I busted my knee open trying to run home from church to watch this race in 93. Didn't even get to enjoy the race as I waited for my dad to come home from work and take me to the hospital to stitch up the gaping wound. I got a scar to this day from wanting to watch this race. Now that I've seen it is on YoutTube, I might have to sit down and watch the whole thing eventually.
@@loutenant9480 I stand corrected then, just checked that '93 Phoenix race and you are right, I did see an Olds in that one. Thanks for the clarification
Patrick Carpentier,Jacque Velleauve,Ron Fellows,Alex Tagliani are a few great Canadian road Courses Aces. For you American race fans give a watch to the Canadian Nascar Pintys Series which is on RUclips, they went State side last year & the year before to New Hampshire Speedway. It’s a very diverse series with very talented drivers who have to be able to race on ovals, road courses, street courses & this year for the first time on dirt at Oshweken so it takes a very talented driver & team to run well in this series.
watch the 94 and 95 races here same car..lol 3 wins in a row at the glen in that car. He raced that same car like 5 or 6 years in a row. If there was something wrong with that car they would have found it.

Man, just listen to that 850hp heaven! 8:46 They sounded, looked (actual real paint) and raced so much better, 80s through the 90s best era period! Cars now with those shit new 550hp engines don't even compare they are pathetic compared to these breast!
My favourite 3 nascar drivers are in 1st 2nd and 3rd place at the moment That's until the pit stop problem with the right rear tyre with the number 6 car
Great drive by Mark, but you have to wonder, on that last pit stop they must have known the restart would be with only about 12 or 13 to go. Why didn't they do left side only as soon as they had a problem on the right rear?
1989, 1990, and 1993 Schrader had the worst luck of any nascar driver. Even more then the second most unlucky driver mark Martin. I’m telling you. Watch all these races Schrader gets taken out in 1993 while battling up in the top 5.
Never have liked the bodine brothers I don't get how Geoff was in the lead after the 3 caution Dale Earhart was in the lead when he came out of the pits Both bodine brothers bumped a few drivers off the track early in the race
Lake scored a couple top 10s in it before Ernie took over too. He showed what he could do in good equipment if given the chance. I think he'd have had more good runs if Ernie wasn't able to get out of his contract with Morgan/McClure.
RIP Bob and Benny. You, Jerry, and Ned will always be the best in the booth for NASCAR.
I’d like to add Buddy Baker to that list as well.
I really really love watching these Old nascar racing a WHOLE WHOLE LOT
I love how Mark made sure to get his thanks to Wally on the record. That's a real man.
He’s always had class. Being polite on the track probably cost him a championship, but you gotta respect him.

Mark completely destroyed that race no doubt. One of his best races. What a great race in general. Would watch again 8.5/10
2:10:32 one of the most underrated great nascar moments in history
Last appearance from an Oldsmobile in Winston Cup Racing; which was what Scott Gaylord was driving
Wrong, last appearance from Olds was in Phoenix fall race of 1993. In 94 one of DNQ cars for brickyard 400 was an Oldsmobile also.
@@loutenant9480 I stand corrected then, just checked that '93 Phoenix race and you are right, I did see an Olds in that one. Thanks for the clarification
Love that starting line-up music!!
It look like Rick Mast's Ford either lost its brakes completely or the throttle just stuck wide open.
Love the uploads bud. Very good quality. Love the thumbnails for the videos too!
2 straight races with an in-race commentator that didn't finish the race and joined the booth for the duration. Weird lol

One of the best races ever!!!
Hell of a finish!
I wonder if Mark’s car was even legal that thing was so good. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a car that dominant.

How many cars did Mark pass in that race? Wow!
Love to find pictures of the Bojangles car from the Glen!
I have been going to Watkins Glen for 33 years
Rare sighting of a Oldsmobile in nascar , probably one of the last times a Olds ran in nascar at 1:43:11 mark
WA$ the last race that an Olds ran in.

Ernie left quite a path of destruction during this race lol

Jesus Christ that Rick Mast wreck

probably because Mark felt he needed 4 regardless of how long it took and didn't want to chance a tire going down .

That’s typical of Ernie at that time.

50:34 Unfortunate, but understandable mistake by the commentator.
You could tell Benny felt bad about it.
He did apologize for his mistake.

2:10:53 - lol
6:16-6:40 Wrong series
2:10:24 if anyone did anything like this these days they would get fined and parked with the cold fish no personality sport it's turned into.
