The "wood chipper" is a milling machine, which rips up asphalt on the roads, and the conveyor belt loads what it pulls up into dump trucks. I used to see them a lot on I-4 construction.
Thank you for the update on Church Street Station!!! I spent many wild nights there, including one in the early 80’s when a tornado touched down in the area briefly. I have never seen such a downpour. One of the wild nights included meeting the Rosie O’Grady’s Uncle Sam (the one on stilts) in the parking lot, and having him join us in our van for a “smoke” break between his sets. Very memorable.
Wow,.the woodwork quality and detail in just a simple old Amtrak station just blows away the anything they would make today for the same purpose. Can you imagine anyone doing something like that now?
That actually is used to pulverize asphalt. It's an asphalt mill machine. It loads the asphalt right into the truck as it goes along, milling the asphalt into chips.
When I was 5 yrs old until I was 13 I lived in Orlando theses buildings look famaliar I remember going to Lake Eola ,the cherry plaza hotel where a lot of the stars stayed you are bringing childhood memories back. Cheri TN
Hi Adam, the white machine is a road surface removing machine, a big plane / shaver for the road. Sure you can use it to cut down trees, but it’s better on the road, as you will need to flip it upside down for yard work!
Ah, another visit down memory lane! My family and I had many enjoyable visits to Church Street Station in the 1990's. The last time I was there was around 1998 when I attended an Air Force Association Banquet in a building that was close to the entrance by I-4. That night Huey Lewis and the News were performing on the street and we could hear them loud and clear. So sad that area is pretty much abandoned now. I remember in 1991 waiting to see the City Hall implosion on TV. It took forever for them to get it done. I finally gave up and went to bed but my son stayed up to watch it even though it was a school night. Hard to believe it has been over 30 years ago! Thanks again for stirring my memories!
Um, that (19:12) isn't Chief Wood'nhead from Creepshow 2. It was actually an original sculpture (rather than a cigar store statue) by Mike Trcic who was lead sculptor on the T- Rex in Jurassic Park among many other credits. After molding, casts were made for a latex/foam statue with animatronic head and a body suit for the actor. Unfortunately, Mr. Trcic passed away two weeks ago. Phenomenal sculptor.
I loved the ernest movies didn't realize one was filmed in orland ,when i kept waiting for another ernest movie until i found out he died .was a sad day. I think the 80s were so iconic even though i was a teenager
This video was awesome. That church st area was like a dream. I love places preserved like that. Seeing different areas of Florida was refreshing. More of this please :)
Adam, the door that you are referring to, that was Jani's Sunset Strip, is correct. When you walk through those doors, about ten feet past, are two flights of stairs, that led up to the open entrance, of the club. I partied their a couple of times. Was a great place. R.I.P. Jani
Good morning Adam today video looks interesting film location and going to church street station. I see that your cousin was on video yesterday and today. Thanks for sharing this. You two have fun.😎📸👍
This brought back memories for my parents... they went on many dates at Church Street Station, they saw the city hall implosion live on TV, and my mom had her high school graduation at the old Orlando Arena.
That machine with the conveyor is an asphalt grinder. I didn’t know that until I read about 15 comments all explaining that, and I wanted to join the club. This is the first vlog of yours that I’ve seen where you didn’t proclaim that the vlog is over. I rewound a bit just to make sure I didn’t somehow skip over it. Thanks for all you do
You actually ARE going to chip up a road! That's what we do these days. That machine grinds the road and throws it into trucks that haul it away to be made into base rock, along with concrete demolition. That's a full-on asphalt grinder, not a tree shredder. The name "Roadtech" may have been a clue. The little Cat skid-steer has a broom attachment on it for sweeping the remnants up after grinding is done. I'm surprised you didn't mention her flipping off the helicopter taking off when you got that shot. If I'm not mistaken, her door opened the other way, didn't it? So 323 may not be the actual room... can't remember, just watched it but it has been a couple weeks.
Cheyenne Saloon was always in that location. Great country western dance hall. Been there a lot and tons of fun. Rosie O'Grady's Good Time Emporium was across the street. That was also a fun place. It was like the Golden Horseshoe Review at Disney with can can girls dancing and singing on the bar, etc. It was such a long time ago it's easy to mix up the locations.
