When Maleficent returned at Yen Sid's tower. Merryweather was about to speak and Flora covered her mouth, telling her to speak or remember. But it was too late.
@leoeoeoeoe kH2 when the crow dropped Maleficent's robe in the Mysterious Tower and the Three Good Fairies scrambled to not remember the evil fairy.
That was the point. The memory of maleficent was the point that she'd have to lock in on.
So long as you have a presence regardless of alive or dead, so long as you have even a piece of you existing and present in some point of time, you can time travel straight to it, and as Maleficent demonstrated in KH2, it's possible to even return from your "death".

I think it's crazy that this obnoxious and convoluded plot may have had an actual direction and has been making sense since the early 2000s!
@@gibstoper partly. It's also probably partly Nomura has written it since but they put stuff in the earlier games in the off chance that they'd be able to use them later. KH1, in particular, they didn't know they'd make a sequel or not and it was totally dependent on how well the game sold.
I do love that they're using stuff like that, though! If I ever write a book or make a game, I intend to seed it with stuff like that, even if I don't have the total future stories in my head, so it will give me anchors to use to make connections to later if I want.
SubduedRadical you are so right, if I ever make a story or game it good idea to leave a seed even if you don't know where it may led later.
The fact that such a strange and random machine in the world terminus could have such massive lore implications so many games later.

Ventus is a literal walking talking Pandora's Box. "Darkness" escaped to flood the world only to leave behind a final light of Hope inside.

If Sora is becoming Darkness' avatar, then Rage Form is more powerful than we thought.
If darkness has truly spread to Sora, the implications are far greater. Consider first all the hearts connected to Sora and then the fact that he changed the timeline TWICE, connecting even more people to himself.
Almost every heart in KH has darkness in it outside of the 7 pure hearts if I remember correctly.
I like how Vanitas is protecting Ventus now by being the darkness inside his heart. Its like a big brother protecting his little bro.

At a point in the update, Darkness tells Maleficent that the "time traveling machine" for lack of a proper term, was originally meant for a different purpose. It was supposed to be a vessel for safe passage to alternate universes. Ultimately, the project was left unfinished and so Darkness suggested for Maleficent to use one of the pods to travel to the future instead. 7 pods... Did the M.o.M plan to take himself and his 6 apprentices to another world?

I personally imagine the ending to look like this:
They are all about to leave in these time traveling “arks”. Miriam goes first with Elrena. Skuld is about to go but then Darkness takes over Ven. They quickly send Skuld off before she can react and fighting ensues.
Ephemer, Brain, and player somehow release Darkness from Ven. They quickly throw Ven who is now in shock, and unconscious in the Ark and shoot him forward (this explains why they found him in his original state in BBS). Darkness is not done yet.
He tries to transfer to Player or Ephemer and final battle ensues. Brain and Player/Ephemer are able to keep Darkness at bay, but the data world is collapsing/splitting.
Ephemer sacrifices himself to keep darkness in the crashing data world, and Brain (and maybe the player) go into the fixed portion of the world where they live out their lives making descendants (Brain descending into Eraqus)
Ephemer however is trapped in the collapsed data world (the light he was in in KH3.) and darkness somehow escaped him (dark inferno being part of him maybe.).
This scenario also explains the age difference between Prisoner X (Skuld), Marluxia and Larxene, and Ventus, because they all time jumped at different times.
That would be cool right?
Edit: Idk what could happen to Player. But in my head, he either becomes a vessel for Darkness and uses an ark to escape, or goes with Brain and makes descendants (maybe sora?)
Darkness and Ven aren't connected yet. Didn't you pay attention?

This might be me reading too much into this but what if Ava by changing the course of history ended up breaking a Nature Tabbo just like Sora did? And this is why she is absent from the foretellers reunion cause she "vanished from this world" by doing it?
She would need the power of waking. Which is possible

