Y'all ever just think about how unnerving the story of KHUx is? The whole data Daybreak thing sounds like the plot of a horror movie.
Especially because they're just kids. Imagine a young kid being given this incredible weapon literally in the palm of their hands and told they have to go out and fight monsters. Join up with one of these 5 teams and form an almost cult like devotion to them, being told to risk their life against stronger and stronger foes in the name of their clan, while gradually believing that any of the other clans could actually be their enemy. Then one day get rallied to go and massacre your brethren, everyone, it doesn't matter just kill everyone that isn't one of us. Unnerving is almost an understatement
@@damo This has been said before but the most horrifying part of the Keyblade War is that we all assumed it was a battle against ancient keyblade knights who were masters of their craft, wielding lost power and knowledge that our present day heroes couldn't hope to match up to, and that their power was so great it consumed them and destroyed them all, we all assumed that they were fully trained soldiers who were corrupted by their desire for light and went to war over it.
Then we get to experience it, and it's armies of child soldiers fighting each other for a cause they didn't understand, in a doomed war with no victor, all because of one madman's grand unknown plan. Going to the Keyblade Graveyard and knowing that every last one of those keys belonged to a child just. Completely changes the context of everything that happens in that setting. Nomura's did all of this in a fun chibi spin-off browser/mobile game. The absolute madman.

@@Slater2113 Wow, I actually had no idea that people responded to this comment. While I really want the KH series to move forward, I think it'd be great if one of the new KH teams was working on a Re: Unionx or something like that. It's such a great story that's hindered by gacha and even more filler than usual for KH games and I think it sorta sucks that so many more casual KH fans know nothing about the coolest arcs in the series.

Let me say Thank you for this video. I mean it wholeheartedly. Thanks a whole freaking lot for this video.
It finally laid to rest a lot of the confusion that I've been having with this particular story. Before watching this video, I had a different understanding of the events, which meant that I've always had this feeling that something was off, really off. Some pieces just didn't fit, and while I had a general picture, I was still confused.
Thanks to this video, I was able to understand a very minor, yet very important detail that made everything clear in my mind.
I'm referring to the whole data world after the Keyblade war. Basically, I now understand that the whole story in Union X is the alternate data version, and that the true events happened back in Kingdom Hearts chi (which we didn't get). But now it all makes sense. I feel so relieved to finally understand what's going on.

Something not mentioned in the video, the Keyblade War is an event that has been going on since the Master of Masters was a child. The war back in his day is what led to the destruction of the original X-Blade.
so in conclusion we can guess that the black box contains the heart of someone whom the Master of Masters wanted to keep alive in the present time, either his heart, or Darkness's.

This is an example of the greatest strength and greatest weakness of the kingdom hearts series: it’s strength is the somber melancholic tone it instills in the audience.
It’s weakness in that in the authors attempt to connect everything in the timeline each other the story becomes incredibly hard to follow.
This is the type of content I like to see from you man! Just straight story update. Loved how in the end you gave an idea of what you think might happen and your theory about how everyone gets placed in the future. I like it because it doesn’t sound too far and seems reasonable. You’re the best! Also I just beat Yozora on critical mode and he is definitely the hardest person I’ve ever fought in Kingdom Hearts.

I feel like we might be reaching the end of the Kingdom Hearts UX story when it comes to the mobile game and that it will all continue in the next Kingdom Hearts Saga. If it's true that all the characters will use the arch to travel forward in time, the same way as Maleficent will, then everyone will get to their place in the story and the continuation of the new Saga can go further again with the original foretellers, Luxu and maybe the Master of Masters.
I agree, it feels like the natural end to the story is coming soon, at least based off what we know from Luxus reports. Now the question is how long will they string us along with filler missions until they want to get to the true final story moments. Of course the story could take another left turn and stretch on for several more years, but I'd estimate we're not going to make it much past 2020
@@damo Well lets be honest here. From a business perspective they'll probably never end this. UX makes so much money it would be stupid not to continue it. However in the best case scenario it would be better for them to wrap this up, or continue this until the next KH game comes out. I feel like UX and Re:Mind are most likely gonna be a bridge towards the next Kingdom Hearts saga where it will continue with the foretellers. Maybe they could still pull something clever with UX while the next saga continues, but if I'm completely honest it might be better if they wrap this up imo.
@@AlecdeBoer04 Agreed. The best case scenario is to just finish the plot of UX before the next main KH game comes out and let the next saga continue the story from there. But, as Square still wants to make money, continue the UX services with all of the weekly/monthly events, challenges, boards, P2W, etc., just without updating the story mode portion (no more "coming soon" squares in the mode). A lot less pressure on the team making UX content, and we can see the KH lore in more meaningful graphics with voice acting. Win-win
@@AlecdeBoer04 I think what will happen, we know after the DLC, there is a back story game to Master Xehanort. If this guys brilliant theory makes sense, and is canon. We would need UX to end to know what happens next.

Considering the Re-Mind DLC says a "great cost" is loosing your powers. I think the "Great cost" to leave the world line is that everyone looses their keyblade and the power to wield one (we know that Nobodies can have keyblade so why did non of the Organisation 13 Nobodies have them).
I am so lost. Sora is vanished, Luxu is up to something evil, The master of masters is still out there, and we have no clue why the fore tellers are back. UGH!