Amazing how time doesn’t matter for the memories of those films made there! Driving around here in Orange County in California; we look for places you’ve been and did a vlog about! Your vlogs about different places really is an interesting experience for us! Thanks for going out and meeting up with different vloggers to bring the story to life for us! Have a wonderful week Adam. We totally enjoyed watching! ❤📽️🎥📹❤
We moved to Orlando in 1989 Church Street Station was the place to go. Orlando City Hall Implosion, 1:24 am, October 25, 1991 I was there all I can say is "WOW". Thanks again for a great video and for taking us along with you.
Too bad you never went inside, the Cheyenne Saloon was something else!!!🖤What you saw through the window was just a taste! It was 3 stories in side looking down on a HUGE Center bar o the first floor! All Wood engraved! Carved wood tables, chairs, barstools... Beautiful, One of a kind! Was a sight to see!
I’ve watched Ernest Saves Christmas in the past year more than any other movie. It’s on Disney Plus and is my go to nighttime going to bed movie. Haha. Love it so much! “You want one for ya boy?”
I remember how long it took for them to shoot that scene. Church street was so much fun back then with the restaurants and third floor arcade. And the Beacham theater around the corner. And GG was a friend of a friend who drove him to his first "poo concert" at a VFW hall near Peoria Il. back in the 80's. He had planned it out and ate a bunch of chocolate ex-lax beforehand.
I remember downtown from the early nineties. It was a fun place to hang out back then. Church Street was hopping. Terror On Church Street was always crowded. Went to Sunset Strip a few times. Scruffy Murphy’s was a great downtown bar. Not to mention The Edge (which you featured last week). Lots going on back then.
I love your RUclips channel I think you have one of the best on RUclips everything you do is very professional I wish you were going to keep doing it forever but I know I’ll get things must come to an end good luck🌴🌴
Church Street Station was my spot in the late 70's early 80's awesome. Sadly the best places are not understood and now city is trying to put an awful project there!!
The magic castle lost its magic ! Man I’m glad the hotel at least acknowledge the film. I met you at megacon , completely forgot to show you the pics I took when it was still purple !
Hey Adam, I've commented many times before. I work in the film industry and my wife worked on Ernest Saves Christmas and I have a colleague that worked on Shakma, both shot in Orlando. My wife has a lot wild stories about working on that show (show is a generic term we use for work, regardless if it's a feature or TV), due union issues they put the crew (or at least the teamsters) up in the Contemporary. Can you imagine basically living in the Contemporary??? One story involved a teamster hot wiring a parking lot tram. Working in the film industry used to be wild, out of control, and fun though the work was brutal. Since streaming with companies like Netflix, Apple, and such, there is a more corporate feel, in some ways that's good BUT it just isn't fun anymore; perhaps that's my age speaking. Shoot, I can't tell you the last show where there was a wrap party that I worked on... We're The Millers or Tammy.
Adam I am sorry you never was inside of the Cheyenne Saloon, it was so beautiful it really was like going back in time. We used to take the kids there in the daytime and we would go there in the evenings. So so many memories and got to see a lot of musicians preform there.
Love seeing the Orlando station, My husband and I would get a sleeper from NY to Orlando every year and Mears car would pick us up at the station to head to The Boardwalk,,,,,,,,,,Vendor outside sold best hot dogs……Last 7 years we drive with my daughter and family and we stay over nite in Va, and then Kiera Island ,,,,,,Great trip…..I never was on plane, and never would, bad dream once, Excuse the rambling! Thanks for giving me back some fun memories of Orlando train station…..🙏🏽❤️🌴
39:00 that is a roadway milling machine, it can easily remove 6 inches of roadway materials & dump it into rolling dump trucks driving infront of it ,its a very efficient piece of machinery...definitely removing the roadways or parking lot
I first visited Orlando in 1978 and with only the MK and "Lake Buena Vista/Disney Village" to visit, Church Street Station was a necessary diversion to fill time during our weeklong visit. International Drive was also a stop for inexpensive souvenirs.
The "wood chipper" is a milling machine, which rips up asphalt on the roads, and the conveyor belt loads what it pulls up into dump trucks. I used to see them a lot on I-4 construction.
You folks are hilarious--Adam has a tendency of winging it with his observations, which is charming. Drives autists batty.

