I only seen Array Seven giving it a fair review on how to use and play against it, so this video was a good reminder of versitile and strong the vacinator can be. For me its the sole reason to play medic (or TF2 in general) during the bot crisis, using the game's built in anti cheat. Its kinda fitting that it goes by the name "VAC-inator", heh. Also i want to point out how well you pointed out how it combos with other lesser used medic weapons like the solemn vov. In my experience, most players still dont trust the vacinator and will just dismiss it as "weak" when they rush into a crowd of 8 stickies, 3 sentries, 5 phlogs and 1 direct hit soldier. Using the solemn vov they can insantly know if they have the fighting advantage regardless of a vacinator charge, wich can motivate them enough to push. Also as you said, the übersaw, while always usefull, gets less nessecary the faster über build rate you have. Even as someone who loves the vacinator, i too think it can be close to a straight upgrade, and should maybe be nerfed. Not by making its upsides weaker, but rather adding some downsides (like maybe +100% melee vulnerability like on the fists of steel) since as of now, the slow overheal is almost benefitial (with it letting you farm more charge) and not being much of a downside as you can burst heal your target with the crossbow.
I mean it make sense right. The Vaccinator is a weapon that encourages hyper aggressive none stop uber push playstyle. Although very challenging to use, it is a very broken weapon if it is used by a "right" person. Dear god! Its soo unfun to play against these guys if they ever appear.
I get your point. On the other side, playing passively like a "mobile dispenser" and being nothing but a punching bag for snipers/hackers, phlogs and sticky spam isnt fun either. Atleast it gives you something to do as medic beside being dead when your team dont turn around. With this, you mostly gonna be dead because YOU as the medic dont turn around every 5 second for spies since you constantly must anticipate damage. Wich i feel is more fair than being gambled at the mercy of your team turning around for a single scout. I think its balanced as a weapon, but has the highest griefing/camping potential if used on patients with other "griefer friendly" weapons. It is a defensive weapon to be used to surf damage or hold a position, but if the enemy is ready or have multiple medic/damage combos its easially focus fired.
It shouldn't be nerfed at all! It's the only decent medigun after Stock, both the kritz AND the Quickfix are situational only while the Vacinator gives medics an option to use the Vac as an replacement for all the other mediguns (except for the stock) due to its versatility. Thing is: it's damn hard to use it at its full potential. I bet 99% of Meds in the game have no idea how to use it properly since it requires a lot of time and effort just to get the feeling of the weapon, and even more time to use it with some degree of effectiveness. Nerfing the Vac makes no sense since, again, it takes a lot of time and skill just to get the basics of the gun, it's like punishing good snipers by nerfing the stock rifle because the 1% of God-like snipers can 0ne-shot an entire team. Most people who claim it should be nerfed are either salty because a rare breed of medic dominated a match with his Vaccinator in hand OR are that rare breed and thus think everyone is as good with the Vaccinator as themselves. I'm still training in pubs with the Vaccinator and YEAH, this gun is a bitch to master lol
I dont want it to become overnerfed and useless either. It is the only reason i still play medic after all. But there is no denying that it can be absolutely broken if used on snipers or phlog pyroes despite being a anti pocket healer. It is the best medigun for countering cheaters and 1v1 advantages, but its also the best medigun for spawncamping and aiding cheaters. (It can be really effective even when used by bad medics who has no interest in using it like it was intended and just want to pocket a camper) Its really unfair when used against heavies who cant easially switch to melee after reving up. (that is kind of the point of the weapon) The third degree would hardly become useless if they added a small downside to it, same with the vacinator wich is the closest the medic has to a straight upgrade. Adding a downside of 100% melee vulnerability would encourage people to use its already existing downside more (of no melee protection) instead of thinking that "just changing to a higher DPS weapon like direct hit, machina or brass beast is sure to take out a vacinator" (Its percentage based. The more damage the more its gonna resist) At the same time it would remain a powerfull, versetile, fun and challenging weapon to use in almost any situation, but with downsides that actually matters. As someone who has a strange killstreak vacinator with 12 589 übercharges and 10 319 kill asists on it, i really dont want to become overnerfed as that would ruin medic as a class for me. But the fact that i named it "unlimited power!" says something of how good it is despite so rarely being used by "meta slaves" Id say its better in comp because it charges faster than stock and there is less people to shoot at you. Its better than kritz in mvm because it stacks with upgraded damage resistances to the point that you can tank a sentrybuster at point blank without taking damage. (Also the split uber system is better than the quickfix at instantly reviving teammates) Provided you have all 4 charges, your patient is a fully overhealed powerclass and you can hit your crossbow, it can be a better medigun for pushing through sentry nests. (Albeit not as many as with stock, but at that point even stock would not be able to get close enough and you would need multiple medic rather than another medigun.) And its good in casual since noone besides scouts and demoknights bother with their melee so it essentially has no downside in casual.
