I normally agree with you Dee but why are you more mad at Dua Lipa for defending her brand than you are at Dababy for being homophobic as fuck. And btw Dua is a regular activist for LGBT
Waddup Cory. I stated in the vid that although I think Dababy is an ignorant idiot, I personally don’t think he was being homophobic nor purposely malicious and offensive. That’s what’s important to me, the intent. As I said, I honestly think he’s just slow. Should he be cancelled and should people be outraged? If that’s what they choose to do, I don’t care lol. As a member of the LGBTQ community, I wasn’t offended but if they wanna be bothered and cancel him, they have the right to do so. I went in on Dua Lipa because her actions were very calculated, fake and snake like (to ME). She claims she’s standing to support the gay community when in reality she’s just shitting on him because everyone else is and is covering her own ass. If he didn’t get backlash, I would bet money she would’ve never spoke on this issue at all. Why only do it because you’re getting pressure? That’s not genuine. So that’s the issue I have, she’s fake and engaging in what they call “performative activism” in this situation. She may be a regular activist in support of the community, but is she regularly calling people out for problematic behavior? Has she done this before? With all the people who constantly shit on gay people, why is she only speaking up in THIS situation? It’s just fake and disingenuous IMO. I hope that further clarified my stance. I’m responding to you because I know you’re a regular supporter. Much love! ❤️
@@DeeShanell10 That’s actually really clarified it a lot more! I actually do agree with you and although there could’ve likely been someone behind the scenes telling Dua to protect her image I agree it comes across as quite performative. I appreciate you so much for replying and clarifying. Love you and your content so much, my favourite youtuber and the only one I keep up with daily! Once again appreciate you for always keeping it real and I feel blessed that you notice me supporting you on the regular‼️❤️

Dee if I’m being honest, I think the reason you are popular and have a fan base is because you always stick to what you believe in and are outspoken about it. You may be losing subscribers, yes, but your main core audience consists of people that watch you cause you always keep it real in regards to what you believe in. If you agreed with everything the majority has to say, you wouldn’t stick out and would just be like every other reactor.
I agree 100%. People will not always like the bitter truth and hide under sugarcoated lies to make themselves feel better. Dee is always real with it and isn’t afraid to have a say in what she believes is right. Though she may be losing those few subs due to her honest opinions, she will always have the main ones as you said that watch her for her honest and truthful takes.
I noticed on Patreon many stans at first would force kpop on her but the ones who stayed, they learned to accept her honesty. They first started by forcing their opinions or favorites on her and got sensitive when she wouldnt like some requests and they would leave, now the kpop stans who stayed, took moments to understand what she liked and interested her, like if she doesnt like the kpop song, she might still enjoy the mv,the concept, the charisma or most likely, the choreo. Many take it as a fun challenge to see what songs they can find that will win dee's seal of approval lol and they look forward to it when they finally get what she likes to react to. There will always be ppl who take honesty as a bad thing and many may be too sensitive. I mention kpop cuz dee didnt like it and would be straight up about it but she gives stans the chances to still request their faves and sensitive fans aside, she has found some bands that while she ain't feeling the song, shes still enjoyed their personalities or choreography and she also mentions and shows how much she learned about the cultural differences between america and the Asian cultures . Many act like she shuts them down or is being problematic simply for being blunt and not gaf about it. I have seen so many mature yt and patreon comments that respect her opinions instead of attack or act childish. Many also try to educate or keep an open mind when she says something that is genuinely out of line and she then retracts her statements and apologizes when she mentions the topic in another video. It's fine to unsubscribe if u dont feel comfortable with what is being said, but there are some that are just too childish to the point where it's just sad. 💀
I respect your opinion, but I disagree Dee. Demi has always been active on LGBT issues. And they didn't hop on to cancel Dababy, they posted something about STATISTICS on HIV and AIDS. Edit : people responding to this with Demi, please use They/Them 😂😭🥴 and save the slander because I'm v diplomatic I'll end up siding with you 😤
Ehhh I think dua lipa is VERY flip floppy bc if she is such an LGBTQ activist then why work with so many artists who have outright made homophobic statements like pop smoke, wale, and Dababy… I think she is definitely picking and choosing so she can boost success by catering to the hip pop community.
But Dee u were all “business is business” when dababy did that to Megan but now dua is bad for not wanting to damage her reputation when most of her fanbase IS lgbtq????

