We are ensured by our own experience that old second hand cars made in western countries are much better than new Russian car. Sorry for my bad English.
@@vardukaspavardukas4062 I visit my parents a few times a year. They live about 400km from my home and I use my Lada Niva to get there. I can´t complain about anything. It´s not a fast car, so I drive on the right lane behind some truck. I bought it new in 2014. It´s the best car I ever owned. It has now over 60000km and the only thing that broke so far was one wheel bearing. So far it´s pretty reliable and cheap to drive, because it runs on a propane/butane mixture

Great video! I've always had a soft spot for the Lada Niva - my brother used to have one when I was younger. My only problem with them was the front suspension...the control arms hang quite a bit lower than the rear axles (solid rear end), so if you're in deep muddy ruts, the front would slide along on the control arms with no real weight on the front tyres, while the rear had clearance and would still be pushing you along. Not a big problem...unless you need to get out of those ruts, which was sometimes impossible without aid from a shovel. And the lack of steering stops, so if you suddenly went to full lock - say, if you clipped a large rock and were going just a little too fast - it would immediately shatter the steering box. (Ask me how I know!) These are the few areas that the Suzuki Sierra (Suzuki Samurai in the US) had over it, as Suzuki used a solid axle for both front and rear, and had built-in steering stops. Both were surprisingly good in the rough stuff, and often embarrassed much larger 4X4s...Toyota Landcruiser, Jeep Wrangler, Nissan patrol, etc. :-)
Communist vehicles are great and are underestimated in many Western countries. They may not be super fast or stylish, but they do their work under all circumstances. Today, many of them still travel from the Soviet era. Quality and reliability. I'm proud on that and that is not something like the Chinese vehicles of today. There are some of em that ever reached States and beat the Jeep Wrangler in off-road races I think 4 times and the UAZ too. It nearly was sold in the US. But I never understood why it didn't make it. To can talk shit about these ugly Russian trucks all you want, you can call those vintage soviet cars "lame" but you'll never see American vehicles pulling off what you've seen these commie vehicles pull off... Tatras are the kings of truck trials! :D Ages ago I saw a video of an 813 in a s-shaped ditch, it just couldn't fit, so the drivers looked at each other, switched to lowest gear (out of 20) with all dif locks on, and dig a new ditch. The judge on the side was like: "hehe, hehe, hehe... WTF!?!"
I have to agree with someone below, you've missed one of the most popular and important commercial vechicles in USSR..if you needed a truck, you probably bought ZIL-130 or GAZ 53,it was the equivalent of van in those days..it was all shapes and sizes,4x2,6x4,short wheelbase-long one, flatbead, refrigerator, fire engine, bread truck and so on and on.. They were everywhere.. P.S. enjoying every video you make..

KrAZ-255 - a Soviet six-armed military truck with a capacity of 7.5 tons developed by KrAZ in the second half of the 1960s. These trucks were used in the Soviet Army. wikipedia
Já, jako zapřísáhlý podporovatel nové demokratické doby nemůžu než že budu vždy hájit řekněme stará vozidla TATRA, LIAZ, Praga V3S apod. Těmto vynikajícím vozidlům a jejich konstruktérům bych chtěl vyslovit obdiv.
The Lada Niva was a pretty solid design! You didn't mention the waterproof alternator and water-tight headlights - overall a pretty amazing little light truck, for a very low outlay.
00,43 look at that ultra underpowered PRAGA Truck making only 98hp from 7400cc...its got same power as my 1157cc motorcycle and its carrying tons of rocks!! Torque and driveshaft ratio miracle!!
My favourite Soviet Vehicle is the UAZ hunter. Nothing like driving around, pointing Kalashnikovs out the window and forgetting you don't live in Eastern Europe anymore. My grandpa drove one when he was a collnell in the Red army.
It make sense, tho. The countries that built those vehicles were (so-called) communists, the people that make and owned them were (possibly) communists, but the vehicles themselves don't have political thoughs. They just are. "My car is communist." Does it sing the Internationale on worker's day?
We'd say "communist vehicle" to mean "vehicle of the communist". "Communistic" is not a word we'd use. As @rust says, that's an adjective which would describe the vehicle itself as communist which as @LeSathois says is not possible - the vehicle doesn't care about politics.
In village close to where i live, they had V3S with welded suspension. This meant that suspension no longer works but the truck didnt get lower from weight. this made it harder for police to find out that truck is overloaded.
These old eastern block trucks are some of the toughest vehicles ever made. Love your videos Visio! I always learn a lot from them!