mr B I think he has paid the ultimate price. I think it happens when he pushes Xehanort towards darkness. Recognizing that he is a possible person to see his plan through. With altering the future to his own will he is sent to the Final World, where he finds himself in Tokyo. His plan to come back is through the power of the Foretellers and the black box. I think the black box/No Name could act as an intermediary and the Foretellers as ones that remember him. I think the black box may even contain the Verum Rex universe.
If "darkness" took control of the dark chirithy as the first vessel, could it be possible that for some time "darkness" looked like the player character? After all, the dark chirithy was bonded to the player character and Vanitas seemes to know exactly why he looked like he did in KH3. Strelitzia chirithy thought it saw our character, but the player character left the building and area. Just food for thought I guess.
Since im confused may I ask you for help in understanding this?
So is Ven the imposter or was he like streletzia and chosen in an attempt to alter the future? Because im not sure if Ven is the imposter or not.
@@tenebrisventus6435 Ven is the imposter, but he does not know it. Strelitzia was killed by either vanitas or Ava, or maybe an entirely different person.

@@zankies8735 ...or maybe the player character. If Darkness could inhabit Ven and temporarily take over to make his body do things and him not remember it, what if that was true of the player as well? Kind of like Negredo/Gignun in Xenosaga 3 being taken over by his "father" spirit.
Something else I realized from starting a New Game Plus is that when Maleficent and Pete look for the Black Box and find Pandora's Box instead Pete mentions how someone in darkness must have been pulling her leg. But now with The Union Cross story showing how Darkness guided Maleficent to the ark to send her back it is clear this line is in reference to the mobile game, and not some Organization member as I thought before.
They also refer to the person being a male, that's why I accidentally keep referring to darkness as him during this video hahaha
One thing I have always wonder about the kingdom hearts lore is how they haven't dove into Soras darkness...anti sora kh2 rage form kh3
Three forms, actually.
Anti-Form: No control.
Rage Form: Some control, demonstrated by use of his keyblade.
Dark Form(Oblivion): Complete control.
Lawrence Gist Anti-Form Aqua has control of a Keyblade tho, Mickey's and not her's but still

@@slateoffate9812 You forgot KH1 Shadow Heartless form, which was Sora's FIRST time to embrace/be consumed by Darkness.
Given he was carrying around so many hearts at the time (Ven's and Kairi's and possibly Darkness's), it's kind of crazy to think about. It's also why he spawned something like three Nobodies - Roxas, Xion, Namine (sorta) - as well. Interesting thing is, there was/has been no real SORA Nobody. Sora's heart became the Shadow Heartless you play as for that part of the story, but his Roxas was a Nobody formed from Ven's heart's imprint on Sora, and Xion and Namine from Kairi's. As Kairi - and possibly Ven - had no Darkness in their hearts, they did not create Heartlesses (and Kairi's heart went back to her body anyway), but Sora did.
Anti-Form, Rage Form, and Dark Form(Oblivion) I've come to see as evolutions of this same base thing where Sora's heart channels darkness, but with increasing levels of control. As a Shadow Heartless, he had no memory, and it's stated in KH1 he had no awareness of his actions (but you, the player do...what if "Darkness" is actually the Player? Would explain why you have knowledge of the cutscenes in KHUx with Darkness and Malificient...), and only sees Kairi's light, which guides him back AND restores his body (because magical Princess of Light magic). Anti-Form is what happens when Sora opens his heart to merge with one of his Friends, but too much darkness seeps in, corrupting the transformation (and since it sucks in both friend/party members' hearts for the duration, they don't know what's going on, and this is why they never talk about it or ask you about it or feel worried about it - as far as they're concerned, they were just part of Master Form or something for the duration....)
This is also why Final Form in KH2, which is Ven/Roxas' hearts (because Roxas kinda sorta has one now) are playing defense and preventing the darkness from seeping in when Sora opens his heart for his companions to merge with him. It's why (in game mechanics) going into Final Form NEVER takes you into Anti-Form, and it always does -10 from the "chance to enter Anti-Form" counter in the game's code. Because it's Ven/Roxas protecting Sora's heart and shielding it.
It is interesting to note that Rage Form is basically like Ichigo's "Hollow Ichigo" form in Bleach (which, as it turns out, is actually his true Zanpakuto...sort of...), in that it springs out whenever he's in critical danger to ensure he doesn't die, though as you point out, giving him far more control than his past incarnations of darkness did.
I'm not sure about Dark Form yet myself. Oathkeeper and Oblivion have always had kind of a special place, and it's surely no coincidence that they're the forms of Roxas' Keyblades....
I do wonder. If Sora is carrying around Darkness this whole time. Is that what gives him strength. I remember seeing an in depth theory in a kingdom hearts theory video that did a good job explaining it.
I think went how their was Darkness that became self aware and distinguished what was and was not itself. Then Light was born. Darkness job was to hold and protect The Light. And the Lights job was to guide the Darkness. Kingdom Hearts was the result of their union. They both inhabit Kingdom Hearts as they can not exist without the other. People came into existence from Kingdom Hearts and they themselves had hearts. But from the Union of Light and Dark came choice which allowed evil to spread into the people who wanted to horde light for themselves. Darkness grew in peoples hearts that ran amok without the power of Kingdom Hearts to connect it to the light. Darkness had multiple forms that didn't acknowledge itself as such and fought. This caused the war for Kingdom Hearts and shattered it into the Pieces we know today. Now Darkness is seeking the Union of Light and wishes to destroy the realm of Light so they may be together again.
I think it was getting at that M.O.M. is a Primordial Darkness, the kind that comes from lack of light rather than from resentment or hatred. And that He is seeking the light to return to him. Its that He is the personification of Darkness. And I think it was that Sora is a personification of Kingdom Hearts or rather the Champion that connected to it. Think back to the voiceless words you hear in KH 1 "The closer you get to the light, the greater your shadow becomes" I think that the Voiceless Entity was Kingdom Hearts talking to Sora and telling him what to do.
And Sora has the ability to connect his heart to others. He then uses that connection that would against those that would abuse the light. That's what he means when he says "My Friends are my Power" because he literately connected to their hearts though the bonds he made and connected with Kingdom Hearts Power.
It is willing Itself a Champion to protect it.

