  • After sharing with you our iced coffee recipe that combines the best of Japanese iced coffee and the flash chill method, we are back with a popular request: creating an iced Aeropress recipe!
    Memli's Iced Aeropress Coffee Recipe:
    - Start by selecting a natural processed single-origin coffee beans. We used EL SALVADOR - LOS PIRINEOS HONEY
    - Grind 15g of coffee to a medium-coarse consistency
    - Prepare your Aeropress in an inverted method and Rinse your filter
    - Heat 100mL of Water at 88C
    - Start by pouring 100mL of water on the aeropress
    - Stir, place the filter and lock
    - Flip the aeropress to the receiver/cup and pull the piston to suck some air
    - Wait until 3 min
    - Press gently
    - Finish at about 3'30
    - Add 50-60g of ice cubes
    - Add 10-30 mL of room-temperature water
    - Mix and Serve
For the aeropress, we are taking the same idea as the iced coffee recipe and tweaking it to fit the aeropress brewing

Woww very similar to what i came up with using my aeropress go, just different in ratio, mine is a little bit longer with 120g of water and end cup of 180ml of beverage, but sometimes i use shorter ratio as well if i want those texture and body. Overall the process is the same and the idea is the same as well. Happy to see someone out there with the same thinking ❤❤

I make Vietnamese iced coffee in a similar way……..25 grams of coffee, 150 grams of 190 degree water (50 grams mixed in to bloom it for 10 seconds…..then the other 100 grams of water), steep for 2 minutes and press into cup containing sweetened condensed milk, stir well and pour over ice…..

Are you using "cafe du monde" or a single origin coffee? I'm curious on how can we make traditional recipes using modern style of coffee roasting