The Vaccinator is one of the few weapons in this game where I actually feel bad for using it because of its potential to totally deny most threats. I put it on the same "screw it, you guys deserve fighting this" shelf as the scorch shot, the sticke launcher and the Huntsman, being weapons I consider so ridiculously strong/annoying that I really want to avoid using them since they frustrate myself to fight against. When it comes to memorising the Vaccinator resistances I personally just learned them by switching them constantly and repeating the cycle in my head. I remember there used to be a mod that replaces the vaccinators little screen with a cycle of the resistances but I faled to make that work.
I mean comparing the scorch shot to the vaccinator is kinda like comparing blowing a red light murder... like both are bad, but there is a reason no one uses the vaccinator and most pyros use the scorch shot. One is a strong weapon people like to meme about, the other tells the other team they don't get to play anymore. (Kinda find it funny the video seems to assume people don't use it because its too hard to figure out and not because medic mains are just good people who choose to not use it)
@@jamesmoniz5263 "the other tells the other team they don't get to play anymore" And this is why I never feel guilt when using it against a sweaty sniper.
As a medic main, the vaccinator has been my bane of the existence. I rarely use it since it's always been so unweildy, even though I recognize how good it can be in the hands of a master. I just haven't mastered it. It's good to have some tips to help along that path thanks man, and cheers!
Nice video! Very well made! The only thing I would say is that the music is a little too loud at times and also that you can actually add built-in time stamps to the video ("Chapters" as they're called) that might help organize it
re: auto-call for health I have a keybind which raises the threshold to 151% (while held) when I want to see where everyone is regardless of health Very useful when you get separated from teammates at all
Going caveman has to be my fave expression for using melee. Doing some runs with the vax i find it extremely fun on the choke points of dustbowl. No better place to get good at running through resitances and learning when to pop then the spam heavy chokes of that map.
I have to applaud you, great video in every sense of the word, the production quality is outstanding considering your channels size. And you did convince me in trying out the vaccinator the next time I play tf2.
Kinda sad to see this weapon so unused. I've been using it for almost 2 months and i absolutely enjoy it as i'm a complete annoyance to the other team.
5:45 is my favorite clip because its just so crazy how you completely deny the other medics kritz on two different power classes. thats some nutty power.
5:00 Quickscopes deal 145 actually. The passive resistance doesn't block any of the 100 critical damage, just 5 from the 50 bullet damage. Full-charge body shots do deal 135 however, since the entire 150 is bullet damage and there's no critical damage so there's 15 taken off of the damage.
