Dear friends,
I get a lot of criticism using a tts-voice for reading my Dhamma uploads. I also prefer real human voice audio, but I'm not an english native speaker and felt that my accent would upset native English listeners. So since no one proficient volunteers to read it, I feel the machine voice is a great and convenient alternative to not publishing these great Dhamma gems. (I also used female voice here, since the author of the biographical narration is a layperson, for other monks teachings I find it inappropriate to use woman voice)
If someone wants to offer a better reading (which is in my opinion actually not so bad anymore) you can make one on your channel, and i will pin the link to it here in the comments.
Hope the majority of you still can delight in this wonderful inspiring stories.

This same experience I receive from the Spirit of Yahoshua. It consumes the heart for a period of time, awakening the truth of existence...of the great I AM. When this happens, there in no longer need of faith. Knowing replaces faith, and your steps become sure.

One should accept what the monk said about Acharya Mun but there is the principle of uncertainty which affects all limited selves. One should wish the Acharya to remain in that condition but for oneself, one should know that even if one attains that, still there is the likelihood that it may be undone by a higher person or power.
This does not mean that one should be disillusioned about existence. Far from it, one should aspire anyway and be happy regardless.
Some power or person caused one to be here. That same absolute authority can shift one from here and then shift one away from wherever one was elevated to. The idea that one can be the singular cause of liberation is fantasy. One's effort is required but there were cases of persons who attained liberation and who did not make the effort for it. What most people dont get, is that there is no individual that awakened. Its not an Ajahn or Buddha - its us. We are consciousness and parts of us awake... like rain drops. Eventually more drops will pop out of their individual consciousness until we are collectively awakened. Thats why we mostly dont get names or faces in out of body, mystical or near death experiences - because we tend to create a religion out of it. Names can be catched and distorted by the ego... the heart does not need names or words.

So what _was_ the instruction followed that led to his arhatship?
By any other name it is certainly the practice of the eight limbs of yoga. Yama and niyama. Asana, pratyahara, pranayama, dharana, dhyana, and samadhi. Follow these instructions, and those of your Guru, if you are so fortunate to have one. Bare in mind that it is only with pure intention that these practices come into our lives in the first place. And it is suffering that brings wisdom.
Purity of heart reveals the light of God within. Two experiences come, God with form, God without form. Mine came on the eighth of November 1980. Good luck.

@@stefanschleps8758 hi, thanks for your great reply. As I understand it the two people in the clip are probably Theravada Buddhists, and discussing fruition of the 4 path model - arhatship - along with phenomena often associated with the progress of Insight.
You're writing about a more Hindu path I think... Gurus aren't typically a part of early buddhism, for example.
If your own experience in 1980 had similarities to that described in the clip I'd love to hear more. In my own case I've practiced along Theravada lines, for example, yet shaktipat has played a part at significant points.

I had experience this sudden explosion of very bright light before during meditation in my younger day. Don't think this was Enlightenment. Just a peaceful experience.
I've had one too, quite some years ago. I think it's referred to in English as a 'bliss'. And blissful it was, but as you say, alas, not Enlightenment!

We have to use words to attempt to express the inexpressible, so if you want to debate whether individual mind exists, I'll opt out of that for now. He can congratulate himself on his hard work and dedication that enabled him to briefly get a glimpse of the feeling of enlightenment through his process of meditation , but remember his teacher should have said this is only one box that you have now ticked in life an important box that can help all other areas of your life but still only one box there are many more that you need to experience while on this earthly plane before like having and mastering physical relationships and experiencing , envy jealousy, fear , true loveand contentment, running a successful business and achieving great success the lust goes on and on so leave the temple and monkhood today and go mix it up in the real world and remember there will be plenty of time to further your studies with enlightenment and the true meaning of life after you pass away .

How do you know? Are you enlightened ? Is there a standard that everyone will have the same experience? Do you meditate ? If you do is your journey karmic and biological same as his or anybody else's?
Given the many similar documented experiences, the ‘atomic bang’ is what happens - at least to those practitioners.

@@uvlog438 thinking knowing is a thing , watching an other thing , dreaming is not prohibited but you know Buddha himself died after 15 days of hard diarrhea in walking to shrinagar , son of a king living in luxury till 25 y old , then by fasting a few days just discovered a cain of distancing with foods and parasites , all tibetan monks today are larger than a piano , all buddhist centers are cash counters begging for your donations , karma is there , experience and soul's maturation is there , wisdom is there but enlightenment is a tale for animals unfinished to push them on a better way less selfishly , but this is from inside 💠 your capacities your deep core , nothing will fall from the sky , and if you do any mantra prayer any ritual into a mind interested by enlightenment , you waste all the time invested cause you run after a ghost 👻 , interestedly , and it shows only that you are actually in the deepest darkness of confusion, illusion , perdition ...
