In February 2016 Midland made his contribution to the hugely influential BBC Essential Mix series. The end of the mix came in the shape of an unreleased track that would go on to soundtrack dance floors and festivals the world over. That track was 'Final Credits.' Since its creation in the depths of winter to its vinyl release in June, with weekly airings everywhere from Panorama Bar to DC10 to Dekmantel Festival, the record has united dance floors and become one of the most unlikely tracks of the year. As the summer disappeared, calls for a full release of 'Final Credits' have swelled, and now, thanks to The Classic Music Company we're delighted to say this is becoming a reality.

I played this as my last track ( obviously) in November 2019 in New Orleans at 5 or 6am (was tired) after a nice long techno set at TECHNO CLUB. It's a highlight of my small dj career. I flew down from Montreal for the gig. I still get goosebumps. BEAUTIFUL.

If you found this boring, its probably because you are listening this at the wrong scenario (at the comfort of your sofa I'm guessing), but this is MEANT to be heard at the end of a great party, when everybody has given everything on the dancefloor.. then this just sounds EPIC.

Great tune whatever part of night it's played, on the sofa, in your bedroom. Just got that great sound and nice vocal.
Easily deserves to at least be up there as track of the year, exact placing is subjective. Couldn't stop dancing around my kitchen when it first dropped and no song better invokes memories of the festivals of the summer. The perfect end of set track.
Think I heard this at least 3 times at Farr festival last year.
It's like this tune doesn't want to say goodbye and comes back on, trying to delay the inevitable parting. We've all been there.

@@TheFunkloft you realise this tune is still being pumped out by world class djs every week, just because it is sampled (perfectly) doesn't mean it will go out of fashion anytime soon. Lee Alfred's record is by no means a popular record and even if it were it wouldn't make the slightest difference

The lyrics have actually been adapted from an old slow jam from 1973 by Gladys Knight and the Pips. If you haven't heard it before, I HIGHLY recommend it! Neither One Of Us (Wants To Be The First To Say Goodbye).

Heard this for the 1st time by complete chance yesterday, my 6 year old loves the song on Fifa 19 'Beat 54' by jungle.. So I played it on iPad for him he walked off as it finished, after an advert, this absolute masterpiece followed it automatically. Heard it in the week of the original 1st release - Koze version in Zagreb...in a literal house - which was a club called Das Haus , one of the greatest shithole dumps... our favourite places!!!
A German DJ guest let it played. The whole club was - JUST STUNNED !!!
PS. Das Haus had literally a bathroom, left intentionally with a bathtub there and even a bathtub curtain! 😂😂😂
