What a good time for tv! The Braves and Nascar were well known to me and most Americans. I was only 12 or 13 but there was a lot of good about those days!

It looked to me like Ricky mistimed the start and got a slight jump, then stacked up the outside lane when he backed off to make sure Ernie was first to the line, triggering the pileup
@@charliesmith5545 slot of people don't know it but after Davey got killed Ford wanted Robert Yates to go after Earnhardt but he remained loyal to Childress could you imagine the intimidator in the 28 car, but Ernie was a great choice also.

Irvan would have won tons of races in that 28 car ,Earnhardt might not be a seven time champion had Irvan not been injured.
Ernie Irvan would have dominated in the mid and late 90s and may have been Jeff Gordon's biggest rival during that era!
@@andywarren5905 yeah Ernie was a hell of a driver, Earnhardt may not have won his 7th championship in 94 if Irvan had not been hurt.