i know this video is already 2 years old, but i have to say i prefer the style and pacing of how u did this video compared to your other medic videos. i’ve been studying them lately and i enjoy them all, especially your sick frag moments, but i will admit that the videos following this one were a little difficult to keep up with without (1) reducing the video speed by at least .5x and (2) pausing and rewinding very frequently to take in the sheer amount of knowledge thrown our way. the moments of silence/pauses in between each chapter where you displayed the title cards helped a lot with the pacing. it gave our brains a chance to absorb the knowledge of the previous chapter, while providing a nice spot to pause without worrying about missing breakneck segues into related topics. in addition, you gave the visuals/infographs themselves space to breathe. of course it takes nothing to simply pause the video, but i felt more comfortable doing so because i wasn’t fighting to understand the previous information at the same time as decrypting the stats on screen. it was nice. aside from that, it’s obvious to see that the vaccinator is your bread and butter seeing how much thought and editing was put into this video (if it wasn’t obvious from your newer videos too lol)… that and it seemed like you had a lot of fun making this. i really enjoyed it too, especially as it offered a lot of good tips i hadn’t known about before. i can see myself returning to this in the future because it was so fun to watch. also, wisdom +100. thanks for supplying all these helpful medic videos to us these past few years… the game becomes much more fun to play once you’re not fighting to understand what you’re even doing in addition to the enemy actions. may your crossbows always hit, theory-y
Thanks! I personally liked the chapters as well but the constant flow does better with watchtime so I stopped that. This was the first guide as well and I had a lot more free time than I do now.
Hold the fuck up, you can use multiple damage-negating bubbles at the same time? God, I'm gonna be maining this thing so hard. Imagine what it would be like if the resistances could be hotkey'd, I could see this being basically the absolute main medigun.
@@Theory-Y Well, for me, Medic is all about being able to keep teammates alive and reducing the downtime they're not in combat as much as possible and while quick-fix helps with that more, its über is not exactly what I could call strong, especially when a simple sniper headshot can kill you. Being able to also stay alive more is a great thing, because it complements the other 2 points.
@@Theory-Y Yeah, appearently planning to do that. I personally think it's better for offense for most of the time if you want to be more defensive than with the Kritzkrieg, though it's still not bad for defense either, especially if you have to rush übers before they push. It has its place, but it's definitely great for other situations aswell.
The vaccinator is the sniper rifle of medic: It's only good when you're skilled enough, but the skill ceiling is so damn high that if you reach it you're so unstoppably overpowered that it's infuriating to the enemy team. At least it rewards medics for skill, gamesense, & healing the TEAM instead of being a shitty pocket. I still wish there were some reward for a full 100% meter, like medic is supposed to be, rewarding him for surviving long enough. Maybe if they pinned onto it the projectile shield from MvM, &/or gave the patient Mini-Kritz while attacking? This would, of course, come st the cost of the FULL 10-Sec. METER. If you use your Vacc-Über at 100%, you're using all 100%, no matter what.
I also use the Vaccinator more than any other medi-gun, and I absolutely love it. It makes you feel like you're flying a space ship that nobody else knows how to operate, and yields game-changing results when done correctly. Great guide video, and my only edit would be when you mention that you should stay on bullet resistance when not actively engaged in a fight. This is mostly true, but I tend to stay on blast when maneuvering through tunnels and closed chokes because snipers are much less of a threat in those instances; Projectile classes are devastating in closed spaces. When you're in an open area, definitely keep bullet up as there is more time to switch when encountering a soldier/demo.
Damn dude, your content is top-notch, i'm surprised you aren't getting loads more attention because you definetly deserve it, keep up the good work! uwu
This thing also needs a nerf / fix : > Medics shouldn't be able to build Übercharge while one of his Über-Bubbles is popped. > You shouldn't be able to cap while under the Charge of the Vaccinator's Über-Bubble. But also... > while the overheal speed & Über rate on overhealed patients should stay weak on this medigun for obvious reasons, the Vaccinator's OverHeal _Decay-Rate_ should be slower, to make overhealing not completely useless on this thing, & enccourage medics to give a patient some overheal & switch to another player, oassing the overheal around. Maybe the limit of 4 bubbles is too strong. Maybe you should be limited to3 bubbles instead, each bubble lasting 3 or 3.⅓ seconds?
These videos helped me so much. my previous most healing done per life was 2000 and that was just a great night. I recently smashed it to 4800 in one life and now regularly get close to that new record. Crossbow heals. Such a cool skill based and satisfying skill to learn.
I watched about a third of this video, connected up to a casual server playing dustbowl on offense, and immediately top scored after using the vaccinator for the first time. Yeah, it's a pretty good medigun.
