@@ludwigiapilosa508 finally, someone who agrees with me. Ubersaw is the most overrated weapon in tf2. To make use of it, you need to melee someone AND survive. 1st, you shouldn't even be hitting people with your melee as a medic. 2nd, these situations rarely even come. People like to hate on the amputator because it's use "rarely even comes", but as a medic main who has already used both melees for quite some time, I made use of the amputator way more often than the ubersaw. I do agree that the amputator is underpowered. If they made it so that you can move while taunting with it, it would be almost perfectly balanced (at least in casual). But, to be honest, medic doesn't really have a great melee, only ok ones
Victor Raposo - Yeah, your main job as a medic is to heal people. That's impossible to do when you're dead. A good way to become dead is to engage in melee fights with the enemy. Everyone knows how wonky the melee hit registration is and you can never quite be sure what will happen. Even though there are those cases where you know you'll probably get away with it, it's pretty frequently just not worth the risk. I have the strange part Allied Healing Done on both my crossbow and amputator and get around 85% as much healing with the latter. You can build uber with amputator and even get assists that way, so why not? I get killed a lot less often amputator taunting that trying to melee, even though I use it fairly aggressively. I don't think it's really underpowered but I do wish they got rid of the gradual build up to the max health regeneration. That was kind of a secret nerf. But if they want to buff it, I won't complain.
This video covered literally everything that I like about the Quick Fix, even things I didn't know about, I like the Quick Fix because it's more supportive.
he forgot about quickfix on koth maps, what use is a regular uber on a hecking koth map when you can glue your shoes to the point and barf out a bajillion health while capping
It’s the perfect defensive tool. When you’re tanking a ton of damage on the defence, it keeps people alive, and the uber on the QF essentially tops up your entire team’s health.
quickfix is for medics who dont want their whole team dead, or themselves dead, or their favorite pocket dead, you always feel like a failure if you pop a regular uber just to _keep someone alive_ cause those are supposed to be offensive, not defensive
I love the quick fix. When I use any other medi-gun, I feel like I’m only playing for the Uber. But the quick fix feels like I’m always on top of everything.
By far my favorite Medi-Gun ever. You basically give up the full invulnerability of stock Über and half the overheal to do your job better. And hey, it's charge negates knockback so there's that too.
Your editing is on point, you are funny, and your weapon breakdowns are really good. You are genuinely my favorite tf2 youtuber, you are underrated as hell. It's a shame that RUclips is burying your vids. :( I have the notification bell on and everything and RUclips still refuses to show me your videos.
As a player of both Competitive and Casual, I can say that the Quick-Fix is really good in a casual setting, and a competitive 6’s setting. The flash healing is really good when pushing in to the final point
Super late to this ik, but another thing that I have noticed playing is that you actually mirror scout movement speed when you heal them. So if you happen to die and respawn, try to find a scout also respawning if they are and use them to run to the battlefield slightly quicker if there are no friendly engies around.
Quick fix is like any other medigun depends on your playstyle:stock- you pocketing heavies or plogistinator pyros, quick fix to heal your entire team and keep them all healthy when they all somewhere near you, kritzkrieg to pocket soldiers or demos to destroy your enemy's aaaaand vacinatoooor... it's just stock but worse.Quick fix is different, other mediguns we only be useful only for pocketing when being bad at healing your team when quick fix is complete opposite.
Usually in pubs , if there is a medic with either uber or kritz , I would play medic with quick fix to act as a supporting medic. Staying slightly behind the frontline to provide heals and reduce the down time of team mates.
One bonus thing about the quick fix vs stock, is that even if you use it like the stock Uber, the fact that you ARE killable definitely makes the enemy team act differently. With a stock Uber push or hold, usually the enemy team runs and scatters because they KNOW they CAN'T kill you. This is nice, but they're still alive, just around a corner waiting for your Uber to end. A quick fix Uber, they KNOW they MIGHT kill you, so they're much more likely to focus fire on you and your Uber target, rather than run away. In my experience, they rarely have enough raw dps to do so without a sniper or spy. This means that they're easy pickings for the rest of your (fully healed) team to wipe out while they desperately try to kill the quick fix Uber pair, so long as you keep an eye on the kill feed for enemy sniper deaths. A little psychology goes a long way.
Also, my favorite quick fix Uber target by far is a pyro. Having Uber up so fast and watching a pyro run up to a sentry nest with no knock back and burn the engineer and his toys to a crisp is the moment I knew I preferred this to stock 90% of the time
The only thing I dislike about the Quick-Fix is that it mirrors blast jumps. More often than not, I'll be surprised or generally unprepared when a soldier decides to pogo jump with high explosives, and I'll be thrown in the wrong direction or just end up out of reach of the target, leaving me defenseless, or in the worst case, I just go flying off the cliff and die, losing any ubercharge I had stored up. I love everything else about the Quick-Fix, but this one attribute is frustrating and less useful than it seems on paper.
I'm seriously impressed by the Zero Mission sequence. Medic pulls off the graceful pose surprisingly well, followed up by a perfect integration of the mercs into a rapturous, nostalgic scene about unlocking one's true potential. I never thought I'd see TF2 and Metroid of all things be combined in such a fitting manner. Great Work. Oh, and you also taught me some really useful things about the Quick Fix. Thanks for that, too.
The other advantage is that you get actively healed by your Charge, with the Stock you get "only" invisible, but you will stay low-hp if you activated the charge while being low.
The thing nobody realizes about a quick fix uber is that it isn't as flashy s other uber charges. People run away from kritz and stock charges, but don't run from a quick fix charge
The quick-fix is usable, but there are other problems with its usage that aren't explored. The weapon is quite simply put very inconsistent at pushing caps or chokes in pubs. In 6s it's banned because it's OP in that format to the point where one med using it forces the other med to use it, same reason as the Vacc. In pubs or in highlander, the pick classes like spy and sniper can shut you down entirely. The enemy med switching to Kritz, which has a similar charge rate, will also counter a quick-fix because all the heal rate in the world won't heal you from a direct crit pipe; same thing would apply to sticky stacking or an enemy phlog pocket or the random machina sniper hiding in the corner of the map. Trying to push payload last points in pubs with a quick-fix is often torturous if there is a soldier/demo kritz pocket, or a phlog getting pocketed by a vacc or stock. In pubs there's also random crits to consider. The same issues apply to using the weapon while on the defensive, but it's mitigated by being covered by sentries and other defense orient classes like heavy or pyro.
Exactly. Just wanna add to this that in HL, you don't even need pick classes or a kritz uber to shut down a quick fix, all you need is good coordination and focus fire. If you get everyone to just shoot at either the medic or his patient, they'll die regardless of the faster healing rate.
People didnt understand This gun. It's not like you can pocket someone. It won't work. It's supposed to be a Team-Support instead of pocketing. It's bad if used as a pocket tool.
Hello. I know you won't read this but...thanks you. First you say about quickfix, then about overdose and amputator. This is exactly my loadout. I am glad that someone is on my meta alternative side. I appreciate this.
I would switch out the overdose with the crusaders crossbow, I know it’s the meta but when I use the quick fix my brain thinks “I must maximize healing” and so an extra way to heal from long range is really helpful, also I use the amp just so I don’t die as much so I can heal more.
@@nobody-cj8il I don't use crossbow in 2 reasons: 1: it is meta and I hate it. I want to be at least somewhat unique. I am playing tf2, not clone wars. 2: I can't aim at all, that's why I went for medic. And to help people. By the way, it is more effective faster running to heal them with medigun or taunt with amputator if teammates in bunch. And I even capped Intel thanks to overdose. Imagine little bit slower scout but with 150 hp, self healing, faster firing speed that can become invincible for 8 seconds. This can be new subclass. Mediscout.

