Amazing video man, i would love to have seen some best of township rebellion riff. guess is not THAT heavy as the rest but is one of my favourites, wembley and the mayan ones are sick as fuck.
Osaka Jam in post BHAR era was epic. I remember there was a concert that osaka jam was transitioned into plug in baby with Matt’s late participation to the jam. You should upload that to a part 2 video too if you find it.
While it's impressive it's also important to note that they're not playing Showbiz in its original key. It's much easier to sing it one step down as Matt can't reliably hit that note anymore.
I heavily agree but I also disagree since that era was (yes he was crazier) but the music itself sounds heavier. For example: the headup riff sounds much better and heavier in the newer mixes rather than at Grand Rex in 2008 where it mostly just sounds flat even though matt was “less tame”. TLDR: don’t worry, I’m making a part 2
Yes, just a few seconds of Citizen Erased ... It is true that more distorted is not synonymous with heavier, but it is equally true that the sound of Muse at that time was more explosive and harsh, less muffled. The performances were faster and more aggressive, just compare the Microcuts of the video with the live versions of the period 2001-2004. The instrumentation was different, there was no keyboard player, and the band aimed to sound as hard as possible. Then they softened to fill the stadiums.
@@giulioricci1119 don’t forget the little bit of Stockholm syndrome from that show too that I added. And as I’ve said before there’s 3 other parts I’m releasing for this video and as the description says, this is the mere surface of how muse has been heavy. I agree that micro cuts’ vocals were better back then but in my opinion the instrumentation is better in more recent performances, the palm muted outro is better imo. I wouldn’t say they softened to fill stadiums, they simply adapted their sound and there’s nothing wrong that. The point of this video is to show that they can still do what they did in the past and then some
@@giulioricci1119 I agree on what you’re saying with how it’s become more muffled, the vocals and guitar are very buried in the mix (live) even still. Back in the day they were blaring. I definitely miss that
@@matthewdpavitt It is probably also a matter of taste. I don't really appreciate the post Absolution material, the stadium sound and the old songs rearranged for the general public - too slow and mellow. My favorite Microcuts is the one at Earls Court in 2004, it's so heavy! 😅
that half time drum outro for Stockholm Syndrome is JUICY
I absolutely love it when Muse goes heavy
Muse is prob the most creative band ever, kind of pop rock songs with piano and at the end a fucking deathcore breakdown
that last clip of dom and chris is insane
I can proudly say I saw 4 of these clips live
You lucky bastard ❤ i envy
I NEED one new song for each heavy riff they played
Like psycho yk
Won’t Stand Down guitar sound is super awesome👍🏻
Rage against the machine Freedom , Tom morello is his idol so half of his riffs are tributes or inspired by ratm
You forgot middle part of The Globalist, end of Survival, end of Mk Ultra, Agitated, solo of Butterflies and Hurricanes, end of Reapers, The Handler
Thanks but I didn’t forget lmao. I couldn’t have a nearly 30 minute video so I’m splitting them into a series of parts
im going to my 2nd Muse concert here in Houston Tx . I cant wait
have fun! i'm seeing them in Philly
Thanks ditto 😊

I wanted to save a few more riffs for a part 2 :)
Holy shit that palm muted Ashamed riff is so 🥵🥵🥵
Dude RIGHT. I can’t believe you commented this as I was jamming it too lmao

ruclips.net/video/rZPbk8DBSdY/видео.html was it this show?
@@matthewdpavitt Yeah!
Also Stockholm syndrome has its best endings at rock am ring 2004 and earls court 2004 for me xd
I FUCKING LOVE THEIR HEAVY MOMENTS, THEY SHOULD MAKE AN ALBUM FULL OF THEM SIMILAR TO WOTP!
i think that's kinda what they were going for with drones
Matt said Kill or be Killed is influenced by Slipknot due his son’s favorite band. I wouldn’t be surprised if the next album is death metal album.
This is so heavy that I wanted to punch a wall on my way to the bathroom! 😂
And it sounds like my 1st band. We called it sludge rock.
Loved the video 😃Was surprised not to see the ending of Stockholm Syndrome at Pinkpop 2004 though🤪
Lol as much as I would love to include that entire outro it would just make the video too long😂
Muse really going deathcore mode
Or Nasty Space Rock/Noise Rock mode 🤖👽🤘🏻

И это Мьюз, была на их концерте в Питере, девушки в обморок падали) мощные красавцы, бывшие готы и настоящие.
It's funny how Matt and the boys could wake up tomorrow and turn into some weird ass metalcore/hard rock/prog rock band and no one would blink an eye.
Song at 6:40 is who knows who, i think from the uprising ep or something, it features the streets
Yup. B side from uprising. One of my favorite outros they do, I guess I forgot to caption it
@@matthewdpavitt coming back to this comment, I've realised I'm a dumbass and misread the caption as "Who knows this riff" 😂
Early supremacy
10:43 Duality
Damn, wish i had seen them play Duality
09:23 Always imagining a metalcore vocalist doing screams at this epic breakdown part. xd
Thats why i love them 😊 .. ( no pinkpop 2004 Stockholm outro execution ?!?!?!)
Text could be in screen for shorter
Next video is just gonna be a half second flash of text
i never knew i would need this video in my life 🔥
11:45
muse need to go heavy more often. i was there at glasto :)
If you plan of a part 2, look for Earthquake Outro Vuilstamen riff!
Monsters!!! great post!
3:38
6:30 Who knows who riff
Led zeppelin - Heartbreaker
Heavy muse is the best muse
Where was that Munich Jam from?
Ah it was Portland 😁👌
Nice, that you recognise the "Munic" in the Jam.👍🏻 It is my prefered version of this jam.
what song is 8:13?
Assasin
is the riff at 2:40 a song?
man...this matt used to be a fookin rock star...what happened to him now?
Many of these clips are from the past 10 years. Some are from the current tour.
this is a good muse vid wow!
what's the song at 9:22
Kill or be Killed, on their latest album!
00:53 he looks like Johnny Greenwood here
What concert is the one at minute 1:30?
All original video links are in the description! This is the 0123 riff from rock in rio
Is it just me or does the Headup riff sound similar to Break It To Me?
tbh most of this is pretty tame compared to all the shit matt used to do pre BHNR jst saying

Sad you didn't include Maggie's Farm riff after Map of the Problematique from the Later with Jools Holland performance. That's easy s-tier for me
🎁🔥♥️😍Disarmante 😍
Un groupe légendaire et il n'y a aucun français dans les commentaires ???
the first video, what's name song?
Stockholm Syndrome
Stockholm Syndrome
can you add timestamps to the description
sure, i'll work on that
I love them to death, but those boys are gonna lose their hearing
Anything more than one word is unreadable within one second and no one's gonna rewind and pause but otherwise cool video
They’re really not meant to be read unless they’re actually a song title. More for meme purposes

"Muse's heaviest Moment". There is no performance from 2001-2004 when the sound was much harder and more distorted. Lol

We need more Muse albums with more guitar and awesome riffs other than electronic crap
Agreed
