So this was it, the final episode of this series.
It really has been a long journey: Back in October 2016 I released the teaser for this upcomming series. 1 week later and the first episode was released. I have learned a lot when making this series, this afterall was aside from "The second Chance" my first mapping series that was fully animated, and that also shows. If you'd like, go back to the first episode and compare the animation to this one. You'll notice that a lot has changed.
I'm really thankfull that this series finally is over and I can start focusing on different Mapping series again.
To give you some information about what the future of my channel has to offer, here are the projects
that I will be actively working on very soon:
Continuing "The second Chance" (AFOE Season 3)
Alternate Future of the World in Countryballs
Standstill (A Mapping Collab together with Imperial Mapping)
As I already said at the end of this video, thanks for watching this series and I'll hope you'll stay for
what the future of this channel will bring to you.
Anyways as always, I hope you enjoyed the video I hope you have a fantastic day and goodbye!

+Baltorusite Mapping Well the reason it took so long was a combination of a series of really unlucky circumstances and the video itselve being probably the most time consuming video I have ever made. I'm glad that you are back though!

I really loved this series. You put a lot of work and effort into this. This would be a good movie for a theater that'd I put money into for it. I liked how the characters evolved throughout the episodes. The Eastern Roman Empire and the Sasanian Empire used to be sworn enemies and always hated each other but they evolved and took on dark times together and became great allies. Also love how Syagrius changed from becoming the emperor to restore the old Roman Empire but evolved to become a god!
The question still remains in my head. What happened to them Vandals.

Well, I can only give this series an 4/10, since there is basically no plot or whatsoever. Filming a dead body isn't okay and of course there would be a corpse in the Japanese Suicide Forest. Also, where the fuck is Algeria? Or Italy? You forgot so many nations and invented so many stupid ones like "Sassanids" and "Rome". Where is Germany? The UK? Even Denmark and Poland are missing. Also, please upload Part 1 of your Minecraft Let's Play, please.
    Good finale

Great ending, though it seems and went without action/saying that the Empire of Odin (of I'm not wrong) was driven out of Scandinavia and now in Greenland and Iceland, and there's a new tribe/faction in northern Russia, potential for a future series if you ever will continue, and certainly a timely reminder they can be the future threats, and there will always be such.

Awwww, that was a good ending, but not the one I was hoping for. What i hoped for is that the coptic christians would reveal the ark of the covenent in the darkest hour, giving the eastern romans sothing to counter that lump of pagen heresy, DEUS VULT

With this riding into the glorious sunset, who's to say that the Vikings from earlier in the season want some good old vengance, and surely those Karelian tribes might be able to expand a bit going into season 2 if it was properly announced, and whose to say we can cover more ground as the map going on to become a map of historic Eurasia

    • @TheRatofMapping
      @TheRatofMapping  7 лет назад +28

The name Byzantine Empire never really existed in history, it was created by historians to distinguish it from the Roman Empire as they were very different from each other.

To be clear, are there any germans or slavs in the Easter Roman Empire, some other unaffected state or in the lands distant enough from Aeternum Imperium Romanum that are still alive or did Sygarius' genocide ability affect the entire world? Also, is Frankish a thing in this timeline or did it never develop as a language? Has the Latin dialects diversified yet like in our timeline too? I am just curious although I know that the last two questions are complicating. By the way, did the leader of the Yaroslavian Khanate die in the Tartaros or is he still around somewhere. Was Zeus part of a very technologically advanced race of aliens?