The Quick Fix is also pretty amazing in Mann Vs Machine, as not only do you get faster revives and shield charges, but the knockback immunity with its Ubercharge becomes invaluable against the robots (both big and small) that throw around a lot of knockback.
Your editing is so amazing. You deserve way, way more subs and views. This was amazing. Well explained, well edited, and changed my mind in the quick fix. Keep up the great work, man.
I remembered that In my older days, I use Quick Fix as my main weapon. Hence I like to keep my team alive. But due to the nerf from Jungle Inferno update, I stop using it for a while. Then I realized that it still useable so I go back and use it, switching Quickfix and Kritz time to time. For defense, if my team can manage health very well, I’ll use Stock. If my team is horrible at managing their health or dying too fast, my Quick Fx can do as that. But for an offense, I use Kritz first and while traveling when it is too far away from spawn room, I’ll use Quick Fix so my team still able to pushing the Cart effectively. So basically my new Medic Main Playstyle is to use 3 Mediguns in a single match
It let's medic do what he was meant to do and that's heal, it let's him heal more people faster and left's him get into the fight faster and do what he was built to do.
The metroid animated sequence is the best thing I've seen today. You gained an instant like and subscribe just for that..Overall, really good video, keep going! 👍
As a medic main, the worst thing is when I join a game there's already 2 medics in play, because I always tell myself that 3 or more medics is too much lol
I fucking love the quick fix, it’s so good at chokepoints and when you combo it with the amputator you can hide in cover while your team covers the choke and spam taunt, build Uber during the downtime and then have it in your pocket for when the enemy demo starts bombing and things so you can get your team back up to fill in no time.
I like using the quick-fix and the amputator on the payload when there is another medic using the META so that I can use my stuff to keep everyone alive on the cart while he builds Uber and then he can push with a soldier, demo or heavy
The only reason why the quick-fix is banned in competitive 6's is because Medics have a "get out of jail free" card by riding blast jumps in and out with their pocket, making pushes next to impossible to pull off a medic pick, slowing the game down immensely. The mobility it grants the medic is way to strong. Aside from that, damage rates are so high that there is largely no difference between stock and the quick fix. You do heal faster, but with less overheal, it's all around weaker than stock in faster paced 6's games. Chip damage from scouts/spam prevents crit heals to top off health pools. Lower overall health pools without higher overheal makes it harder to deal with the higher burst damage from pushes. Yes, you build Uber faster, but all someone needs to do is run sniper or spy to pick the med, just as they would with a normal stalemate using stock. Or, during a quick fix Uber push, a well timed bomb, sticky trap, sniper, spy, etc would be more than enough to stop it. But the fact the medic can coordinate with a pocket to relocate himself, at any time, around the map means that the medic becomes WAY harder to kill, which slows the game down because health gets replenished faster, and the source of that health doesn't get taken down nearly as often.
my problem is with the people that use it rather than the medigun it self. they're bad medics who don't utilize it's fast heals and just pocket the top scoring damage class
benefits of the quick fix like faster healing can be substituted with good use of the Crusader's crossbow, if you can hit your shots at close range you're better off with any other medigun unless you are specifically looking for the quick fix's uber charge
The medigun is much, much stronger than the quick fix only in 3 situations: 1. When combined with very strong use of crossbow, which stomps the non-uber healing/second of the quick fix. 2. When pushing chokes. 3. When countering kritz.
I haven't used the Quick Fix since its release, so stuff like 50% overheal didn't exist back then (infact it had zero overheal), but as a medic main this is what I like about the Quick-fix: it's a pushing monster, and you being able to heal so fast in such a short time allows you to push so much, it's amazing.