Thanks for the content, Adam!
SWEET shirt Adam!!! One of the more underrated ANOES movies LOVE IT
Hi Adam, the white machine is a road surface removing machine, a big plane / shaver for the road.
Sure you can use it to cut down trees, but it’s better on the road, as you will need to flip it upside down for yard work!
It is not "Rod Iron". The correct description is "Wrought Iron."
Ah, another visit down memory lane! My family and I had many enjoyable visits to Church Street Station in the 1990's. Not a TREE SHREDDER. ITS AN ASPHALT SHREDDER .
WHY ARE YOU YELLING
@@GradyRho92- those asphalt grinders are LOUD...you need to yell....😬
@@GradyRho92 why are you an ASS
Not a tree shredder, but a cold planer. It’s an asphalt milling machine that removes pavement or concrete from driving surfaces.
Jani Lane was the best singer songwriter of that era. Dog Eat Dog was Warrant's best album. all my opinion of course.
Amazing video dude

Cool
Fascinating journey through history! Love the insights and nostalgic vibes!
I loved the ernest movies didn't realize one was filmed in orland ,when i kept waiting for another ernest movie until i found out he died .was a sad day. I think the 80s were so iconic even though i was a teenager
Loved that saloon and arcade.
Not a tree shredder. But it will make parking easier for the clown cart.
Adam, the machinery in the video is not a tree shredder it is a machine for paving
Adam, are you going to Swampfest again this year? February 15th
Jani Lane was a first class singer/songwriter. Many of those old Warrant songs are gems. Dude doesn’t get nearly the credit he deserves.
This video was awesome. That church st area was like a dream. I love places preserved like that. Seeing different areas of Florida was refreshing. More of this please :)
I'm guessing it's more of a late night bar scene there?
Adam, the door that you are referring to, that was Jani's Sunset Strip, is correct. When you walk through those doors, about ten feet past, are two flights of stairs, that led up to the open entrance, of the club. I partied their a couple of times. Was a great place.

Good morning Adam today video looks interesting film location and going to church street station. I see that your cousin was on video yesterday and today. Thanks for sharing this. You two have fun.😎📸👍
That is a pavement / asphalt removing machine adam 🤣🤣. But im sure it would mess up some trees as well. Lol
Adam, thanks so much for doing church Street today and I haven’t been there since I was a little kid
the white machine you have seen parked by 192. Is for grinding up asphalt
This brought back memories for my parents... they went on many dates at Church Street Station, they saw the city hall implosion live on TV, and my mom had her high school graduation at the old Orlando Arena.

Fantastic job, thanks.
Machine u said was a tree shredder I believe is an asphalt grinder
Hamburger Mary's in Downtown Long Beach as well 🏙
Milling machine for asphalt as others have said
Thank you Adam...

