@@thezakkuhnshow yep. Keith is a fascinating guy. Extremely well read. We communicate about all things music and guitar. He is incredibly supportive of my humble little IG page. I kept seeing him with these beautiful guitars and I thought lets see what he can do with this piece of firewood. Of course he turned it into incredible content. 5W is def on it’s way up.

@@thezakkuhnshow I was going to say Tommy Emmanuel, but then I thought for your generation, Joe Robinson, another Aussie...he plays Tele's a lot when not playing his own signature Maton acoustic. Has chops for days. Very disciplined. Grew up in the bush and practiced hour after hour.
Keith seems like such a decent human. That goes a long way.
From my handful of interactions with him, he’s been an awesome dude every time!

The quality of his videos is good but if you watch his video on the history of SRV’s guitars it it riddled with historical errors especially with dates, which is kind of important. It’s a shame because it undermines the credibility of the information in his videos.
It's not just that video. The general information is usually fine, but the details have a lot of errors or unfounded speculations that can be found on spots like Wikipedia.
Which dates are wrong?
@@thezakkuhnshowI only know Gibson guitars well enough to catch a lot of the errors. Every video I’ve seen that concerns archtops has errors. I also showed him sources from Gibson that showed errors in describing the origin of the mini-humbucker after he said we must be using “different source material”. That comment with the link to sources that refuted his video script was deleted.

I’m 6’2” and 245 lbs… anything besides a gretsch looks like a toy lol glad you were open minded enough to try something new that fit your needs.

@@thezakkuhnshow no I just accept the fact that I’ll look stupid playing guitar most of the time 😂 my favorite sounding and playing guitar is a Strat. I do own a VOX Bobcat that’s a Gretsch style guitar but with 3 single coils like a Strat. That’s my compromise guitar. I have a friend that plays whose 6’5” and a pretty big guy in general and even the gretsch looks small when he plays 😂