Nomura truly is a madman....i honestly feel like he literally has a secret vault somewhere with all the plans of the Kingdom Hearts series, which he made before Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories.

REALLY GOOD VIDEO. i was also thinking if the imposter was ven that perhaps vanitas, as darkness, was the culprit for strelitzia's murder without ven being aware he was being used. afterall, a peculiar detail about ven from the past is that he wields a reverse (darkness) keyblade and if his heart was "full of light" I find it odd the Missing Ache would be his keyblade of choice. the name can be read as kinda foreshadowing his future severance with a part of himself, or at least what he considers a part of him since vanitas doesnt agree theyre the same.
I didnt think about our dark chirithy being severed from us as potentially having a connection to darkness and in turn vanitas. that part was the most fascinating since it all makes a lot of sense ESPECIALLY when you point out how it maybe connects sora's access to his anti/darkness forms are probably not a coincidence. on the topic of remind, tbh I wanna know what the wayfinder trio will find in the dark realm as they look for sora. its a place that uses your memories and fears against you, and im super curious to know if any khux events pop up for ventus down there that he will need to remember clearly in order to work through.
....That is SUCH a good point! (They were all good points, but I mean the part about Ven possibly seeing things in the dark realm related to his past/Vanitas/darkness). Now you've got me wanting to know when we'll get to figure that out...

Your theories make so much sense, especially if Ven and Sora have been harboring Darkness throughout the entirety of Kingdom Hearts. Man, this changes a lot of perceptions I had on the concept of light and darkness in the Kingdom Hearts universe.

Ok, all my facial muscles hurt from the near stroke I got from watching the machine from KH1.

Now this is my added theory, but at the end of KH3 + DLC, we see that a chirithy in the world of sea and sky was waiting for "his friend to come back for him." Sora tells that Chirithy to come with him and Kairi, and that they'll take him to his friend. In the last cutscenes, we see Ventus and a Chirithy notice and embrace each other. What was it doing in the "after life world?" What if this chirithy was the darkness that was dispelled after Vanitas's death? Waiting to go back to his original vessel, of course. Basically, Sora might have just guided the old world's Darkness back to Ventus, back to it's perfect "pure and careless" vessel.
What's interesting is that that a new cutscene shows Riku at the Land of Departure, giving a sendoff to Terra, Aqua, and Ventus as they set off to a new mission in the Dark Realm. I think that mission is to restore the fallen Disney worlds from KH: BBS. But since it is the Realm of Darkness, essentially the birthplace of all that is negative and dark, what kind of influence will it take on Ventus with his reacquired Chirithy? His reacquired Darkness? We may be seeing a scenario where Terra and Aqua may need to be saved from Ventus, and in return, need to destroy that "Darkness."
Bro this is crazy. That callback to KH1 really makes me question if Nomura had some of this stuff planned or if he's just connecting the dots in whatever way he can.
Either way, as soon as KH:UX ends, a new KH game is gonna go into development. Nomura teased it in an interview that it wouldn't be KH4 but another game.
"On top of that, we also have two new teams working on different projects separate from Re Mind and Union χ[Cross], and one of those games is coming out earlier than you would think. The title screen for Re Mind lays some of the groundwork for it."