thanks for the vid,
Dude, that arcade is so cool
That's a road shredder
That machine was an ashphalt machine. The clue should have been the Road King decal on the side.
You always do a good job with filming locations. I have learned a lot from places you’ve shown.
Next trip: Fantasy of Flight in Orlampa FL? Off of I-4.
Nice to see how you spent SuperWoo Sunday with Nerd Locations! 🙂
A tree shredder Adam?
Cheyenne Saloon was Rosie O'Grady's back in the 70s
Cheyenne Saloon was always in that location. Great country western dance hall. Been there a lot and tons of fun. Rosie O'Grady's Good Time Emporium was across the street. That was also a fun place. G'day Adam, from Brisbane, Australia. Thanks for the video.
That is blacktop machinery.
Always enjoy the Daily Woo. Thank you for another adventure Adam.
That is not a tree shredder
That machine removes asphalt.
I know Church Street Station from the TV series that was there. Loved it! Great video!
Husband and I were just there Saturday . lol The same thing happened lots of people in their cars taking pictures and looking videos up on here . 😊
Yeah cold planer ripping the road up not a tree shredder or wood chipper maybe look it up before making something up Mr woo 👌

That machine is used to eat up asphalt and concrete
You explored the old stadium long a go
Love these types of vlogs always nice to learn more about where some of the movies are made thank you Sir 😊
I’ve watched Ernest Saves Christmas in the past year more than any other movie. It’s on Disney Plus and is my go to nighttime going to bed movie. Haha. Love it so much! “You want one for ya boy?”
29:45 that was very shitty of him 💩
Thanks for checking in on the Ernest locations!
Those phone booths look like the ones you can still use at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. That is a neat old station.
A machine named Roadtec probably isn’t a tree chipper. 😂
I remember how long it took for them to shoot that scene. Church street was so much fun back then with the restaurants and third floor arcade. And the Beacham theater around the corner. Warrant is playing Sea World March 24th during their food festival.
I went to a lot of games at the arena, saw many Shaq and Penny games there too. And Jordan and a lot of the greats. Those were good days.
Church Street Station was my spot in the late 70's early 80's awesome. Sadly the best places are not understood and now city is trying to put an awful project there!!

I love it when you explore downtown Orlando. I want to venture down. From Winterhaven. Or is it up. Or over.

The old city hall was next door to the new one not that open field
I was a wee lad when they demolished and filmed that scene. I did watch on TV. Hard to believe it’s been 33 years.
Happy Monday Adam 😎👍
Stop, kissing his butt after him to Marie you weirdo
Love seeing the Orlando station, My husband and I would get a sleeper from NY to Orlando every year and Mears car would pick us up at the station to head to The Boardwalk,,,,,,,,,,Vendor outside sold best hot dogs……Last 7 years we drive with my daughter and family and we stay over nite in Va, and then Kiera Island ,,,,,,Great trip…..I never was on plane, and never would, bad dream once, Excuse the rambling! Is that the same drain pipe that you wore flip flops in? I’m still waiting for part 2.
I have a belt buckle from Church Street Station back from the late 80s & early 90s! I hope they can revive it!
Bumped into Adam today in a queue in Hollywood studios. Got a pic so even more of a bonus. Caught me off guard 😂
Wow love the Nightmare on Elm Street shirt I met the Glove Maker once
I have a boiler from the boiler room.
39:00 that is a roadway milling machine, it can easily remove 6 inches of roadway materials & dump it into rolling dump trucks driving infront of it ,its a very efficient piece of machinery...definitely removing the roadways or parking lot
I’ve been to Rosie O’Grady’s at Church Street Station many times but it was during the 80’s and 90’s. Great country music venue!!!!
Hey over there! New Year’s Eve 1989 to 1990 my husband and I were Church Street station! And that’s why we made solid
💖
i hope they don't use wood chippers to mill aspahlt down there in Orlando. lol
Love JC Hanner. Especially "U Can't Touch This".
I first visited Orlando in 1978 and with only the MK and "Lake Buena Vista/Disney Village" to visit, Church Street Station was a necessary diversion to fill time during our weeklong visit. International Drive was also a stop for inexpensive souvenirs.
Love and honor for Jani Lane and Warrant!! Thanks for sharing so cool to see the history ❤️🤘🏼🙌🏼 RIP Jani Lane.
florida project is a fantastic downer
FYI- Lethal Weapon 3 was released in 1992. I remember seeing that in the theater. 😊
Holy cow that 80s arcade!!! 😍 That's man cave goals