I still love my quick fix. Been using since 2 nerfs ago. I usually only use the Vacc in MvM for the instal revive. the vacc in casual is worse than quick fix without a mic since you cant quickly coordinated.
@@no-better-name I don't get it the quick fix, with the vaccinator you can pop bubbles on yourself way earlier. Quickfix also doesn't do that much to help push, all other ubers are focused on avoiding damage entirely (including kritz, which is meant to kill everything before they kill you) while quickfix just attempts to heal everyone faster. I guess it's good if there's too many people?
@@DuckieMcduck it sucks at pushes because it's not for pushes. what keeps the enemy away is the team's presence and firepower, and it won't really matter if 1-2 people have a bubble or an uber when you're in a major fight and losing hard. the quick-fix mega heal uber helps keep the team up when there's no guarantee that kritz will be used well.
@@no-better-name you mean it helps people die less often so it doesn't call for being outnumbered? Cause it legitimately bewilders me that it only really does anything if the team has already hurt itself a little (less overheal) but not too much because burst damage deletes people.
23:08: Telling people to shut the hell up is a learned skill, especially if you're used to being helpful. I had a trolldier who kept demanding heals and my (stock) uber when it charged. Used it on the Pyro, got 4 kills and the sentry nest, and the trolldier would not shut up about how it was wasted.
personally I use the caps lock button as the reload option because it is right next to the a button so it is easier to press. after all the only items that require me to use are the vaccinator and the southern hospitality.
Very in depth, ive recently picked up using the Vaccinator and this just makes me wanna commit to it more often. Thank you so much for this extremely useful info. ❤
Oh I love this thing. You get laughs and cries of desperation from the enemy team in equal amounts when you show up with this, and those laughs quickly dissapear after you wipe them out from the face of the earth with a competent Heavy or Pyro. As for binds, I can offer you a very simple and useful one, that simply skips a resistance in the cycle, and a "panic button" that automatically deploys all 3 shields in case of emergency: bind "MOUSE3" "panicshield" bind "e" doubleload alias doubleload "+reload; wait 5; -reload; wait 5; +reload; wait 5; -reload" alias panicshield "+attack2; wait 5; +reload; wait 5; -reload; wait 5; +reload; wait 5; -reload; wait 5; +reload; wait 5; -reload; wait5; -attack2" I never call for Medic so I got used to E for reload and R for double reload, but for this simplified bind I left R untouched. Mouse 3 enables the triple shield. I recommend using this bind somewhere else if you play MvM. On my case it's no problem because I have a script that restores the bind to +attack3 when equipping another Medigun, but that bind is extremely complicated and needs manteinance every once in a while so I left it out of this. (funnily enough I tend to use the panic shield to farm points during setup time more than anything). As for loadouts, I favor the Amputator. Did you know multiple Amputator taunts STACK? Try going with 2 Vaccinator Medics on the choke point and take turns spamming bubbles and taunts. They will NEVER break through I guarantee you.
I am a long time Medic main, I chose Not to use the vacc until now so I can focus on getting better with the core gameplay of the class for the longest time. Your video inspired me to Finally give this weapon a go, thanks! Your channel is the best man
Good video. As a returning TF2 used-to-be soldier main back in 2012-15 and now having a measly hundred hours on medic with my trusty "The I-can't-aim-crossbow-bolts crutch" Quickfix I'm eyeing the Vaccinator for sure. Though I will be trying to get better at the crossbow first before taking on the Vacc, my aim with the crossbow is turning from can barely hit the side of a barn to with some luck I can hit the shed in front of me. Slow growth.
You forgot to talk about it but the axtinguisher in it's current form actually transfers afterburner damage to melee damage making it better than most against vaccinators
I love to use this medigun and hate to fight against it, a really high skill medic can shatter an entire pub with it, but i kinda respect because of the practice you'll need.
i main vacc med, and this medigun very well compliments the solemn vow, and the issue of "my team wont protect me" This medigun has taken me from liking medic to adoring him, but be aware, the skill ceiling for this weapon is a lot higher than the other mediguns Edit: this was made before i watched the vid
One time I was playing Medic with Quick-Fix, and I hit a crusaders crossbow shot at all of the corners in the building of the capture point and managed to hit the spy that I saw cloak away.