Darkness saying that it and Maleficient are old friends makes me think that it is Riku since they do have history together and he has a strong connection to and knowledge of darkness and might also be willing to go to extreme measures to save certain people's lives.
Ideally i was under the impression/theory the reason sora has anti form/Rage form. Is because after KH1 hes a body harboring hearts, not because his “real” heart returned. The by product of kairis help allowed him to keep his “form” in the meantime
If I recall, Drive Forms are meant to work by channeling memories to gain powers associated with those memories. Examining the cloth in Yen Sid's tower implies as such, as each one is associated with a memory and a Drive Form. The one associated with Anti Form recalls the Memory of Sora turning into a Heartless. Rage Form howerver doesn't have an explanation.
@@Evnyofdeath Yeah i forgot where i exact got the theory related from. But theres a lot deeper meanings of why sora is able to harness darkness in KH2/KH3 in relation, and why the "true light" with xehanort awakens that. Its like nomura is trying to keep why sora can access these right under our noses until he slams us with the end of KHUX-and soras relation. Because even with Anti-Form, its often a "negative" form in relation to using the other drives. Just a lot of interesting stuff.

I wonder what the impact on the MoM, Xigbar, and the foretellers are for “darkness” to be the ultimate antagonist here - does that mean they’re heroes? My guess is no - perhaps the MoM did know all of this would happen after all, with the book being written the way it is to end up being aligned with the “changes” attempted by Ava (ie - he wrote a fake book so Ava would be changing it to what he actually wanted)
Is the timing of everything with their return to have MoM’s army all return in the present to fight darkness again? - just as he becomes unshackled from Vanitas and Ven? I just can’t see MOM as being totally a hero. Something like what YX said to him in remind about how cynical he has become with everyone actually being subject to darkness, leads me to believe the MoM will seek to destroy the worlds with light to defeat darkness. That would actually be a nice change up from what the series has done. Reminds me how I liked the original organization as not being light or darkness but “nothing” until they started changing them to darkness based enemies anyway - it’s a new attribute that’s outside the series normal light vs dark premise

So I haven't played union cross and only know some from the 2.8 remix video.... But watching this one made me excited to truly dive into what this story has. I didn't realize how much story there is! Thank you, it's really easy to follow what they're writing in the KH story with your help
From around 10:30, I personally always believed that Ava was subject X because of Xigbar chuckling, while saying she was elsewhere. Perhaps he knew her to be subject X, and since he seems to see all, he alone knows where the woman Isa searched for so desperately is. It’s the only reason I can think of that Ava wouldn’t be with the other 5 foretellers at the end of KH3

Not in this time. During KHUX Ven still has vanitus inside him. You could argue the darkness in him is stronger than the light during this time since when they first get separated vanitus is so much stronger to the point ven (the light) goes comatose and can't even function yet vanitus (the darkness) is perfectly fine
And they will, Ventus did nothing wrong, he is innocent, and Lauriam's gonna forgive him for sure. Ventus was too pure he was manipulated by an ancient evil, if there's someone to blame it was Darkness for forcing him, even without him knowing, into do that horrible act in the past. Darkness was the evil who should be away from our precious boy.
@@Godyy This would make sense as Vanitas laughed to Ventus's claim they were 'the same'. Meaning Vanitas is much older than Ventus and they aren't the same.

What if the dark Chirithy is Darkness' Chirithy, and if Darkness is just the literal embodiment of darkness and by extension would be inside everyone's hearts, that would connect the Chirithy to everyone's hearts too and could be the meaning behind being 'our' Chirithy, because he's the Chirithy of the darkness in every heart. This would also explain why he went about collecting darkness from and turning to the darkness multiple wielders and not particularly us.

