    Kirk thank you kindly for continuing to put out content all these years. Ive just purchased an 01 with 33.5k miles and have saved myself likely thousands in shop repairs by following your guides. My final feels a bit squirrely so I'll be checking for play in the rear wheel today.

    2000 LT with 97,000 and no problems yet. But some how when Kurt gives me a heads up the problem shows up. Sometimes I don't know if I should thank him or blame him.😊

    I’ll be checking mine on my 2003 k1200 GT since I’m in the process of changing the clutch using your videos as a guide of course

    I just bought a 2003 k1200 LT and the final driver caught fire bringing it home the day I bought it. Not even a 15 miles trip. I’m down to figure out how to fix this issue on my own following your great videos. Much appreciated.

      This was one of my fears. It sounds like it was low on fluid or didn't have fluid!

    Hello,
    Advantages or disadvantages regarding the speed sensor of the back wheel that is visible on this model versus other ones ?
    Thank you for the videos !

    Do you provide the rebuilder of the final drive as I did not see it in the list of links?

    Thank you for all your hard work,you've been a life save over the years .Our 04 K1200RS is heavy steering with only 10K miles I wonder what your opinion is.Ball joints? going to tear into it this fall

    • @kirksmotorrad
      @kirksmotorrad  Год назад

      Ball joints can certainly go bad. At least jack up the front and see what is going on. 10k is pretty low miles

    Somehow, I have 175k miles on Yamaha FJR1300 final drives, never had a single problem. No problems with the engine or clutch either.

    They have only been doing shaft drive for 100yrs. You would think they would have it down by now. Any Japanese bikes with failing shaft drives?
