🍃you are such a joy to watch, beautiful projects, wonderful insight, it's obvious your career and your hobbies suit you well. I can't wait until next time.
I always enjoy intentional use of overdyed floss vs just using them to use them. DMC has so many beautiful colours and as you and Cam do, there are beautiful ways to convert the colours using them
I know I’m a dinosaur but I keep my whips to 3 or 4. Usually just 2 …1 focus and the second for between a finish and a new start. Usually a knitting project goingtoo. Not so fun I know, but I think I know, for me, I have to power through because the shiny new start will always win my heart. If it is hard to keep at it, it will be impossible to for me to go back to. I have lots of unfinished quilts that taught me this about me. I love to live vicariously through you and all the other floss tubers who have lots of whips. 🍁
So “joy-filled” to sit here Saturday morning while coming off a miserable journey with first time Covid at age 72……and just RELISHING in your artistic ability to use color color color……to bend “rules”……enhance “rules”….to dress “rules” up…."……and to just break a few when it feels right………I love looking back at your archives for ideas…….hip hip hooray for LM designs and your work friendship ….Happy Trails
I agree! The Museum Stitcher is very artistic, and I enjoy seeing the creativity! The Flosstubes bring me a few minutes of sunshine and happiness in a troubled world. Hope you get better soon!
🍁Hi from Florida....we are also having our "week" of Fall. I can't wait for the cooler weather. We had such a hot summer just like you guys. Enjoy the weather and your stitching. Be well.
🍂I love that you have been model stitching for Liz Matthews! I am planning to stitch The 12 Days Of Christmas on one piece of fabric as well but have only been collecting the patterns and floss so far. I want to choose one border for all of the days instead of doing different ones for each. Happy stitching! 😊
🍁🍂 Thanks for sharing all the projects and plans. I too am thinking I need to concentrate on some more finishes and less starts over the next little while. Love your idea of three finishes to one new start. It is soooo hard as these designers keep putting out such great things. 🙂
🍁I’m currently stitching Autumn on the Farm by Primrose Cottage Stitches. After I finish that I’m going to work on Christmas stitches. I also have several knitting WIPs.
🍁🍂🍁I love hearing about your and your ‘Besties’ stitching journey. Your bobbin collection is beautiful, I should’ve stayed with bobbins, but I have a few 64-drawer cabinets that I’m slowly switching to. I’m hoping to be very happy with that system😏
I love that it's open season on stitchy stuff! I might have to go hunting for some new things myself. Thanks for sharing all your stitchy progress and keeping me company while I'm stitchy planning. The 🍂 in my neighborhood just started to turn yellow! Can't wait to see what you'll stitch next.
🍁🍂I think I am going to work on my Wips for next year to try and get some finishes on projects I have already started. Thanks for sharing what you are working on❣️
Loved seeing you again! I loved the way you have done the conversion on the alphabet you first showed. The teals are beautiful. I enjoyed seeing all of your wips, and your threads are so pretty. I have started so many different patterns. And I am in 2 different sals. It is hard to keep up, because I do work a full-time job. But, like you, I see new patterns I just have to start and kit them up. But I do cross stitch every day and make a little progress. But I do feel like I am to slow, at it. I can stitch at work; some days and I stitch at my lunch. And then I stitch before bedtime. But I do enjoy it so much. Have a great week and see you soon.🍁🍂
Liz said on a Flosstube last fall (with Kari of Tiger Lily and Racheal of Treehouse Fiber Arts) that it would be 2025 before she’s finished… I’ve got all of them and the single piece of fabric for all 12… I’m doing 24 new starts next year so I’m going to wait till 2025 to start them… great stitching!!!! 🍁
Hey! First-time viewer. Fun video. Suggestion for 12 by 12, I just can't do 12 new starts, too much! So, I am gonna do wips. I actually have 13, but I hope to get one done. Then I will have 12, and one or two are close to finished.
You are a model stitcher!! That’s awesome and not a surprise, by the way 😀. I watched your video when I got home from work as a “treat” for myself. Keep up the great work ❤
🍂 Always a fun time to visit with you! Your eye for color is so fantastic and the fabrics you choose are spectacular! Totally enabled and going to buy some VC silks now! Have fun stitching all the things!
After listening to you this morning, I plan to pull out Sally Spencer for some stitching today. I adore Vicky Clayton silks as you know. Take care. 🍁🍂🍃
Great video! I always love seeing your fabric and floss palates! Absolutely lovely! I am trying to finish up the Tiny Modernist’s Mystery Halloween Sal 2023. I am so in the mood for Christmas stitching, but being a monogamous stitcher, I must finish the current project! LOL Happy stitching!🍂🍁
Beautiful stitches! I really do like those 12 days of Christmas by HFLM. I've even thought about finishing them using painters canvas frames and making a massive wall display. 🍃
🍁🍁🍁 I am always so surprised how you can remember all those details of your projects. That was nice of Vicky claiton! Loving the F… attitude to start anything this year. The 12 days of Christmas I love it but itsssss sooooo big ! That I haven’t decided to actually start it. The Bella Philipina is beautiful 😍 the fabric ! Wow is like seeeee meee 😊
Lol I have like three different databases I use to track things so I don't forget the details!😂 And yes about the days of christmas, I'm very intimidated by the size of it lol!
