Music is so beautiful.I love this war and peace from 2007 more than the others. To me the best scene is the last one where Pierre and Natasha find each other after the war
Clemence Poesy! So good in everything she does, from the emotional anchor to King Richard in "Richard II" to the cop with Asperger's Syndrome in "The Tunnel" Series.
First time I watched this version, when I had to read "War and Peace" at school, and obviously I didn't. I managed to read only 1st part, and I had a test, and needed to watch smth in order to pass the test. And omg, with this scene, I fell in love with this masterpiece. I was a teenager back then, and now I more and more understand how extraordinary this book 📖
This production of War and Peace is the closest to how I imagine most of the characters from the book. Aside, maybe from Kuragin and Dolokhov - they should be swapped.
It's funny this music is Aram Khachaturyan's Waltz from "Masquerade" (Lermontov's drama). And Lermontov was Tolstoy's favorite writer because of his "Hero of our time" novel (best Russian language novel as thought by Russians). But in Europe nobody knows Lermontov and they keep doing "War and Peace" and "Anna Karenina". Maybe some day they'll find a time to discover more authors than Dostoyevsky and Tolstoy. Hope is little, but thank God for Audrey Hepburn and her Natasha. Personally I would love to see some Hollywood version in the beginning of 2000s with David Duchovny as Prince Andrey and Gillian Anderson as both his first wife (Little Princess) and Natasha (I hope Chris Carter is smiling reading this I my own AU).
+Anna Katerina Nekrylova okay lermontov "hero of our time" is my next book(if i find it)thanks for sharing i didn't know or heard about him ,i will certainly read it!!
"A Hero of Our Time", to be precise. It's "the best Russian prose ever written", according to Nabokov. But he admitted that all translations suck, including his own. You can make up you mind, though)
about the waltz - it was written way after these events (in 1940s to be precise), so it couldn't possibly be at Natasha's ball, but I'm still glad they chose this musical piece!
War and peace by Alex Tolstoy a beautiful love story based on the historical period when Napoleon wanted to invade Russia the Russians had left the French if they were forced to go back because they died of cold.... as for the story of Natasha is an aristocratic count who was already married but he fell in love with her and vice versa ...... a drama was also made it was 2007 I will never forget this drama ..... it was the period that I I had to operate on my leg....
The best scene in my opinion. Thanks for uploading this. However, I personally find the same scene from the original War and Peace movie with Audrey Hepburn as Natasha and Mel Ferrer as the prince is more romantic. Maybe that's just my inner Audrey Hepburn fan speaking :)
They wouldn't be dancing to a waltz in 1812, especially at a court ball. Waltzes became popular in the 1840s and were thought quite daring at the time.
Waltz is mentioned in Goethe's Werther in 1774. In 1812, waltz was already danced in Court ball. In the novel by Tolstoi, Andrei and Natasha met dancing a waltz.
rumen junior it's not Šostakovič 😉 that's the waltz from "Masquerade" suite by Aram Chačaturjan! I know using this piece is incongruous with the setting in time of the story, but it's so enchantingly beautiful... it's a grand waltz, I think it fits the scene perfectly anyway!! 😊
Unfortunately Alessio Boni isn't "spiritual" and "intellectual" enough to be a reliable Prince Andreji. Natasha should be "dark" according to Tolstoij's description. The scene at "ralenti" is of the most awful taste. Nothing could make forget Audrey Hepburn and Mel Ferrer acting in the movie of 1956 - a real masterpiece!
Anytime Andrei smiles my heart ABSOLUTELY MELTS 💞❤️💞❤️💞
My favorite 'War and Peace' adaptation.

Clémence Poésy is exquisite in period pieces. Loved her as a queen in Gunpwder, Treason and Plot with Kevin McKidd.
She is not ugly at all! She is magnificent! I've drawn her twice! So much hunger for life in her expression
Esther Ninsiima can you share your draws
If she turns and looks for me now... omg so cute! That scene is the best in War and Peace in my opinion
La plus belle version et la plus touchante est celle-ci
This scene is the best in this version "War and Peace"
she gets him to smile again and then breaks his heart..so much for I'll wait forever for you
So much life ...and Passion.
I love this couple and I love Alessio Boni. He is awesome
…ed è bellissimo…!!!
Best Natasha and Andrey - for all times!!!❤🎉
Sonia is extraordinarily beautiful - without equal.

helen8661 You don't have to thank me. It was my pleasure, really. :))
:)
My favorite is when she meets her love in the last episode!
Amazing scene, so romantic..❤
If she turns... love is in the air
Clemence Poesy! So good in everything she does, from the emotional anchor to King Richard in "Richard II" to the cop with Asperger's Syndrome in "The Tunnel" Series.
I prefer this older version than the newest one
Me too!
Same❤
I think it's the one you see first that you prefer!
I saw this one first and I prefer it to the newer adaptation!
You need to see the 1968 Russian version.

Wonderful 💖👑👑
Love it !!!!

Masquerade Waltz - Aram Khachaturian (War and Peace 2007)
The best scene in my opinion. Thanks for uploading this. However, I personally find the same scene from the original War and Peace movie with Audrey Hepburn as Natasha and Mel Ferrer as the prince is more romantic. Maybe that's just my inner Audrey Hepburn fan speaking :)
This is wonderful where is the full version available
No COVID era😍😍❤️
Other, often much worse diseases, era: smallpox, dysentery, polio, typhoid fever, pneumonia etc.
The music by Chaikovsky born 30 years after the scene took place
Khachaturian.
What is the sonatas name?
Where can I find this series
Meravigliosi.

Хачатурян ( 1941 г ) DDD
😮🎉
Awwwwwww El Amorrrrrr !!!!
Rosaicela Madrigal love is in the air, I still searching my natasha :/
Precioso
1800-1820 years! Why Shostakovich? Why this commercial music? But better than War&Peace 2016, it's a r&b song during the valse! Disgusting!

Nene Etoile Sorry! Khachaturian of course! Stupid mistake:)
Boy, you are really going to hate Natasha Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812...
@@Dafne0325 of course, it was perfectly chosen.
Truly!
О,боже! Почему Россия испохабила все именно сейчас,когда я живу?!

I prefer this version. I think the old one with Audrey Hepburn is over acted.
natasha cant be blond
fuck you
Aram Khachaturyan’s music is great, sorry Clemence, but I can’t accept her as Natasha
very bad casting!!
