.
I've been messing around with it and I can attest that it does help. Now would it help everyone? Probably not. If you aren't using ISS as part of your meta then its a waste to get quick sheath. But I would suggest anyone who is still playing LS to really test out quick sheath 3 and see how much it really helps when monsters have chain attacks and you just always felt if you just a hair faster you could pull off ISS.

I only started playing MHW about a month or so ago and lots of videos I have seen have people saying that quick sheath in MHW isn't worth it. I want to disagree with this comment. There have been tons of times against monsters where I have used foresight slash going into special sheath and being just a hair too slow to pull off the ISS. Using quick sheath 3 has allowed me a lot of the times to hit those ISS I always seemed to be just a hair too slow for and if you look at the combo mechanics of most monsters a lot of combo attacks that monsters do you can go from Foresight slash to sheath into ISS if you just slightly faster.
I really dislike that video that says quick sheath is just NOT worth it. I think its one of those situations where the community ran the numbers and based on that alone they decided its not worth it. There have been times in the past where the community ran the numbers for something in a game and decided its not worth using or doing only to find out that its a crazy good item or ability if used right in the right situations.
Everyone keeps comparing Quick sheath to rise when rise is honestly easy mode compared to world. I'd say test out quick sheath in world and go by that, not the numbers.
