When I was a kid, I was called a “tomboy”. In the 1960’s that’s what girls who were athletic, liked playing outdoors, hiking, fishing etc. were called. If I were a child now, I think I would be told that I’m a boy not a girl. Turns out I grew into an athletic, outdoor loving young woman. I can’t imagine how horrible my life would be based on today’s standards. I love being a woman, wife and mother!
I was born in the 80s. I've always been a tomboy and the rough n tumble sort. Always bruised scraped and cut up from slipping falling crawling into or under bushes etc. I work with my hands outdoors. I wore boys clothes more often than not when I was growing up. I still do, although pants are pretty difficult to get them to fit right. I wear mens cologne and mens deodorant. And guess what? I'm still female and not a single person whose met me thinks otherwise. I've often wondered if the trans agenda had been this prevalent when I was younger, if someone would've tried to convince me I was actually a boy. Just because you like things that are geared for the opposite sex doesnt mean that you're trapped in the wrong body. it just means you are your own person and free to choose what you like.

Exactly. State charged me for my first and fourth grade boys, straight A students staying home too much to spend time with their dying grandma. Picked up work, made sure it was done. Still put on probation for 3 months, 25 hours community service, 12 weeks of "parenting classes"!!! Cost me a lot of time and about 1500 dollars for the nonsense!!! She confessed in April, was sentenced in august 2022, but doesn’t have to report to you 60 jail time until June of 2023z The reason for her delayed jail start and short sentence? She just gave birth and the courts won’t keep a woman that sleep with little kids from raising her own little kid.

There are legitimately trans people out there, but it is very rare. We have a friend of the family who is trans. She was trans long before it was cool or trendy. What is happening now days actually hurts people who truly have gender dysphoria.

I used to be a tomboy. During high-school suddenly people started telling me that I was a lesbian or nonbinary because I was a female and liked to dress more boyish and do more boyish things. I would adamantly tell them I am a straight female. That is that. And they would continue pushing it and try to convince me I was someone who I wasn't. (I went to high school 2014-2018 when this stuff was really starting to blow up in the media.) I'm glad I have very old school no-nonsense Hispanic parents that did not give in to the things people were saying and started forcing me to be who I wasn't. I grew out of being a tomboy, I'm more of girly girl now. Kids usually grow out of those kinds of phases. And even if they don't, liking something that is more closely related to the opposite gender does not mean they are suddenly that gender
My daughter is the same. Just wants to dress like her friends who are boys and always has. We shouldn't push our kids to give themselves labels, nor label them. Let them dress how they want and gender doesn't make a difference.

I was thinking a kid that age should be capable of better speech. Either the kid is hesitant because he dont agree with what he is pushed into or his mom is more worried about pressing her agenda than teaching the boy how to talk. Parents should help children learn how to speak not what to speak.

When I was around 7 years old, I dressed and acted like a boy! I even made my mom cut off my long hair. I agree. If you saw someone messing their kid up physically in public, someone would probably intervene. But do it mentally or emotionally, its no problem. But it could be because its such a slippery slope. This is so disheartening, I’ve seen a similar situation with one of my oldest friends from back in high school. Probably about a dozen years ago I told my wife that my old friend from high school who is a lesbian, really seems to hate men on a level that I think is unhealthy for her son. And I told her it seems to me like she dresses her son in a way that you can’t tell that he’s a boy and that she’s gonna make him hate himself when he gets older. My wife told me I might be over thinking things… Fast forward to a couple years ago my friend came out with her wife announcing that their son was transitioning into a woman. And just to be clear I have no problem with anyone being Whoever they want to be, but that situation to me felt like it was nurtured and molded into this result. Later I found out after first thinking this that others were also thinking the same….so sad if that’s in fact what happened, and do believe that is what happened.😕
I wanted to be a boy from the time I was 7 yrs. to about 12 yrs. I dressed and acted like a boy and even insisted people call me "Joe". My parents let me. The only time they insisted I wear a dress was to Sunday morning church service, otherwise, I made my own wardrobe decisions. Just before my teen years, I decided it was more fun being a girl after all; I was BORED with the "boy stuff". I'm very grateful Mom & Dad didn't make an issue of it either way. It would have been a tragedy if they'd pushed guilt because I thought I wanted to be a boy, or pushed hormones and "gender reassignment" ideas in my head during that time. A lot of kids have this experience. It's easier to be a male. What does THAT tell you? However, lets' be clear that's what therapists are for, to distinguish from a 'phase' and whether there is a matter of being transgender involved. I allowed my daughter to be who she wanted to be but did not push it or dictate it. She played full gear football in middle school and was one of the best players on the team. She preferred short hair and definitely boyish clothes. She is almost 30 now so it was a few years ago for middle and high school. But we never discussed with her being transgender. She was just who she was. We still support her today being who she wants to be but we never coached her or put labels on her.

