+FrankJavCee you were looking through my playlists again weren't you, YOU'RE NOT AS HIPSTER AS I. I'll concede the swag game though, you have that on lock down.
MY FUCKING GOD, FINALLY SOMEONE! Bro, I presented this to lots of people and they never connected this to SNES/PS1 RPGs... And for me it's sooo connected! The first songs of this album are very rpgistic for me. Also remembers me Ragnarok Online, which is a MMORPG, but uses this kind of themes. Well, at least I'm happy that I am not crazy and that there are other people who understands this way.
Thiago Pereira can you show me which songs from final fantasy, that you believe reminds you of this, because I really like this song, and would love to hear more that sounds like it:)
Nomalizo! That's what I was thinking of!! Thank you!! Trust RUclips comment section 👌 Also I swear there are some keyboard lines in here which directly quote other songs.
I need more of this kind of músic plz, plz guys! share me something, i haven't heard song like this in todd's albums, except Musktabalbla. Another bands, or songs, very welcome
This is a genre I can only call 'Dorktown BGM'. I'm not sure if Jon and Alex have put it over a Google Earth animation yet, but I can easily see how they could.
no, no - the term "documentary" implies the depiction of factual events, because those films are usually non-fiction (I say usually only because there are a few hybrid-genre films that read like creative non-fiction), and though "Whateverest" is a fantastic short, the main character is just that, a fictional character. the emotional depth of Whateverest is intense (and amplified by the illusion of factual documentary) but it becomes easier to watch once you know that his sufferings are not factual (however, one could argue that this is irrelevant, since his story of dreams squashed by misfortune and disaster in personal lives is the factual circumstances of millions of people - sad, isn't it?)
EasymotherfuckingCP It's clearly the sample used in this track... Letta Mbulu owns the original track. Do a little research before opening you shit smelling mouth.
Herp derp, you hear an ascending/descending melody and conclude that the entire track is a ripoff of something from 1985. Apart from that little bit - which, by the way, is so common in this genre as to make it irrelevant - there is nothing much else in this track that is a direct sample of the track you posted.
I think the reason everyone is flabbergasted with you was cause of your wording. You said "Still a great job", which could be mistaken as you saying "You did something wrong, but it's still a great job." I've got nothing against what you said, just wanted to point out where all the hostility was coming from.
No se porque, pero me recuerda el cover que hizo LISA STANFIELD de "NEVER NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP", Aunque el tempo es diferente, los arreglos parecieran tener alguna conexión
Todd Terje jeg liker dine produksjoner, du er vel ikke utdannet på Academy of fine arts and music i LA , N.Y, er du vel ?....Og har du også laget de geniale illustrasjoner til dine låter ?

Sampled Letta Mbulu - Nomalizo
Great use!
love that track, golden all on its own
+leguaani123 Not a sample, though maybe inspired by - it also reminds me of Brian Bennett's 'Solstice'. I'm sure TT knows both tracks
+leguaani123 Also had the same impression, but maybe he just took the idea and redid the synths.
I asked him and he said that yes, Solstice was ''pretty much his blueprint''
richidpraah shaaaaaabammmmmmmmm, lol ....u WERE RIGHT FAM ;)

The transitions are incredible

Sounds like something that could be in the company of Ronnie Laws, or even Heatwave. It's totally awesome.

Letta Mbulu - Nomalizo
Still a great job from Mr. Terje
