Never did I ever think about making homemade buns. They look amazing. I just bought flour and yeast to make pretzels. I'll have to try this.
One option I've used for browning bread is a 1:1 ratio of soymilk (or oatmilk!) to maple syrup brushed on top! Adds a nice little hit of sweetness too if you like that sort of thing. :)
I'm wondering what other cooking and baking cookbooks and videos I need. You make everything I would ever need. Now all you need is a cookie recipe.

The best "egg wash" I've ever seen for browning is super diluted maple syrup in water. It gives AMAZING browning and, due to the diluting, doesn't taste that much of maple or sweetness.

Good afternoon, Fellow Ketchup on Hotdog person! I also put mustard and relish on with the ketchup lol.
Or if I'm feeling like something different or have a fancier 'dog' like a bratwurst, sometimes I like to use Ortega Taco sauce instead. It's a good flavor combo.

Omg these look amazing and look like brioche rolls, which are my favorite. I can make amazing vegan meals, but I suck at baking (especially bread)! I can't seem to get the temperature right with proofing so the whole batch would be destroyed after spending like 18 ridiculous hours to get it to rise multiple times. However, this recipe looks pretty easy and I will try once again to make bread lol.

agh I NEED a stand mixer, most of the reason I stopped baking bread was I got annoyed about the kneading

I like Field Roast Stadium Dogs. I have a hot dog taste test from last year.
@@TheeBurgerDude Apparently they aren't available in my area anymore. I use to get them at Sprouts, they aren't at Whole Foods either. So I have 2 choices Lightlife Smart Dogs or Field Roast Classic Smoked Frankfurters

Also when your forming the dough just fold it in on its self and give it a pinch to make the burger buns. You shouldnt have to roll them, unless you want too. Cooking is best when you do what you want.

I bake alot, if your just starting do it by hand. That dough was too tough, i could tell when he dropped it in the bowl. It makes ok bread but it could of had more air in it if there were less flour. You cant tell if its too much with the machince. If he would if tried to knead that by hand it would of been hard to do i promise.
Yea those had to be slightly dense, they didn't move at all from the heat.