"If the guy is your pocket and whines if you heal other players, tell them to shut the fuck up" Some general medic tips for every medigun spread about in here, I see.
21:55 The chart is unnecessary, the brain was evolved to pick up on suntle cues and learning from them. E.x. being when to crossbow or when to beam. It's still a nice chart to get started and maybe speed up the process of learning but maybe not entirely nessesary
Probably the most overpowered medigun when played perfectly, it's biggest feature is it invalidates other mediguns. It also invalidates the Heavy, Sniper, and Demoman classes the hardest.
I love the Vacc I have not played TF2 long but I do have decent reaction time from playing other games. It feels like it was yesterday (because it was) where I got my first godlike by pushing with my entire team and obliterating the enemy.
You can also Buble several teammates in quick succession, nothin instill the fear of god on your enemies like 3 bubbled heavies coming out of the gates shrugging off explosions all around them

This video inspired me, not just to main Medic, but to become a Vaccinator Medic. I was going to become a Demo main, but they're a dime a dozen. Obviously, the laws of TF2 makes the journey of every Medic main the hardest. Now take the immense challenge of dealing with both your enemies and suffering because of your teammates, add "The AiDHD Machine" and now you have unlocked TF2 hidden H E L P! mode. Why would I do this to myself? Well, when you are able to prevent a huntsman from killing someone when it is starting to enter your, or your teammates, skull makes you feel like German Jesus.
I like to use The Vaccinator with The Crusader's Crossbow, and The Amputator. This is because I like to be a strictly team-leading medic. I use my melee for healing the crowd, my medi-gun for basic team healing, and my primary for long range healing.
Wow, I enjoy these videos so much. As a medic main, I can't really find too many others talking about the class and how to most utilize him. I have 200 hours with the class, but feel like I am not improving. I genuinely think that some of these strategies will help, though.

(It can be really effective even when used by bad medics who has no interest in using it like it was intended and just want to pocket a camper)
Its really unfair when used against heavies who cant easially switch to melee after reving up. (that is kind of the point of the weapon)
The third degree would hardly become useless if they added a small downside to it, same with the vacinator wich is the closest the medic has to a straight upgrade.
Adding a downside of 100% melee vulnerability would encourage people to use its already existing downside more (of no melee protection) instead of thinking that "just changing to a higher DPS weapon like direct hit, machina or brass beast is sure to take out a vacinator"
(Its percentage based. The more damage the more its gonna resist)
At the same time it would remain a powerfull, versetile, fun and challenging weapon to use in almost any situation, but with downsides that actually matters.
As someone who has a strange killstreak vacinator with 12 589 übercharges and 10 319 kill asists on it, i really dont want to become overnerfed as that would ruin medic as a class for me.
But the fact that i named it "unlimited power!" says something of how good it is despite so rarely being used by "meta slaves"
Id say its better in comp because it charges faster than stock and there is less people to shoot at you.
Its better than kritz in mvm because it stacks with upgraded damage resistances to the point that you can tank a sentrybuster at point blank without taking damage.
(Also the split uber system is better than the quickfix at instantly reviving teammates)
Provided you have all 4 charges, your patient is a fully overhealed powerclass and you can hit your crossbow, it can be a better medigun for pushing through sentry nests.
(Albeit not as many as with stock, but at that point even stock would not be able to get close enough and you would need multiple medic rather than another medigun.)
And its good in casual since noone besides scouts and demoknights bother with their melee so it essentially has no downside in casual.
Teaching people this power is a war crime
4 months and I still hold up my statement
2 years later, you still feeling it?
25:57 He's pretty much a perfect voice actor for a 1950's greaser
Bully
(Kinda find it funny the video seems to assume people don't use it because its too hard to figure out and not because medic mains are just good people who choose to not use it)
@@jamesmoniz5263 "the other tells the other team they don't get to play anymore"
And this is why I never feel guilt when using it against a sweaty sniper.
