    The sign is a subtle joke. The shop is called "Sneed's Feed & Seed", where feed and seed both end in the sound "-eed", thus rhyming with the name of the owner, Sneed. The sign says that the shop was "Formerly Chuck's", implying that the two words beginning with "F" and "S" would have ended with
    "-uck", rhyming with "Chuck". So, when Chuck owned the shop, it would have been called "Chuck's Feeduck and Seeduck".

      Hmm, I guess how hypothetical the development of Western Europe could go under islamic influence?
      I know it would be quite broad, but I think you can create a quite interesting timeline!
      Edit: Few ideas, Vikings are about to start to settlements of Northern European regions, such as France, how would they go? Perhaps a Norman-Muslim Empire in Western Europe?! That would be wild. Or perhaps Nsara defeat the Rollo and then no Normans. Both scenarios would be quite decisive.

    With Roman reconquest in 537 AD after retaking Rome itself the soissons would work together with Justinian hence the northern threat of lombards would be secure and Justianian could work on retaking Spain with allies thus after retaking spain and Gaul already in soissons Roman Empire is recovered hence the fall of soissons doesn't make any sense

      I think the Byzantines were not a fan of other "Roman Empires" in history.

    • @TheZhuangziAcademy
      @TheZhuangziAcademy  2 года назад

      Well seeing as how the Byzantines never recognised the Soissons as the proper Western Empire or legitimate I don’t think they would’ve gotten along.

      @@TheZhuangziAcademy Justinian was more receptive to Restoring Rome than his predecessors, He had dreams of retaking Gaul after Italy, but his forces were so depleted that he scraped the idea, if Syagrius survived & kept his realm safe, on the contrary, I think Justinian would’ve recognized his successor & try to possibly help him in reconquering Gaul completely. Of course there would be massive political games to played on both sides that might ruin the opportunity, but hey, alternate history is a bitch

      @@TheZhuangziAcademy I actually think Justinian would have tried to bring the kingdom of Soissons back in Roman rule. And Milan would have never been sacked because the Ostrogoths only sacked it with the help of the Burgundians. History would have been different. I hope you redo this video, it was quite interesting but I wish the kingdom of Soissons would have slowly been incorporated to the eastern Roman Empire. And after it started to decline it would become the Western Roman Empire and take Italy and fight the Muslims in Spain for control of the region. Great video though

    i think the Justinian may have pursued an alliance to eventual reincorporation. making it easier to restore roman border

      perhaps, but I thought this would be more interesting to have them collapse. Thus, showing a new Roman-less order in Europe, instead of a cliché Roman resurgence.

    Wouldnt it be more logical that the syagrii declared themselves the western roman emperorss and de jure united with the byzantines?

    • @Freedmoon44
      @Freedmoon44 Месяц назад +1

      The Syagrii never were usurpers however, id definitly see a tradition of not claiming the emperorship of Rome simply because they were basically Magister Militum anyway, which would de facto serve as regent in the period anyway
