Can't help but feel this was an attempt to give Martin and Gordon a chance to win the race. They never specified the cause, and if dallenbach was the cause, they would have black flagged him and called him in. If they'd let it go green, he would have won this race. Jmo.
@@lemoncoke6173 usually they'll let the leader go instead of black flagging him. earnhardt probably dumping tranny fluid from his car. unless todd bodine left car parts on the track? funny thing about marks three-peat, is that each race he was rather lucky to end up winning at all. this race goes green like you said, wally wasnt going to lose half a second a lap with 10 to go, in 94 marks alternator wasnt working and he turned off all the brake fans and was having issues keeping irvan off of him and almost got punted on the last restart and in 93 after a horrendously bad pit stop he needed kyle petty to have a brain fade and wreck himself and earnhardt out while mark was in 3rd. this was the 3rd in 4 straight years i went to the glen and for those who dislike road courses they're a lot more fun than given credit for.
@@sicfrynut I'm rather fond of road courses. Especially when stock cars run them. I had considered going to the IndyCar grand prix at barber motorsports park this year, but it's been cancelled due to covid.

yes. (and sonoma as well) and even though some teams pitted right side then left side, more often teams would pit "backwards" starting driver side then passenger.
thank you for sharing. old school racing can be hard to watch as it fully instills the reality that all these amazing companies that used to be able to pump money into advertising have been all but if not completely destroyed. shame how screwed we are.
My first Cup race! I was 12, sitting in the Red grandstand with my father. When the field came by on lap 1, it blew my mind. :)

Dallenbach was more of a commentator than a driver
They never really specified what caused the third caution, though they did hint at it (possibly?) with Dallenbach's car leaking oil.
Was at this race, Earnhardt's car was probably the more likely culprit.