As a medic main, the vaccinator has been my bane of the existence. I rarely use it since it's always been so unweildy, even though I recognize how good it can be in the hands of a master. I just haven't mastered it. It's good to have some tips to help along that path
thanks man, and cheers!
This channel is about as underrated as the Vaccinator, as I've just found out.
this is actually really high quality
this dude needs more subscribers
Thanks I'll make sure to go through the flowchart in about 200ms needed to make a reaction
I knew buying a strange killstreak vaccinator was a good idea!
Nice video! Very well made! The only thing I would say is that the music is a little too loud at times and also that you can actually add built-in time stamps to the video ("Chapters" as they're called) that might help organize it
One of the best indepth guides I've seen for TF2. Also great editing and again fantastic video!
re: auto-call for health
I have a keybind which raises the threshold to 151% (while held) when I want to see where everyone is regardless of health
Very useful when you get separated from teammates at all
What the FUCK that „if this vid gets 500 views“ surprised me, this quality is deserving of millions!
I love how he has takanaka as background music
finally someone noticed that the vaccinator is very strong!Cool video, keep it up👍
Vaccinator is the only medigun that does squat against bots. 75% resistance to bullets and no bonus on headshots is amazing against spinning toasters.
I approve 👌
Vax is quite op if you know what you're doing, tho most medics don't know what they're doing...
12:31 that soldier is a god . hitting two air shot on the pyro
God among us.
Kinda sad to see this weapon so unused. I've been using it for almost 2 months and i absolutely enjoy it as i'm a complete annoyance to the other team.
as a vacc medic main, this makes me happy :D (also I had never thought of the vacc tech, will def be trying that out- same with the battalion)
5:45 is my favorite clip because its just so crazy how you completely deny the other medics kritz on two different power classes. thats some nutty power.
The vaccinator is definitely my second favorite medigun (i love the quick-fix too much to make it my top)
Tauntkill surfing is something I would never think to see in tf2
5:00 Quickscopes deal 145 actually. The passive resistance doesn't block any of the 100 critical damage, just 5 from the 50 bullet damage. Full-charge body shots do deal 135 however, since the entire 150 is bullet damage and there's no critical damage so there's 15 taken off of the damage.
Yeah I forgot about that when I was writing the video. Nice catch!
7:10 you can see how much that pyro loves the phloger
I'm decent with the vaccinator
. . . but it has some problems with my morality
i miss when meelle count as bullet damage and vacinator was nightmare for demoknights
anyone here remembe when the Vac used to give health from damage absorbed by the shield?
I don't know you, but as a medic main was really a good time.
i know this video is already 2 years old, but i have to say i prefer the style and pacing of how u did this video compared to your other medic videos. i’ve been studying them lately and i enjoy them all, especially your sick frag moments, but i will admit that the videos following this one were a little difficult to keep up with without (1) reducing the video speed by at least .5x and (2) pausing and rewinding very frequently to take in the sheer amount of knowledge thrown our way. the moments of silence/pauses in between each chapter where you displayed the title cards helped a lot with the pacing. it gave our brains a chance to absorb the knowledge of the previous chapter, while providing a nice spot to pause without worrying about missing breakneck segues into related topics. in addition, you gave the visuals/infographs themselves space to breathe. of course it takes nothing to simply pause the video, but i felt more comfortable doing so because i wasn’t fighting to understand the previous information at the same time as decrypting the stats on screen. it was nice.
aside from that, it’s obvious to see that the vaccinator is your bread and butter seeing how much thought and editing was put into this video (if it wasn’t obvious from your newer videos too lol)… that and it seemed like you had a lot of fun making this. i really enjoyed it too, especially as it offered a lot of good tips i hadn’t known about before. i can see myself returning to this in the future because it was so fun to watch. also, wisdom +100. thanks for supplying all these helpful medic videos to us these past few years… the game becomes much more fun to play once you’re not fighting to understand what you’re even doing in addition to the enemy actions.
may your crossbows always hit, theory-y
Thanks! I’m new to medic and I always liked using vaccinator when I’m not respawning. I know have a chance thanks to this video!