@@Newbmann Have you heard of highlander? Had a medic who was adamant about using the quickfix, which wasn't banned, and dear god was it bad.

I use the amputator and even I know it's a fucking joke

@Zesty Jesus are your nuts okay
Jesus, it's amazing how much effort went into the ubercharge section with Metroid. It looks so good.
Super late to this ik, but another thing that I have noticed playing is that you actually mirror scout movement speed when you heal them. So if you happen to die and respawn, try to find a scout also respawning if they are and use them to run to the battlefield slightly quicker if there are no friendly engies around.
The helvetica standart bit was BEAUTIFUL
You know where it's from
Quick fix is like any other medigun depends on your playstyle:stock- you pocketing heavies or plogistinator pyros, quick fix to heal your entire team and keep them all healthy when they all somewhere near you, kritzkrieg to pocket soldiers or demos to destroy your enemy's aaaaand vacinatoooor... it's just stock but worse.Quick fix is different, other mediguns we only be useful only for pocketing when being bad at healing your team when quick fix is complete opposite.
Having Uber up so fast and watching a pyro run up to a sentry nest with no knock back and burn the engineer and his toys to a crisp is the moment I knew I preferred this to stock 90% of the time
I can not hear AfterBreakfast thru his voice now somehow

Great Work.

Quick fix is great for battle medic since you can heal teammates quick then go back to offense
I love your voice. Your editing is impeccable. The Metroid music is the icing on the cake.
Thank you for the comment, very informative :)
Exactly. Just wanna add to this that in HL, you don't even need pick classes or a kritz uber to shut down a quick fix, all you need is good coordination and focus fire. If you get everyone to just shoot at either the medic or his patient, they'll die regardless of the faster healing rate.
The worse your team is, the better the quickfix is
People didnt understand This gun.
Mediscout.
@@tamirlanilasov8357 true, but the main reason I really like it really is because I don’t like automatic weapons really, there will always be exceptions like with the flame thrower and miniguns because there’s nothing that could really replace them in my opinion.

The editing alone is golden
Quick fix is by far my favourite, mostly on defence, but also at the attack, your team just doesn't die. I've carried whole games like that

Simply overheal is for frontline medics, kritzkrieg and vaccinator for pushes and stock for backline medic
Dunno, the qf is really good on back line and mid. Doesn’t have the power to sustain that well.
"He can only heal one person at a time" *laughs in amputator*
I fucking love the quick fix, it’s so good at chokepoints and when you combo it with the amputator you can hide in cover while your team covers the choke and spam taunt, build Uber during the downtime and then have it in your pocket for when the enemy demo starts bombing and things so you can get your team back up to fill in no time.

"You heal more quickly"
*wow if only we had a single word that described doing something more quickly*
The reason the quick fix should be meta beacause medic uses it in the meet the medic
The quick fix: the medic's ubercharge
I like using the quick-fix and the amputator on the payload when there is another medic using the META so that I can use my stuff to keep everyone alive on the cart while he builds Uber and then he can push with a soldier, demo or heavy
YES! YES! YES! THANK YOU! FINALLY!
-Some idiot with a strange killstreak quick-fix that is in no way related to me at all whatsoever
Zesty: uses overdose
Arrayseven: you know the rules. its time to die
my problem is with the people that use it rather than the medigun it self. they're bad medics who don't utilize it's fast heals and just pocket the top scoring damage class
Quik-fix is legitimately my favorite item in the entire game.
Agreed
I absolutely love the metroid video edits / references here. That quick fix Uber part gave me a large smile I needed lol

benefits of the quick fix like faster healing can be substituted with good use of the Crusader's crossbow, if you can hit your shots at close range you're better off with any other medigun unless you are specifically looking for the quick fix's uber charge
I’m really gonna need an explanation for 9:53 lol
This was amazing. Proud I have a pro ks one now. Lots of hard work clearly went into this, great job man!
The medigun is much, much stronger than the quick fix only in 3 situations:
