Excellent! The Teflon sheets are amazing 🤗 you definitely don’t want that fusible web glue on your wool mat that’s for sure!

The mat that you no longer use can probably be used under a machine to reduce noise and/or vibration. If the smell still bothers you, maybe you can wrap it in another fabric. Thanks for the information. I hope to invest in one of these soon.

Oh I love the tip of using the spare mat under my machine to reduce the noise and vibrations! Someone else has recommended using bicarbonate soda to try to get rid of the sheepy smell so I will try that as well 🤗

I recently bought a mat from amazon and had to send it back because of the really strong sheep smell! Can you tell me where you purchased the one you said was the better mat that didn’t smell so bad.

      Wool comes from a sheep.

Search for the ‘Sewmadic wool pressing mat’ on Amazon or Etsy if you are in the US and you will find it. I have noticed that they are available on the Australian Amazon now too 🤗🤗