Continued Events of AHOE: Rome's Legacy:
(Note: This does not mention the death of emperors or other national figures unless they have a lasting impact)
605 AD: The Sassanids, rested from their clashes with Syragius, begin their Indian conquests.
610 AD: Due to their never having been the lack of a Western Roman Empire, the Dark Ages never begin and End of reaches a technological level seen to us only in 850 AD.
625 AD: Sassanid armies return home after 20 years of conquest and peacekeeping, meaning Indian goods can enter into European markets with minimal tariffs, leading economic growth to further grow.
640 AD: Phoenician and Constantinian colonies are established in the Bahamas and New Jersey respectively, meaning New World products are now available in European markets. Economic growth continues to hasten.
650 AD: Technology at this point is equivalent to that seen by us in 1000 AD.
675 AD: The Sassanids begin their conquest of Central Asia as the Constantinians begin entering into Russia. Meanwhile, the Ghassanids begin to expand into Ethiopia, Djibouti, and Somalia.
695 AD: Technology has reached 1150 AD levels.
700 AD: Constantine North America has expanded to most of New England, while Phoenician North America encompasses most of the Carribean and surrounding coast.
710 AD: The Sassanids begin a series of wars against Tang China.
725 AD: Constantine forces now occupy most of Russia.
730 AD: The Ghassanids expand throughout most of East Africa, establishing an empire of their own.
740 AD: Technology has reached that seen by us in 1225 AD.
750 AD: Constantine North America stretches from Newfoundland to Iowa, while Phoenician North America stretches from southern Georgia to Venezuela.
770: The Ghassanid Empire now stretches from Arabia to Mozambique and the DRC.
800: Constantine VI dies. His son (this is alternate history, it can be whatever), Justinian III, becomes emperor. Reflecting upon the old Roman Republic, he establishes a new elected Senate to make some decisions. Gradually, each region of the Empire recieves its own elected government, much like the system in place in our United States.
815: The Chinese Wars end with the Sassanids establishing a puppet state and annexing the western half of the state.
820: Constantine France joins the Constantine Empire.
835: The Sassanid Empire expands into Mongolia and Southeast Asia, while Sassanid China wages war against Korea and Japan.
850: Constantine Netherlands joins the Constantine Empire.
860: Sassanid China enters Nara, forcing a Japanese surrender. Sassanid East Asia is formed. Meanwhile, the Sassanids themselves have conquered the Malay Peninsula.
875: The Ghassanids have conquered almost all of Africa.
885: Technology has reached a level seen by us in 1450 AD.
900: The Sassanid Empire stretches from Persia and Kazahkstan to Australia. The Constantine Empire stretches from Spain and Ireland to Russia. Phoenician North America stretches from Georgia and Oklahoma to Ecuador and central Brazil. Phoenician North America has taken most of the United States and Canada.
910: Constantine Germany, Poland, and Ruthenia all join the Constantine Empire.
925: Phoenicia joins the Constantine Empire as an autonomous region.
935: Technology reaches levels like those seen in 1550 AD.
950: The Sassanids annex their East Asian puppet.
960: The Ghassanid and Sassanid royal families marry, fusing their empires into the Afro-Asian Empire.
975: The Scientific Revolution occurs, leading to a distrust in any emperor who claims to be put on the throne by a godly figure. The Afro-Asian Empire, to combat this, begins introducing a system of government similar to the Constantinian system.
990: North and South America are now completely understand Constantinian control.
1000: To celebrate the year 1000, the Constantine and Afro-Asian royal families marry fusing the "empires" into a global empire, the Earthen Empire. However, it soon becomes the Republic of Earth.
Today (2018 AD): The Solar Republic encompasses the entire Sun system, and looking into ways to further spread, faster than the speed of light. Earth is consisted of Greeks, Persians, Arabs, and a few scattered tribes that had somehow survived the Purge of Rome in the 6th century AD.
    the end

This is an awesome series +The Rat of Mapping . If there going to be a season 2 or compilation of the entire 14-episode series?

      1. I technically would have the rough story line for a second season, but at the moment I have different projects that I want to finish first before considering actually making it.
      2. Due to the fact that the quality of this series has changed quite a lot throughout it I wouldn't feel comfortable making a movie out of this series.

May I ask the names of the Constantinian Puppet States? I see a Celtic/Britonic one, a Frankish one, a German one, a Slavic one, but I can't understand the last one.

Amazing, but I was wondering... When the stone was destroyed, did that completely erase the gods for good, or did it just leave them unable to reach (or communicate with) Earth?