When I was a kid, I was called a “tomboy”. In the 1960’s that’s what girls who were athletic, liked playing outdoors, hiking, fishing etc. were called. If I were a child now, I think I would be told that I’m a boy not a girl. Turns out I grew into an athletic, outdoor loving young woman. I can’t imagine how horrible my life would be based on today’s standards. I love being a woman, wife and mother!

I was born in the 80s. I've always been a tomboy and the rough n tumble sort. Always bruised scraped and cut up from slipping falling crawling into or under bushes etc. I work with my hands outdoors. I wore boys clothes more often than not when I was growing up. I still do, although pants are pretty difficult to get them to fit right. I wear mens cologne and mens deodorant. And guess what? I'm still female and not a single person whose met me thinks otherwise. I've often wondered if the trans agenda had been this prevalent when I was younger, if someone would've tried to convince me I was actually a boy. I have rarely met one person from the left (I had many friends who are on that side) who hasn’t screwed their kid(s) up in one way or another. most of them aren’t to the extreme like this, but it’s the fact that they don’t believe in the family unit and family structure. I used to be a tomboy. During high-school suddenly people started telling me that I was a lesbian or nonbinary because I was a female and liked to dress more boyish and do more boyish things. I would adamantly tell them I am a straight female. That is that. And they would continue pushing it and try to convince me I was someone who I wasn't. (I went to high school 2014-2018 when this stuff was really starting to blow up in the media.) I'm glad I have very old school no-nonsense Hispanic parents that did not give in to the things people were saying and started forcing me to be who I wasn't. This is so disheartening, I’ve seen a similar situation with one of my oldest friends from back in high school. Probably about a dozen years ago I told my wife that my old friend from high school who is a lesbian, really seems to hate men on a level that I think is unhealthy for her son. And I told her it seems to me like she dresses her son in a way that you can’t tell that he’s a boy and that she’s gonna make him hate himself when he gets older. My wife told me I might be over thinking things… Fast forward to a couple years ago my friend came out with her wife announcing that their son was transitioning into a woman.
And just to be clear I have no problem with anyone being Whoever they want to be, but that situation to me felt like it was nurtured and molded into this result. I wanted to be a boy from the time I was 7 yrs. to about 12 yrs. I dressed and acted like a boy and even insisted people call me "Joe". My parents let me. The only time they insisted I wear a dress was to Sunday morning church service, otherwise, I made my own wardrobe decisions. Just before my teen years, I decided it was more fun being a girl after all; I was BORED with the "boy stuff". I'm very grateful Mom & Dad didn't make an issue of it either way.

A lot of kids have this experience. It's easier to be a male. What does THAT tell you? However, lets' be clear that's what therapists are for, to distinguish from a 'phase' and whether there is a matter of being transgender involved. That such a science has evolved and is evolving, doesn't seem to matter to some people. We don't actually know how many of the kids/teens in this craze are gonna regret it as adults; we won't know that for 5-10 years. Gender dysphoria is a real condition, and sufferers need help. In rare cases, transitioning is necessary. But since true gender dysphoria occurs in less than 2% of people, and less than 1% of that needs to transition, there's clearly more to this boom than 'religious people just not catching up.' You're using old data to downplay the current rate of detransitioners and Wokehausens patients. Isn't that just as dishonest as you're accusing others of being?
I allowed my daughter to be who she wanted to be but did not push it or dictate it. She played full gear football in middle school and was one of the best players on the team. She preferred short hair and definitely boyish clothes. She is almost 30 now so it was a few years ago for middle and high school. But we never discussed with her being transgender. She was just who she was. We still support her today being who she wants to be but we never coached her or put labels on her.
