Just would like to say with the help of you and the vintage nascar race coverage channels, I have watched from the first televised flag to flag coverage race (1979 Daytona 500), all the races (winston cup, Busch) up to this exact race so far, I have gotten great joy watching the story and history of nascar unfold in front of me race by race. I especially enjoy your uploads for the quality and raw feed aspect. Thank you for helping a millennial develop a respect and love for nascar, you are greatly appreciated.
Real true fans watch the old races and keep up with the history. I started with the 2000 season and went all the way through to 2007. Didn't feel like watching the 2008 season so I went back to 1980 and been going down the entire line of races since.
The day ernie proved he deserved that seat. I was a kid but i remember him pulling his race suit down to show that shirt in victory Lane.....just a badass moment. #DoitforDavey
Cudos to Brett Bodine for going as far as he did in this race (around 380 laps). With a broken forearm that would not have been easy, especially on a tight track like Martinsville.

Haha, I have been doing the same. Started with Daytona 86, watching Indycar and Imsa too!
Update: up to the 1997 season, included the trucks and now watching qualifying just to spice things up if as if they weren’t already 😎

If I remember correctly this is when the public opinion on Ernie began to change. Always thought this was pure class from him.

another showcase of earnhardt hitting others left and right...
No doubt Davey was smiling from above watching that performance from the 28 team.
This was the last race until 2016 at Atlanta that featured a field of less than 40 cars
I love Michael Waltrip 💗💋