I’m not saying he’s at fault for any of that, but this is the type of rhetoric that people use to justify their hate.
I just think it's sad that people still won't address the elephant in the room. The fact that it's okay for a black man to talk about shooting another black man on every song sickens me. We have to be mad at everything or be mad at nothing
Because black on black crime is either ignored or something that people weirdly just expect. If you notice anyone that brings up black on black crime outside of music is antagonized and it gets further glamorized in music. Police brutality has been deemed one of the biggest threats to black people. Even though systematic racism and police brutality are very wrong as well those issues always overshadow other underlying issues.
TO DABABY, DO NOT USE RACE OR THE BLACK COMMUNITY TO TRY TO MISLEAD OFF THE TOPIC AT HAND. AND THEN YOU NOT REALIZING THAT YOU DISRESPECTED THE BLACK COMMUNITY CUZ WE SUFFER FROM THAT DISEASE THE MOST.
The only thing is I wanna see all of these huge celebs use that same energy when a person says some racist shit, I don't remember them speaking out about Morgan Wallace when he said the n word or Chris Harrison from the bachelor, particularly white celebs
Its a lose lose situation, but of course let’s attack her instead of him for his wrong doings lmao. Most people know most of her fanbase are gay men & woman. Madonna done said something back and she’s been a HUGE activist for the LGBT community since the start of her career.
Think about it... she's trying to protect her image despite the fact she's profiting from a song that has a feature that is going against the same community she supports. Its not real support... she could take him off the song...she could stop profiting from it...or get someone on a new remix
it's moreso sad that dua basically was forced to do it bc people on all kinds of social media platforms started to associate his words with her. like you said, he's a grown ass men and his words had consequences i just don't get why people would attack her rn for defending herself in this misogynistic ass world where she was dragged into the whole situation for. no. reason.

He literally talked down on the people with HIV and aids, dua and Demi have both been activist for the lgbt community BEFORE the entire situation was brought up
Thats exactly why I hate when youtubers insert their opinions into things without doing the tiniest bit of research before coming with an opinion. I didn't even have to research it to know the full situation. I went on snapchat, saw an article, clicked it and just tapped through it and if there was anything to read I did. Now that I actually know what the hell happened I formed my opinion, its not that difficult to educate yourself
And he literally punched a black woman just the other day but where were y’all when that happened? Literal physical violence against black women doesn’t get u canceled but a few ignorant remarks do?
Ngl I listened and only listened to the solo version before this whole situation so calling her a culture vulture is a cover up to disguise ppl not calling him out. If you really like someone you call them out when they wrong
Calling her a culture vulture is so dumb, she’s worked with two black rappers, her whole last album was disco pop, and Levitating is a purely POP song and DaBaby has been hopping on pop songs to spread his audience. How is she a culture vulture
I feel like Dua Iipa responded because people still connect them together. Yeah the song came out awhile ago, but I still hear it a lottt. I feel like dababy said something that was very ignorent and homophobic because you didn't need to say anything about sucking anything whether targeted at someone specific or not gay people are very validly offended. People with HIV and AIDS are really just minding there business and then he just says this. The ignorance he has to the topic is so embarassing. Basically saying that they dirty is so terrible to me. He really just could've kept that in his head.I just think he felt comfortable with saying something not really thinking he get cancelled like this because he's a part of the hip-hop world where comments like this have been passed by before. In the beginning he tried to deflect and it didn't make sense because to me, he meant what he said. And I guess in a way that thought it was funny. So for the most part I don't think people are overreacting. I also wasn't mad about demi because she spoken out of other problematic situations before so its not like selective to me. Generally I don't the culture of people coming for different people every single day about something it's so annoying to me. But to me this is a definite situation where he needs to be checked. But I love you Dee and respect your opinion 💕💕
Dee you saying she wanna kick this man while he down??? Umm didn’t he kick HIV people just because of their illness? And Dua is pretty consistent about her activism. Don’t be selective right.
No shade I’m not defending neither of them because I’m apart of the lgbtq community and I did think what dababy said was ignorant and partially homophobic. But I’m not understanding how Dua Lipa is acting surprised at Dababy like he hasn’t been a problem since the beginning. She just tryna save her own ass 💀
@@tyrone6 If he homophobic for saying HIV/AIDS or sucking dudes dicks in cars then who isn’t? 🤣 This shit is so petty. I genuinely do not see anything homophobic in what he said.