🍁 thanks for a fun flosstube!! I’m still working on the quilted witch, but also working on a Jingle Ball project. I’m taking Liz Mathew’s Santa tree class so I’m attempting to finish the Santa tree to finish with her. I’m excited!
The quilted witch is so cute, I definitely think I'm gonna have to kit her up! I'm also taking Liz's tree class, I'm working on a different tree of hers for it but I'm pumped!
Hi, Brijin! I’m a little late on my FT watching, but I have to say, I enjoyed this video SOOOO much!!! I remember when last you showed the Autumn Alphabet sampler, and the framing on that is just perfect…also the teal pumpkins! I am blown away by all the stitching you got done on your projects. I love the MFE piece…It’s so different! And model stitching for Liz Matthews?!? You go, girl! That’s awesome. I’m currently working on Elizabeth Ranicar 1845 by The Wishing Thorn, which is my first reproduction sampler, and quite a departure from my usual, but it’s so different, I’m loving it! Enjoyed the visit. Take care! 🍁🍂 Meline
Oh I just looked that up and it's such a cute reproduction pattern!! I love having some projects that are different from the usual, so much fun! Happy stitching Meline!
🍁🍂Love your videos Brijin! Hope is peeled that right! And don’t apologize for talking our ears off about cross stitch! Lol! That’s what we’re here for! Happy stitching! And thanks for sharing all your cross stitch endeavors!
Loved the video amd ordered the needlemates! Such a cool product. My birthday is November 26th- so present to myself. You can talk about cross stitching for an hour anytime you want! Finishing Welcome to the North Pole and This is the day...
Thanks for uploading another vibrant video. Love all your finishes, wips & ideas & your conversions on Boo Spook Haunt is really beautiful. Happy stitching.
So many amazing projects you're working on. I absolutely love when you post a new video. You have so much energy and enthusiasm, it makes me want to stitch all the things. I'm trying to figure out my plans for next year too, and not settling on anything yet.
🍂 starting to work on Christmas WIPS. I’m still puzzling over how I’m going to approach 2024. I did WIPGO this year and liked it but it definitely prevented me from doing as many smalls as I usually do.
Thanks for sharing your projects and plans. I am planning to do the MFE SAL for 2024, Lila's Studio Autumn Quaker (as soon as she releases it, as I did her Summer Quaker) and several other starts in 2024. I'm currently working on a group of Prairie Schooler Old World Santas for ornaments to gift at Christmas. Other plans are fluid. Trying to get in a few finishes before I start the Evertote/MFE/Roxy FlossCo Holiday Countdown in December.🍁
Your plan for '24 is low starts mine will be quite the opposite. I have plans to do 50 starts for next year. While I was watching you today I finished up Supernatural by The Witchy Stitcher, so I think you are good luck for me today. Thank you! heh

When using variegated, do you complete an entire cross at a time? Also, some stitchers don’t go in a row, they travel around the motif (like a roof or bat) and I wondered it you’ve used that method. ~Elizabeth ❤
The short answer is I use all the different methods! For the most part I work horizontally, but depending on how I want the project to look I'll do the full cross at a time or do half stitches one way and then back the other way so it's a bit more subtle! So it varies project by project for me!

I don't usually get anxiety about my stitching unless it's gift stitching or deadline stitching, which I try to limit now! But I have friends that get a lot of anxiety if they plan things out and don't stick to those plans so I think that's a totally normal way to feel! I will say I try to make time to stitch every day, at least for 20 minutes or so, and I hate how I feel when I go several days without it since it calms my brain! But I have cycled through a lot of different planning methods that haven't worked out for me before and I would like to have one, so that's the struggle I'm dealing with right now! I hope that helps!
Do you have notes regarding the color changes you made on Autumn Alphabet? I would like to use the same palette and fabric you used.
I used mostly the called for, murky linen by PTP, I just changed the bottom pumpkin to Bold Teal by Colour and Cotton and the middle pumpkin to Medium Teal also by Colour and Cotton!
🍁🍂🍀🌿
Not stitchy related but how do you get your soft curls? Love your hair! I use my flat iron but it’s super inconsistent sometimes they’re way too tight.
Aww, thank you! I'm either rocking heatless curls with a curling rod or 1 inch regular curling iron curls that I brush through! I think the ones in this video were second day heatless curls and I just used the curling iron to touch up the front pieces!
