@travelchristie recently i've begun to appreciate fantasia more- i still can't say i like her, but i don't think she sucks anymore. although, as for connecting w/the audience, fantasia didn't really connect with me. diana actually did on a few occasions.

ok i thought the contestants chose at random what order they go...guess not it seems everytime someone goes last, if they're safe, which they usuaully are, they go first the next week. diana was 12 the previous week now first. katharine of idol 5 went last top 24, first top 20, last top 7 and first top 6, daughtry first top 7, last top 6....
i think the simon was kinda unfair to her during certain performances that were excellent...i think because of her age it bugged him during her audition...
no way she is definitely good for a runner up. she was 16 freaking years old at that time. of course she wasn't perfect, but she was damn good! think now, she's i think 21...her voice matured
i like her and this performance is alright. like it makes me mad when people don't make it as far as they should. like 3rd place Vonzell who would have won Taylor's season easily or Tamyra Gray or even Katherine McPhee. it's so frustrating.
i agree, taylor should have not won.. i thought elliot or kat should have took that title as for vonzell, shes good but i thought carrie was just as deserving tamyras also good but kelly definitely that title
nah she was in the bottom 3 times two times that definitely didn't deserve it and one time that was just an ok week but she was sick that week so pretty much regardless of that she should have never been in...

typical,of younger voices,the lower notes are pitchy,kelly clarkson was even that way. with guys its usually the other way around. all except the note at the end,this performance was actually terrible
955pokerface yes kelly was pitchy through some of her ai performances but to me kelly Clarkson had more stage persona and engaged the audience more. I was more interested in her performances than diana. I do agree the performance was not good it was off key at many points despite the ending where she held that last note incredibly long.
she's a decent singer, but I don't think she's good enough for an AI runner up. Many female contestants on season 7 are better than her, IMO. but that's just what I think :p

I'll give it to her she held that last note for hella long but she was pitchy throughout the entire song. Was not a big fan of this performance.

Except for that last incredible note, it wasn't one of her stronger performances, as big of a fan as I am of Diana, Jordin Sparks sang it better.
I disagree. Jordin may have had vocal problems at times, but for THIS particular song, she sang it better and she made it her own.

Jordin's version is about 10,000x better than this. This is mediocre, at best. I agree, it stuns me this chick was a AI runner up.