The Aro 24 series was produce too in Portugal and was called Portaro. If I'm not wrong they all had the 2.5d engine from Ford Transit.
Where are polish truck: Star, Jelcz. Small polish truck: Żuk, Nysa, Tarpan. Polish bus: Autosan, Jelcz. Truck from East Germany: Robur
No własnie has to zostawil
These videos are WAY better than the titles would suggest. My usual rule of thumb is no vid starting with a number is worth watching..
Урал 375, Урал 4320, Краз 255, Краз 260, Зил 131, Зил 130, Маз 543, Маз 537, Маз 500, Маз, 541, Татра 815+Камаз=Katasi, and biggest in the world Маз 7907, Маз 7904

Pozdrav z Čech
Ať se daří :-)
To can talk shit about these ugly Russian trucks all you want, you can call those vintage soviet cars "lame" but you'll never see American vehicles pulling off what you've seen these commie vehicles pull off... Oh wait, the HUMVEE? If I'm not mistaken, that's a military vehicle, while these are mostly civilian!I love these tough as fuck soviet cars, limos and trucks! Cool channel!
Actually Škoda and Tatra aren´t Russian at all. Those were made in Czechoslovakia and Tatra 815 is made to this day, in Czech Republic and also they have amazing offroad abilities :D
Tatras are the kings of truck trials! :D
Ages ago I saw a video of an 813 in a s-shaped ditch, it just couldn't fit, so the drivers looked at each other, switched to lowest gear (out of 20) with all dif locks on, and dig a new ditch. The judge on the side was like: "hehe, hehe, hehe... WTF!?!"
Aw, I was hoping to see those crazy Soviet screw drive vehicles somewhere, but what was there was very cool! Great work!
Great videos, greetings from Ukraine.
Comprei um Lada Niva , estáva parado , mas agora vou colocá-lo para rodar novamente, o estepe ainda é de fabricação Russa, Made in URSS, estou amando o 4x4. Um puro sangue valente.
Waiting for my Barka to be produced has given me lots of time to think about how I might be a better comrade.
If you like old russian offroad vehicles, search RUclips for ZIL-E-167
You will not be dissapointed
Jerrypintoswe Thanks

Shame you didn't mentioned Ural 4320.
The Visio Racer is only one who s have my subscription. For me is it one of best videos about cars. So good luck with next videos. I sending greating from Czech rep.
Where is Kraz 255 ?
J-Man Hodard; The 255 was manufactured at the KrAZ plant and that is North Korea. And they have a special kind of Communism....
KrAZ-255 - a Soviet six-armed military truck with a capacity of 7.5 tons developed by KrAZ in the second half of the 1960s. These trucks were used in the Soviet Army. wikipedia
I concur....I can only hope he is dedicating a whole video to it!
J-Man Hodard Where is ZIL131, URAL4320?
Where the fuck did you saw that it was produced in DPRK?
Very interesting! Greetings from Canada
My grandpa drove a GAZ-69 in the Hungarian navy
Bence Gunyhó wtf does Hungary need a navy for?
Small mining/sapper boats for river use.
He drove a truck in the navy???
@@ottelo7773 navy don't need a supplies, You think?
once again a top vid! you keep getting better all the time. I'm glad i subscribed your channel.
Já, jako zapřísáhlý podporovatel nové demokratické doby nemůžu než že budu vždy hájit řekněme stará vozidla TATRA, LIAZ, Praga V3S apod. Těmto vynikajícím vozidlům a jejich konstruktérům bych chtěl vyslovit obdiv.
I'm glad you mentioned ARO. The destiny of the company is quite sad, but it was one of the best off-road vehicles of the time. Statistics say it.
Thanks for putting the ARO,love your vids
Lada Niva is a car that is not hard to find in Brazil, it's cheap so most of it is used for weekend off roading.

Ты тупой, толстый американец. Разве вы не понимаете, что коммунистические машины - это когда-либо созданные!!?
trumpet horn should fit that on a bike!
:D
psychoburger 😂😂😂😂😂
The ARO was shortly produced in Brazil under the brand Cross Lander.
Love all this, how do we get parts in America ?
How do we even get these into America easily?
You don’t want to have this Czechoslovakian crap .
Canadian kid what you need im from slovakia ?..here is the lot of parts 😉
MDX Nation Thanks I'll keep it in mind about your reply post .....
Canadian kid murica have to fight kim jong un first
I love my Lada Niva. It´s not big, fuel efficient, silent, comfortable or fast, but at least it´s a Lada.
Where is star 66?
Nie znam się ale Star 66 to nie jest prawie to samo co Gaz 66?
Tak samo jak Czechy i Słowacja ... prawie to samo.
I've driven a ZIL-131, old Soviet offroad vehicles are fun and quirky.
Love smell of Avia :)
My favourite Soviet Vehicle is the UAZ hunter. Nothing like driving around, pointing Kalashnikovs out the window and forgetting you don't live in Eastern Europe anymore.
My grandpa drove one when he was a collnell in the Red army.
IFA W50 ?
Quick tip: you can start a fire under the motor in the v3s to help with a cold start in the winter ;-)
Where are polish utility vehicles like a Nysa, Jelcz, Star, Żuk or DDR vehicle named Robur? :)
2nd part with polish cars - Star trucks, Zuk, Nysa Vans and Tarpan for terrain vehicle.
Where is URAL?
love the ARO..my father had one at late 80s..my childhood memories
Never head the term "Communistic" before but apparently it's valid English. We'd normally say "Communist"
So many people complained when I used the term 'communist' instead before.
Really? Obviously not English people then! :D
Communist - а noun;
Communistic - an adjective.