I think it's interesting that Maleficent seems to have a bigger role than I thought, especially considering how the Disney villains characters have been sidelined since the first Kingdom Hearts game.

The Traitor "The one with the Sigil" might be Ventus possessed by Vanitas, NOT a union Leader, meaning the MoM saw / predicted Ava's betrayal against his plans
Is brain's name, really brain, because I feel like if it isn't, his real name would be Luxord without the X rearranged. Also the trailer shows that Luxord clearly remembers something as he said "He is no longer going to play dumb".
Your theories are great and work so perfectly, but I can guarantee that the real answers will be 1000 times more insane than anything we could possibly come up with.

it would make sense or Master Ava to be the traitor as she bears the mask of the wolf...she's basically a wolf in sheep's clothing. Sheep being "followers to the shepherd" as in they are the followers of the Master of the Masters. Therefore, with her trying to stop the future the master had intended. That makes here the traitor.

Ok so a lot of people are thinking Skuld is the girl that Lea and Isa tried to rescue, what if she is the 'Imposter' but doesnt know it. We already know that Zehanort has played with time and apparently knows at least something about the past and the war. Imagine if Zehanort had somehow gotten to the past and he's the one that Killed Strelitzia (Or maybe it was Luxu or MoM considering they would already know what Xehanort was going to do and it's like a Paradox), replacing her position with someone or rather something like Xion and Replica Riku was. It was mentioned that Lea and Isa went back one day and the girl was gone.. was that when they Sent her back as one of his vessels?
sorry, im a bit confused about enchanted dominion, and how its not in the 'real world' before the keyblade war. does that mean enchanted dominion only started existing with the new worldline? and the MoM made a data copy of it in the past to trick maleficient?
I'm curious as to what happened to Daybreak Town. It's completely submerged and it has been confirmed by Nomura that it is in fact, the real Daybreak Town, and Scala was built upon its ruins. Like wtf happened!? He gives us answers that only lead to more questions :/
If the Heartless that they battled were illusions, then what about the light taken from the Hesrtless that flowed into Kingdom Hearts at the end of the war?

The song playing from 3:20 to 4:25 is the song playing during Luxord's defeat cutscene in KH3. The person that ripped the copy I have called it 'Seeker Luxord', I'm not sure if that's the official title or not

I think the master of master is from the future. His history of the keyblade wars are the war we been fighting. The dandelions, birth by sleep, kh1, etc. He set that in motion to change the future he came from. It suck cuz it seem like sora is the key for him to connect to the past and future. Maybe riku too because of his time with ansem and his control of time.

This upcoming saga potential could really play the boundaries of pushing and pulling the fan base from a narrative point of view.
Finally making decisions that have a permanent outcome.
Playing from our hype by showing us all POVs. Understanding both sides not wanting either side to lose but we all know they conflict for their appropriate reasons....so much hype!

I could defintely see Sora goes against the master in the next saga, not seeing the overall big picture goal the master has. And of course if the foretellers are still loyal to him then yeah, I could absolutely see Sora clashing with them, the chessboard at the end of kh3 seems to almost confirm it

So UX might be Ending soon, the "Big Finale" might closer than ever. Lets think for a second straight, they havent shown yet Luxord and Demyx's somebodies, stretlitzia's destiny in a future (Probably wont be that relevant). If they all enter the "Ark" lets ask ourselves, ¿Where on Earth is our Player? He or she is obviously cannon could KHUX continue the story but in our player's mission that will problably connect to future KH Games. If this happens, I can see KHUX getting pass 2021 to problably a few more years but if they end the story with the "Ark", the story can end between 2020 and 2021(Unless they keep ading Filler Missions). It's true KHUX is a P2W game but think about the time you enjoyed playing it so much. If KHUX does shut down problably SQEX will open up a similar game remember that KHUX makes a lot of money and it's not overall convinient for them to end the game there, I have a feeling we might be just be seeing more of KHUX soon. Btw your Summary was amazing. Your Theory Fits on the whole Brain part since I can see it Happening, but one of the big questions is where is our Player gonna End or find himself.

Bruh, plz pay attention, Strelitzia's dead. Her murder is one of the central conflicts of Union Cross since it's possible that her killer is one of the new Union leaders and might be the reason the Unchained Realm is being threatened.
I saw a theory that Luxord is from Yazora's world because apparently the car driver has his voice? I haven't fact checked this though, but you definitely rekindled my interest.
I hope there's one more update before Re:MIND.
Ephemer is going to be a part of Sora’s guidance and conscious after ReMind
And hopefully he'll tell Sora about stuff in the past, like Ven's extended past, and maybe where Luxord and Demyx' Somebodies fit into all this. We already know that Lauriam is a New Union Leader and Elrena was in Strelitzia's party.
Goddamn it, this franchise's story did not need to be this convoluted. I can respect wanting to build lore and add depth to things but this is just too too much.
Beyond that, great recap and analysis.
Whatever happened to just running around Disney worlds, smashing stuff? I want to enjoy these games but they're so complicated, I don't think I'll bother in the future. Especially after watching Melody of Memory; I'm glad I didn't pay money for that one.
