    I have never seen these in a store or being used on any jobs sites I've been on in the NW United States (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Utah). I have mostly Makita power tools even though they feel a bit on the pricey side compared to some other top brands. I love Makita tools. My opinion is the Makpac seems way too expensive for what you get compared to others. Also, appears smaller and doesn't appear to be as rugged as other options. As a Bit of a Makita fanboy I would love to get my hands on some of these and check them out. I have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on tools. $40k last week including Makita 70lbs electric jackhammer and a Makita concrete saw. Maybe Makita should send me some to demo😊

      In Europe most models come in these boxes with plastic inserts that fit the tool. Some don't want them so they sell the boxes when they buy new tools. I have about 20 of these and the cheapest ones I've bought for $10 each.

    I've had the DeWalt packout and looked into the Milwaukee set up, its got so much wasted space with all the crap it has on the outside of the boxes. i got 2 of the big Macpac boxes at first. they are super compact and have zero waste of space, stack well together and work with my festool sustainers perfectly. I eventually ended up getting rid of all my packout systems and went completely makpac and sustainers for everything, i was able to fit a lot more equipment in my truck. you can say what you want, but they are great to work with and save space in your truck

    Makpacs are licensed from the 1993 Tanos Systainer gen 1 design. They have the worst connection design of all the major brands, they are not rackable, are not reinforced with rubber bumpers, and have no weather protection. Tanos themselves are a couple of generations on. Dewalt and Milwaukee are miles further on. Those four clips per connection just don't work first time every time so you end up faffing with them.

    I rather invest on T Loc than Makita's dated interlocking system at this stage.

      I think there's an awful lot of interesting stuff in the MAKPAC range, but if you'd rather something else, we have loads of storage options at ITS: its.co.uk/tool-storage/ - Dan

    Milwaukee and Dewalt and Flex have much better drawers.....why doesn't Makita make nice drawers for the tools?

  • @groundhog5923
    @groundhog5923 7 месяцев назад +5

    Makita power tools fanboy, but DAMN those are some awful boxes! The drawers have no sliders. You are just shoving a plastic box into a plastic hole. After waiting and hoping Makita would come thru, I just went with Packout during their January sale. Makita really dropped the ball on their boxes. There are so many more affordable systems that are better than what Makita offers. Rigid, Toughbuilt, even Harbor Freight. I don't get what Makita did. They need to fire the design team that came up with this garbage and the execs that approved it.