The vaccinator is the sniper rifle of medic:
It's only good when you're skilled enough, but the skill ceiling is so damn high that if you reach it you're so unstoppably overpowered that it's infuriating to the enemy team.
Vaccinator is the MOST FUN Medigun to USE, and the LEAST FUN Medigun to play AGAINST.
Damn dude, your content is top-notch, i'm surprised you aren't getting loads more attention because you definetly deserve it, keep up the good work! uwu
Ohhhh, opening song is Starlane Stroll! Nice!
Yeah, I love his stuff!
The Vaccinator was always one of the coolest looking Mediguns for me, next to the Quick Fix.
This thing also needs a nerf / fix :
> Medics shouldn't be able to build Übercharge while one of his Über-Bubbles is popped.
Maybe you should be limited to3 bubbles instead, each bubble lasting 3 or 3.⅓ seconds?
array might get some competition after staying dead after all
These videos helped me so much. my previous most healing done per life was 2000 and that was just a great night. I recently smashed it to 4800 in one life and now regularly get close to that new record. Crossbow heals. Such a cool skill based and satisfying skill to learn.
This is bloody brilliant, can't wait for the huntsman
When communicating with the patient "Shoot, boom, burn" is faster than saying "Bullets, explosives, fire"
I watched about a third of this video, connected up to a casual server playing dustbowl on offense, and immediately top scored after using the vaccinator for the first time. Yeah, it's a pretty good medigun.
I still love my quick fix. Been using since 2 nerfs ago. I usually only use the Vacc in MvM for the instal revive. the vacc in casual is worse than quick fix without a mic since you cant quickly coordinated.
yeah, the quick-fix is the "can't trust team, can't trust self" option, practically a must if i'm the only medic on a chokey map
Quick fix and vac is the fuck my team mediguns
I use this when bots are involved, just so players stand a chance at playing around them
17:42 Ok that was badass
23:08: Telling people to shut the hell up is a learned skill, especially if you're used to being helpful. I had a trolldier who kept demanding heals and my (stock) uber when it charged. Used it on the Pyro, got 4 kills and the sentry nest, and the trolldier would not shut up about how it was wasted.
werd! fellow Medics: choose your own way!
personally I use the caps lock button as the reload option because it is right next to the a button so it is easier to press.
after all the only items that require me to use are the vaccinator and the southern hospitality.
31:32 I love the vaccinator to death and recognize the reference to Array7's Post-Tough-Break Vaccinator video.
"playing against the vaccinator"
Enforcer
Nice video! I've been experimenting with the Overdose and vaccinator for a Sonic medic loadout.
Fun fact: I named my Vaccinator "it is now illegal for to die" because you won't, not with this thing and a crossbow
Very in depth, ive recently picked up using the Vaccinator and this just makes me wanna commit to it more often. Thank you so much for this extremely useful info. ❤
36:47 nice headshot I guess
Just found your channel. Quality tf2 content in 2021 isn't as easy to find as I hoped it would be. Thanks for existing
Oh I love this thing. You get laughs and cries of desperation from the enemy team in equal amounts when you show up with this, and those laughs quickly dissapear after you wipe them out from the face of the earth with a competent Heavy or Pyro.
As for binds, I can offer you a very simple and useful one, that simply skips a resistance in the cycle, and a "panic button" that automatically deploys all 3 shields in case of emergency:
bind "MOUSE3" "panicshield"
bind "e" doubleload
alias doubleload "+reload; wait 5; -reload; wait 5; +reload; wait 5; -reload"
alias panicshield "+attack2; wait 5; +reload; wait 5; -reload; wait 5; +reload; wait 5; -reload; wait 5; +reload; wait 5; -reload; wait5; -attack2"
I never call for Medic so I got used to E for reload and R for double reload, but for this simplified bind I left R untouched.
