What is Direct Burial?

A direct burial is when we pick up your loved one from the place of passing, we then place them into a casket that you select, and then we go to the cemetery the same day or the next day.
A direct burial is typically no visitation, no services, just a simple graveside service.
Direct Burial is priced differently from the typical funeral. With a direct burial embalming is not necessary, even dressing is not necessary. There is no visitation, there is no funeral. It's very simple, a direct burial is very simple.

Straight forward explanation. Following in family tradition, i have arranged for my pre-paid direct fire cremation when I pass. I was unaware that there was a direct burial. Thank you.

My father forced to me ask a county coroner for this even before he died. I felt like a vulture. I was asked by him to do this. This is what he wanted and what he received.

Why did you feel like a vulture? At the end of our days, we may choose a practical, no frills burial. I'm glad there is a choice.
