In Christianity, a typical depiction of the "Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven" (at least in Roman Catholic) is two identical keys crossing each other in the shape of an X. The Kye-Blade is depicted as two Kingdom Key Keyblades crossed together as the hilt of the weapon that is the key to Kingdom Hearts. A key to a heavenly realm. Although, the one in Kingdom Hearts is very literal.

@@FlutterSwag Of course, Sora is a Jesus parallel what with him sacrificing himself to save the world from all the Darkness trying to corrupt the entire KH universe.
When I watch some of these theory vidoes and they start to bring up seemingly random imagery from levels. I often think that they might be grasping at straws or really just pushing for meaning that isn't really there. Then I have cold reality set back in and remember that for one of the games, a very important plot point was a freaking X on Sora's shirt. Good video, very informative, and I think you're on to something here.
The heart and soul are different things in KH. A nobodies is the leftover body and soul after a heartless is created. A body without a soul is simply a corpse. Xemnas told Xion that they needed Lea's heart rather than his soul. The KH2 Ansem Reports state that humans are composed of a heart, body, and soul.
Great video! One key point: a Nobody is actually the left-behind body and the soul. The soul retains the memories that are left over from the heart after it has been corrupted into darkness. It is because of the soul that the body still has vitality, a mind, and reason. This is also why Nobodies can even move around. (Yes, the heart generates the Nobody, but it is the soul that allows them to function.) In contrast, a Heartless no longer possesses a soul, which is why it is usually a purely instinctual creature without reason. The heart provides emotions, the ability to connect to others, and the formation of bonds. It also gives true existence-preventing something from simply fading into nothingness over time. This is explained in the secret reports in KH1 Final Mix and also when Master Yen Sid first explains what a Nobody is to Sora in KH2. It's further elaborated in the secret reports in KH2. Additionally, Xemnas and Vexen (I believe) discuss how the soul gives the body (and Nobodies) vitality in 358/2 Days. This idea is also why Xemnas tells Xion in KH3 that he needs Axel’s heart but not his soul. This is also why Asem SoD and Sora are considered such a big deal by the organization in Kingdom hearts chain of memories, 358/2, KH2. They are the only two beings, in recorded history, that retained an intellect & sense of self, as living hearts, despite not having their souls.
I just replayed through KH1, 2 and BBS again and it all checks out to me. KH1 holds up really well to this day and has a lot of this. Nomura really does do his research and plans things out. I will admit i was wrong about that, i thought he made it up as he went.

Just replayed 3 of the games and with them fresh in my mind, this holds up surprisingly well, including that thread you shown at the end. In KH1 Sora Donald and Goofy say "all for one, one for all" which is similar to the macrocosm microcosm of the universe. Or how King Triton says Sora and his keyblade will bring ruin foreshadowing the future of the series. Sora is gonna fall isnt he? Wonder what we will see in KH4. lot of this fits in with Dark Road too. Especially when it comes to the Player in Union and Young Xehanort in Dark Road. Aether makes sense given how Kingdom Hearts is basically a sister series to Kingdom Hearts, as you said 1 half to a greater whole, if you ever played FF14? which i have, this sounds pretty much what Urianger says in shadow bringers. Its alchemy too, all the elements including light and darkness. FF14 feels a lot like Kingdom Hearts honestly and now i know why, it just clicked as im typing this out. Thanks!
The more i learn about the Toy story world, the mroe I love that world omg I just Love THAT MALL anyways this has been an extremely wonderful video. love to see it!!!
Hearts and souls aren't the same thing in KH. The heart's memories simply dictates identity for a body. The soul is the literal spark of life that drives the object of the body, and this is noted in game. They are seperate elements. Should note I recently discovered humanoid heartless do actually have hearts by default: empty ones. This is the result of using a keyblade that can unlock hearts (like no name or "Of Hearts.") Go back and look: what emerges in all cases is a ball of light, not their heart crystal. That is the essence of their combined memory being released, not the heart itself, which is the container. Keys unlock things, not remove them. This is the difference between humanoid nobodies and dusk-nobodies, being the cicumstances of their death, and the presence of an emptied heart (an element important for Xehanort to use them as a vessel for his own heart. Elsewise, any dusk shoulda worked.) Should also note while people are the microcosm of worlds, the macrocosm isn't the universe, its kingdom hearts (the moon entity and cosmic unity of all hearts) and its related X-Blade. The "space" you see is the darkness left behind after the original world collapsed, and the "lights in childrens hearts" reformed a number of them from the dark and their memories. Currently the worlds in the present state of things are being maintained by the seven hearts of pure light, which act as pillars for that reality. All things are built on memories, the universe itself is not "material" as we know material reality. Also sora did not let "dark overtake him" in the Xehanort fight... Xehanort drained Sora of his light. Ever since opening his heart in KH1 to free kairi, he's been "dead." Kairi used the unique properties of her "heart of pure light" and ties to Sora to use his heartless to rebuild him back into the Sora she remembered. This essentially means he's been a being of darkness this entire time, that was reconstructed by light, so his rage form as actually closer to his true being than anything. Fwiw, this is confirmed in the ansem reports. KH uses a light and dark system close to ffxiv's astral and umbral aethers. Light gives order and division and stillness, dark brings chaos, unity, and activity. Light is used to sort dark out into useful material for the universe, as a force of creation. That's why its midpoint, twilight, is just raw physical material and objectivity. Also confirmed in Union Cross, by Ventus.
If they DO add Star Wars to KH4, and has gorm changes, a good one for that world would be "Father & Son" where Sora holds both Luke and Vader's/Anakin's lightsabers in some sort of clothing that looks Star Wars-ish
My dumb theory is like - kingdom hearts is “just a game” to illustrate things that happened in the reality Sora was in. Like the book of prophecy. And in the black box is kingdom hearts 4 which just recaps our universe and darkness is about to exist when Sora gets here - but as a video game
Like if MoM was here he could have been a game developer making a video game to send back in the box. It’s entirely possible Tetsuya Nomura is the MoM - but that’s just a theory
That makes a lot of sense so let me get this straight, its like the whole as above so below, and also fits in with Dream Drop Distance's 3 Musketeers level, all for one, one for all. Sounds like some of the other Final Fantasy games besides 7 too, like 4,1 and 5. It talks about Alchemy too. I would definitely like more in depth videos talking about singular topics of these on the franchise. Like other alchemy connections in the games like a rapid fire video or a each video is dedicated to 1 game about each thing. I want more of this is what im saying. Highly intrigued.

This HAS to be the biggest lore drop theory video ever made! Amazingly well done my man! But i’m curious, think you can make a theory video of what sort of enemies will appear in KH4? We already know about the Heartless with the Darkside but for some reason, Darkside in Quadratom not only looks diffrent, he appeared diffrently as well is literly 10 times bigger then a reguler Darkside! Meaning the laws of Unreality must had effected the Heartless and their darkness. Same thing if would be nice to bring back the Unversed and insted from a being, maybe a machine or something else to give Unversed new forms since they are monsters made out of Negative energy and emotions. And lastky of course, a new enemy race, and it was teased in the Verum Rex game box which mantiont somethimg about ”Karma” and how the Karma could be linked to the Gigas and why they are the enemies in Yozora’s world, meaning Gigas and Karma enemy race that are enemy race in Unreality and they are a threat and had something to do with Yozora and the Nameless Star girl in The Final World.

its philosophy, Elden Ring does the same thing. Elden Ring is heavily based on alchemy.