The vac is the frekin best against bots ngl because you can deny them with one bullet uber
That flowchart segment had me laughing out loud. Excellent video o7
I am a long time Medic main, I chose Not to use the vacc until now so I can focus on getting better with the core gameplay of the class for the longest time. Your video inspired me to Finally give this weapon a go, thanks!
Your channel is the best man
How's it going with the Vacc?
I'm a new player but enjoy playing medic, thanks for the good info and inspiration. Those plays were insane!
someone in my discord recommended this, I was not disappointed, both thumbs up!
also hail forg
"If this video gets 500 views..." I'm glad you hit your goal man
Vax = good
Masayoshi Takanaka = also good
YES!!!! A NEW VIDEO ABOUT THE VACCINATOR THATS GOOD IN 2021. THANK GOD! And great background music too!
Thank you for this guide, I'm a fairly new Medic-Main and it helped a ton!
Slow growth.
youll get it rollin in no time - Bobby B
You forgot to talk about it but the axtinguisher in it's current form actually transfers afterburner damage to melee damage making it better than most against vaccinators
I love to use this medigun and hate to fight against it, a really high skill medic can shatter an entire pub with it, but i kinda respect because of the practice you'll need.
i main vacc med, and this medigun very well compliments the solemn vow, and the issue of "my team wont protect me"
This medigun has taken me from liking medic to adoring him, but be aware, the skill ceiling for this weapon is a lot higher than the other mediguns
Edit: this was made before i watched the vid
23:45 I come back to this video because "You got me for another fire? *Holiday Punch crit* F-ing moron" gets me every time.
One time I was playing Medic with Quick-Fix, and I hit a crusaders crossbow shot at all of the corners in the building of the capture point and managed to hit the spy that I saw cloak away.
I bonded with this weapon and i was a noob so i loved this weapon, the fact that u can uber 4 times thats a jack of all trades
"If the guy is your pocket and whines if you heal other players, tell them to shut the fuck up"
Some general medic tips for every medigun spread about in here, I see.
I like it because it is flexible and not so one-sided like the other medi guns.
7:14 don't you just love when pyros do that?
The fact that a profession kills treat vaccinator is an insane cheaper option compared to other medi-guns due to being so underused.
21:55 The chart is unnecessary, the brain was evolved to pick up on suntle cues and learning from them.
E.x. being when to crossbow or when to beam.
It's still a nice chart to get started and maybe speed up the process of learning but maybe not entirely nessesary
It's more showing how vac decision making is complicated
Probably the most overpowered medigun when played perfectly, it's biggest feature is it invalidates other mediguns. It also invalidates the Heavy, Sniper, and Demoman classes the hardest.
As a vac med main, I say pretty much sums it up. A good vac med is the same as a cracked sniper. Sometimes, you're better off with a re Q.
34:40 that explains a lot, only watched 3/4th of video before getting too exited
This medigun is incredibly fun to use
mans really dropped a flow chart like that and didnt leave a link to it
It’s good to know there are people out there who know how to use the vaccinator the RIGHT way
I love the Vacc I have not played TF2 long but I do have decent reaction time from playing other games. It feels like it was yesterday (because it was) where I got my first godlike by pushing with my entire team and obliterating the enemy.
This has to be the best Focusing Medi gun for my 3rd loadout.
This helped alot!
You can also Buble several teammates in quick succession, nothin instill the fear of god on your enemies like 3 bubbled heavies coming out of the gates shrugging off explosions all around them
I just stumbled apon this vid thru recommended and, wow man, surprised your sub count is so low! This content was educational AND super funny, you had me in stitches in a few spots, and now you have me inspired to go back to using my old favourite medigun!! Much love.
I used to not understand why people hated the phlog so much. Then I started playing tf2
At 200 hours you probably know so much your not improving or your one of the people who has thousands of hours but still suck
@@whydoiexist2180 I'm also purposely aggressive, trying to get melee kills, cool crossbow shots, etc, that I die quite often, and can't pop ubers because I never have it.