Question: If what dark chirithy said is true, and he was our player's chirithy, then whose chirithy is it that's following us around for the most part of the game..?
Yi Da Tan maybe Vens Charity? I think he chirithy we met in kh3 is the same one that follows us around and the ending in kh3 Chriithy really wanted to see ven but was shy for some reason
I think we simply got another Chirithy created for us, if it's true. But that would mean there was an event that made it necessary to keep our 1st Chirithy from us, so what happened?
And why were we made to forget it?
Some thoughts:
Ephemur shows up in the ending of KH3’s Keyblade Graveyard but more as a spirit than anything else. I believe he probably is dead or a sleeping heart at this point.
Luxord is most likely from Yozora’s world as it appears he is the driver in the ending of Limit Cut.
The dream eater we meet in the land of sky and sea is supposedly Ventus’ dream eater which would mean its most likely the dark dream eater from KHUX.
one more thing in remind, the time sora enters vens heart he has to fight dark inferno who could be ephem's heartsless, i think skuld and ephem were both lab rats for ansem but he turned into a heartless and nobody but not skuld
This story is too confusing, and I don’t understand it. But I want to say what I think about something: I don’t think the Master of Masters is evil. Sure he may be the cause of all this, but I feel like he’s either some sort of necessary evil, he for some reason had to start the war and everything after it, or since he saw the future, he’s making sure everything goes the way he saw it, otherwise something bad will happen.
In KH3, the secret reports imply a greater darkness conquering the worlds and the current world-line is the only one that survives
So MoM is trying to reach a timeline in which darkness does not prevail?
Eight Kills One Move Sword-Master Maybe that or trying to CREATE a timeline where darkness doesn’t prevail. I like to think of him a bit like Doctor Strange (Marvel) and how he saw many outcomes in the battle against Thanos, and there was only one where they win. Again, this is just based off what I know, which is very little. I’ve never actually PLAYED any kingdom hearts games unless you count the demo for Dream Drop Distance.
Its possible the Master of Masters pulling a avengers endagme Dr. Strange move and Is trying to lure out darkness and the conditions to kill him since he knows the future

I knew it! Venturs had so much darkness in him, enough to create vanita while Sora only had enough for a heartless. I have a feeling the MoM used one, hence why he faded.
I feel khUX leads to atleast 2 or 3 more sagas. The xehanort seeker of darkness saga, The lost masters saga, the ventus herald of darkness saga and the last keyblade war. Also "send other people through" . Bish now im curious. This is giving me bleach vibes, Hueco mundo anyone?

Now Im just curious about the dynamic between Sora and Yozora, despite Yozora only briefly appears.
in japanese version, while Sora and Yozora are written using katakana (ソラ and ヨゾラ), their names can be written as 空 and 夜空, meaning Sky and Night Sky. Coupled that with KH1 quote at the end of Yozora fight, I got a feeling that we would be using Yozora for KH4 instead of Sora
I have a feeling that the character from Union X is actually meant to be Ventus in a bit more of a shrouded story meant to throw of the truth. The darkness was always sealed inside us, when she came looking for us, we were there but not the one in control. When Ventus went to meet the other Union leaders, the control over our own bodies was switching between the two. Even when everyone started heading to the future after Maleficent, the two people that was next to Ventus ended up being both thrown off track and in terrible condition. Elrena and Lauriam will be fine along with one other person. Scald will have damaged memories and be sent to Radiant Garden, just as Ventus was sent to Destiny Islands, but Ephemer was sent to the Keyblade graveyard and likely a dangerous one or he didn't make it in one piece.

I brushed off khux as some stupid mobile game that wasnt important to the story until I found your channel, and I would have never known how great and dark khux was if it wasnt for you. 3:16 "here and now". When is now? Do dark portals only allow travel within the same time? Is the portal in the KH1 era or still in the Age of Fairytales?

