    Love mine. Just keep in mind that you HAVE to keep the lines clear of debris and it does require minor maintenance. Had to work with Quickjack to order updated filters for my the pump. Fortunately, the repairs and maintenance are fairly simple, just hope the parts are available (had to wait months for the filter due to production/covid)

Oh, and regarding the “scissor” effect of the lift getting your car too close to the garage door, just swap the rails to the opposite side so the scissor motion is in the opposite direction.... Have fun wrenching now...!!

    By the way if anyone reads my comment in 2023, you don't need to convert your BMW lifting pads to be flat or anything. The BMW lifting blocks are already designed to have a flat surface press on them. Yes there is a hole but that's just the way it is and how your car is lifted at the dealer for example. No need for an adapter.

    Just recently I was looking at this product for home use. I think it would work great for most maintenance. The draw backs that I see is the price, about $1000, storage of the unit and time to setup and knock down. That $1000 would pay for many small maintenance jobs like oil changes and tire changes.

    Agree. Don't know why I waited so long to buy them. My son does a lot of work on our cars and manually jacking one side/putting on a stand was not only time consuming, I was always concerned about the safety factor. Now with the quick jacks, I've even changed the snows/summers on my F82 myself rather than waiting for him to do it. Only complaint I have is I haven't come up with a good solution for sliding them in/out without scratching up the epoxy coating on the garage floor. Curious if a plastic floor system could handle the QJ sliding on them. Anyway, great video.

    • @Viper3870750
      @Viper3870750 Год назад

      Hey I know this is an old comment but just in case you still have your QJ and haven't figured out an easier way for sliding them in/out to/from the vehicle, there's videos on RUclips of guys installing a set of casters on the bottom of each QJ. I've seen a video of a guy installing typical caster wheels and another guy bought some ball bearing caster wheels. Both guys simply 3M taped them on the bottom of each QJ and ziptied them. You would think the car would roll around after it's been lifted off of the ground but if you mount the casters in the right spot, they'll raise up off of the ground too. It's pretty genius actually.

    I bought the 7000TL when it first came out and I'd call it ok if you're lucky and get one without a defective air cylinder. If you do get one of those you're screwed - the company will 100% not stand behind their product. They'll claim the air-assist down isn't "necessary to the function of the lift". Really? So if one side has air assist down and the other doesn't, and they drop unevenly, that's safe? And then when the vehicle drops to the ground and one side of the lift goes straight to the full down position while the other... doesn't. You need to wait... and wait... and wait for it to drop with no weight on it. Quickjack will claim this "is normal operation" and that "it will get better over time". If you invest a massive amount of time trying to get them to stand behind their product they will, eventually, after burning through every once of customer goodwill, send out a new cylinder. Yay! Until you get the replacement and the freakin' air side is literally capped off. Like intentionally made unusable. That's not a fix guys. Then they'll claim that the engineers decided the down-assist wasn't necessary and that they've changed the design on future models. But I didn't buy a future model with less functionality. I bought the current model with exactly the functionality I wanted, was promised, and paid for. Whatever. Too much time wasted on it already - I've written off the entire company as another skanky marketing hack with no integrity. I still have it in my shop, but the company worked very hard to make me regret my purchase and it low-key pisses me off every time I look at it.

    You have your QuickJacks setup backwards , The left one should be on the right side and the right should be on the left side of the car with the rams pushing the jack up towards the front of the car....very common mistake.