@@sadiedixson6116 Music industry isn’t that simple. Lot of times, the artist isn’t aware of the featured artist until the song comes out. Sometimes the label will send the song to other artists and whoever sends the song back first is on the remix. As a producer, this is very common in the industry. Biggest example of this being the Pop Smoke’s Welcome To The Party. He didn’t know Nicki sent a verse on the remix until the day the song came out.

He’s being justifiably canceled. The industry is just business and business is cutthroat. You can have a different opinion about shit… that’s your right. However, when you use your right to insult/be insensitive towards folks, you can’t be mad at the backlash to come. You compared him to a kid, but he’s definitely a grown man.
Dee did say he made a stupid statement though, lol. She even emphasized he's grown, that's why his action was even more ridiculous. The main sentiment was that people are making more issues than what was present. I will say that it did go a bit left, but it made sense for the most part. Demi Lovato definitely didn't deserve that shot though, but I can't comment on Amber Rose because I don't fool with her, LOL.

Most of your rant was about the people speaking out against his bull, and then you say they should be "educating" him. Educate what? He's proved time and time again that he does not care about shit. Like, weigh the scales. Dua Lipa who doesn't do shit, or Dababy who's already a damn menace.
Much love! ❤️

Yep that why I am here cause she won’t hold back and speaks her mind

@@mj2smoov170 The two of them have a year old song that’s STILL trending and probably one of his biggest songs(features) so rather she wants to or not she’s still attached to his name at the moment. She was in a lose/lose situation.
Smoov Do you not understand the irony of what you’re saying and do y’all not know the meaning of that phrase? It’s a sympathetic phrase towards a victim of circumstance who is given more negativity than necessary on top of the victimizing circumstances.
Dababy wasn’t a victim of circumstance in any regard whatsoever. He actually victimized others and his toxic behavior dug his own hole for himself.
And if it didn’t matter and he didn’t care about who or what is cancelling him for the “20th time”, then you can’t say “kick him while he’s down” if he wasn’t down in the first place!

True!
Then people need to get a hobby. That's not fair that she should take the backlash for not saying something all because she did a little collab with him last year, like what in the world!
She should just stayed home and kept quiet and dyed her roots.
Um, Dee, there's no such thing as going on a rant without malicious intent. He was very clearly targeting someone. And so what if Dua Lipa was being fake to the colorist, ignorant, woman beating baby father known as DaBaby?! If he would've kept his mouth shut, or at least offered a genuine apology, instead of that mess he put out, everything would be good. It's not just what he said(which was dangerously stupid anyway). It's the fact that he doubled down on his garbage when people tried to educate him.
People outraged over “cancel culture” is pure comedy to me 😂
Ikr. The fact that some people get so upset at others for simply holding other people accountable for their shitty behaviour, is very telling.
I don’t think there was anything with dua making that post because, yes, the song is a year old but it just started popping off on tiktok so people are gonna look at Dua. Also dua has always been a activist for the LGBTQ+ community so ofc she’s gonna speak up about it
so why she don't just take his version off?

I think Dua had every right to speak out given that LEVITATING is currently charting in the top 10, one of the longest top 10s ever. So with all the flack she was receiving, a response was warranted. Demi Lovato ALWAYS defending and raising awareness about the LGBTQ+ community considering they're a part of it themself. One look through their Instagram page will tell you all that. To say that Demi is doing this for clout or attention is just disrespectful to all they have done to help the community. They don't need anymore attention, they have a 100mil followers on Instagram and one of the best selling artists of the last decade....

Tbh, I think Dua should’ve just unfollowed him and left it at that. However, trying to insinuate that she’s a “culture vulture” for working with a black artist, who he willingly decided to work with her. What Dababy said was objectively trash to the highest degree.
Right. All she did was work with a black artist. She stayed in her pop lane and didn’t appropriate any black culture with this collab. I don’t see what people are calling her a culture vulture all bc she collabed with him.
Right, how is she a culture vulture? She’s a bigger artist with a bigger platform who gave him an opportunity and I’m sure he was paid handsomely lol.