Just a slight criticism, I feel the music is a tad too loud, it overpowers you a bit
My theory is, Sora harbors the ultimate light. No one ever seems to mention about the station of awaking. Whose always talking to him? The ultimate light. Why was he able to house Ventus and Vanitas looks just like him? Vanitas said it himself. Sora was also part of Ven. Two sides of the same coin. His nobody, able to control the lesser nobodies. Vanitas, the darkness that brings forth the unversed. Sora was a child when he let Ventus in his heart. 10 I believe? The experiments went on for 10 years. Sora was a piece of Ven that the light spared when his heart was shattered, given the form of an "ordinary " boy to the nearest place, Destiny Islands.
The hearts Sora was only able to take in were ones "connected" with him. Kairi is an exception to the rule, but is a princess of heart. A person connected directly to The Light. Even at the end, Riku can now be connected to Sora because he was in Sora's dreams in DDD, and probably connected with The Light as well. Why they are having dreams of him now in the secret episode, plus one more person we haven't seen yet( most likely Roxas, since he is part of Sora).
Also, Kingdom Hearts itself probably has/had a heart, which is probably The Darkness and The Light present in the story. It seems too controllable and all depends on what side the weilder of the X-blade leans too. Without it's heart, it is this way. Easily falling to darkness or light. Whatever is inside the box is the reason KH lost it's heart.

I really want to see Ventus win a battle with the being that will become Vanitas. I think that it will be likely too. After all Ventus when he was under the care of Xehanort seemed to have a very good hold on how to keep darkness trapped within him not hurting anyone. Also did Sora give Vanitas a form that he can't change out of? Everyone says that they kind of think that Darkness is able to change how he looks but we have never seen Vanitas look or sound different then a dark colored copy of Sora. The other thing that I am kind of curious about is did Stralitzia hear the bell toll? I keep looking though her story trying to find when she heard it.
As for who I think will take the arks?
Ventus, Elrena, Lauriam, Skud, Ava, Player
Who do I think will stay in the past but find some other way out of the data worlds?

Oh boy I just put all the female characters going into the future. Though there are other females in the dandelions and we know that they had a civilization of wielders to build up Scala. I am sure it will be fine. After all it's a kids game. I am not factoring in Luxord or Demyx until I know for sure that they are in the data worlds. After all their tie to the keyblades could just be that they are survivors of whatever happened to Scala. Or they could be part of the third worldline. Oh is that why people think that they are part of the age of fairytales? We have three worldlines. The one that we have always been in, they one that the union cross people where in, and Yozora's one. However most people think that there are only two. The one that we are in where the keyblade war happened in the age of fairytales then The people that didn't go into the ark to follow Maleficent came together and rebuilt the old world so the people that where being sent into the future would have a relatively safe place to land. Some people however stayed in the worldline where the keyblade war never happened the union cross worldline. Wielders have been able to pass to and fro form these two worldlines not easily but it has happened. So when Demyx and Luxord travel in such a way it is only natural that Xehanort and indeed any wielder to believe that they are part of the dandelions because that is the only other worldlines that they know about.

I doubt it, the Ventus sora hosted was pure light, as it was after xenahort divided light and darkness from him.
Probably, the Ventus we see know it's way before he was split in two. So now he is both light and darkness.

I feel like Ventus would the second to last one to use the pod which will leave one pod left for either the player character or Ephemera to use.
And he wouldn't go in the pod by his own will.
I feel his state in Birth By Sleep might be hinting at Ventus and the Darkness had an intense fight when Darkness reveals he used Ventus to kill Sterlizia where Ventus gets upset and lashes out but results in Darkness taking over Ventus' body then proceed to go into the pod.
In Birth by Sleep, Ventus is void of any emotion at all until Xehanort used his Keyblade to separate the two so if what Vantias said about him being in Ventus' body since Union Cross is true.
Then that could mean a scary possibility that Vanitas could have full control of Ventus' body if Xehanort hadn't separated them and left him in the precious state.
There is still a contradiction - Streltzia was killed BEFORE the bell rang. And the bell rang as Skuld and Player were in the warehouse.
Yes, that means that she means she was in the warehouse WITH Player and Skuld.
But that can't be, right? How come these two events happened at the same time?

I wonder if the story might shift focus to Ventus now in regards to Darkness. First off we have to know how Darkness inhabited his body, and we also have to know what happened to it after it forced Sora out of Ven's heart. Did it leave along with Sora? Or is it planning to stay inside of Ven, gathering more darkness to eventually break out. I also wonder if this too is part of Master of Master's insane plan, and if so, what does he plan to do with Darkness in the future
