As a Canadian Nascar fan it was always very cool to see Canadian road course ace Ron Fellows racing in one of the top 3 tier touring Nascar series as well as a handful of other Canadians who would race on the road courses & sometimes the ovals such as Jacque Vellenuve-Patrick Carpentier-Paul Tracy-Andrew Ranger-J.R. Fitzpatrick-DJ Kennington etc
Jeff Gordon was a hell of a driver. Could win any race anywhere.once Jeff cleared rusty. Jeff ran like 3 sec a lap faster than skinner damn
The year me and my friends met Dale Earnhardt Sr and we offered to take him out on lake Seneca on my buddy’s house boat and do some fishing on Saturday after final practice “Happy Hour” it was a done deal but unfortunately Somebody forgot to tell Dale he was meeting with people from GM Goodwrench to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Nascar and celebrate his win at Daytona 500
This was nascar 1998 was my favorite season.
Larry Mac is my favorite crew chief of all time took a gamble and gave Skinner his best NASCAR finish too date
A classic Rusty fading race. He did that often in the late 90s and early 2000s.
Rusty Wouldn't Do That in The Late 80s to Mid 90s
Rusty didn’t run traction control like that 24 car did. Funny how when NASCAR started monitoring the ignition systems the 24 faded in performance…
Can't thank you enough for all these great videos! I was a very young race fan in the 90s, so getting to watch these clips brings back great memories. Makes me miss what racing used to be!

Mark Martin's dad Julian was killed in a plane crash the night before this race. He wouldn't find out about it until after the race had finished.

That 24 team was cheating so much in 1998 it’s laughable. Credit to them though for doing it better than anybody else at that time though.
