My dad has had his ikea cabinets for way longer than 7 years and they still look great. We're considering them for our house when we redo our kitchen as well. They have such amazing organization systems
I live in Denmark. I have had a Ikea kitchen for 18 years, i did change the fronts after 10 years (before they got the new sizes) and Voila!! Got a new kitchen 😁. But it held up very well.
in my country, diy concrete kitchen if you had skillset is cheaper, way more cheaper, even with tools, but the best thing about ikea is, you can always had their product support in the future like changing damaged or broken parts, and redesign them, customizing repeatedly and they had small products for organizing stuff... anyway, you really do something here that make me think, was the kitchen for 18 years you say the same or you keep changing it for 18 years? because im thnking to go ikea route or diy concrete... because both of the way, ikea still better in craftmanship and aesthetically tidy and looks great...
We have an IKEA kitchen it’s now 16 years old and my husband fitted it, we have shaker style oak doors and the real wood butchers block work surfaces and it still looks fantastic. The worktop has been sanded and rewarded twice, the white insides have a few marks on but nothing much. We have the same sink as you which still looks amazing! I would highly recommend 🖤
Such a great kitchen! Our kitchen was installed when the previous owner lived here. Our cabinets were custom built. My sister has IKEA cabinets- I love her cabinets because of the organizational bonuses of IKEA cabinetry. The soft closure- all of that. Not that I’m not grateful for my cute kitchen. I think IKEA does a great job helping you maximize every cabinet for storage.
I'm in the US, so things might be a little different here. We paid for a designer deal, so they sent someone to our house to measure everything and then we had a designer working with us do design the kitchen and make sure everything would work and have the fillers necessary. After we purchased our kitchen from IKEA, they refunded 100% of the money we paid for the designer deal. It was awesome! And here the installers do all the finishing details, unless you use products that are not sold by IKEA. We got our door handles from a different place, so I had to install them myself, but that was pretty easy. We've only had our kitchen for a year, but we love it!
My IKEA kitchen is one year in and I love it! I didn’t have the greatest experience with the 3rd party company that was hired my IKEA to install but my kitchen is amazing and I was able to customize it for 1/10 the cost of custom cabinets even with Home Depot.
Using kitchen cupboards in other areas is perfect, love the mixture of colours in your kitchen. Love how Ikea hang the base units on a bar looks so easy . Take care everyone 😉

Hi Christina. I’m from Australia and we have just bought an ikea kitchen. I am so excited about it and can’t wait to get it installed. We are getting someone to install for us because I want it done right. I love your kitchen and have admired it every time I watch your videos that it is in. Had no idea it was ikea. This makes me so happy to see that yours is one. We got a few custom kitchen place to come and give us quotes, but they where way over our budget. I have admired ikea kitchens every time I go there. I have also had a number of people say don’t go with ikea, and to be honest it really upset me. I have done a lot of research and there is a lot out there that have ikea kitchens and are very happy with them. And.....what I like is that they have a 25 year warranty. As with everything, you will always find someone that is not happy with something. I am so excited to get ours. We also did an IKEA kitchen about 7-8 years ago. I love it. The only downfall is the dishwasher we purchased from their (because of the hidden front). It hasn't been as good as we'd like and when we do our next house we will do another kitchen from IKEA again and just buy appliances elsewhere. The over the range microwave from IKEA is great though!
How did you buy the vanity for the bathroom that has the single sink on one side? Maybe they don’t sell it at Ikea anymore :( I really want it because I’m having a baby soon

I love my IKEA kitchen, which was installed in 2012. They are all white, which many have turned yellow. Can anyone tell me why and if IKEA would correct this?
I love using IKEA products!! Their functionality and durability are great in my experience. I have never regretted any of my IKEA purchases! We redid my closet using PAX systems and my daughter's, as well. I wish we had a closer one, though. We make a journey to ATL to get our IKEA products. I live in Chattanooga, TN. I have to redo my front porch this year, but an IKEA kitchen redo is definitely on my list!! Lol!!

We are thinking of redoing our kitchen and IKEA seems the way to go. I am not a skilled carpenter at all and my husband works looong hours. Every review I have seen or heard is similar. Products are great, but IKEA install is seriously lacking and customer service stinks. That makes me nervous. However, everyone raves about the cabinets and their function. Thanks for the video. It keeps me optimistic on this project.
You could try and hire someone outside of IKEA to install it - we did it ourselves (double check for yourself how this effects the warranty though) but there are companies that specialize in installing IKEA stuff :)

We put in an IKEA kitchen in our downstairs suite 8 years ago and it turned out awesome and are holding up great! Love Ikea! ❤️❤️❤️

Particle board is not MDF. The cabinets carcasses are made of particle board.

Such a beautiful kitchen, but how easy is it to keep the cabinet doors fingerprint free. When the sun shines through my existing kitchen, the maple wood cabinets look so grimy. I´m considering the Bodbyn green kitchen, but I´m afraid I´ll end up having to polish it all the time.
