I must say - I’ve watched all studio McGee video content on Netflix and a lot on RUclips and, this time I notice a big difference in the way Shea is delivering her words in a video. It’s so eloquent (and full of interior design language vocabulary)! It may be that was always the case but the editing made it feel otherwise. Either way, if this was an intentional change/effort, I absolutely notice it and LOVE it!
Love how there taste and style has changed I remember when she said I only like all white kitchens now she’s doing these beautiful more earthy moody kitchens ❤
Someone from another country commented and they think basically all Americans live in a home like this. Nope, far from it. The rest of the world has a misconception about life in the U,S.
Many homes are 15,000 to 18,000 sq feet in Park City area. Its a ski resort so the extra square footage and bed rooms are needed for not only family but friends and church groups etc. A 5 bed or smaller is not always sufficient Generally the larger homes have 1 to 2 separate bunks rooms. 1 for males and the other for female visitors. At least 1 room for live in staff is helpful as well.
What I love about Studio McGee is their willingness to try new styles/approaches and go anywhere with their clients' design request whilst putting that McGee twist to it. Exciting!
Shea, I love how you mentioned it’s modern but yet feels so cozy not your traditional cold modern feel . Every single detail is mind blowing how you thought of the tiny details. I love it so beautiful. Your extremely talented happy your making people so happy making memories with their family .
No doubt the result of this project is amazing! I would just love to see the "McGee Signature" in a smaller scale and with a bit more personal touch from your clients. :)
Perfect for Park City. I’ve got friends there. Call them hard working millionaires. They have a smaller version of the house that you are showing. What a nice environment to rest for a weekend or Holiday period.
Wow, dream after dream after dream and i love it. The design and the decor are beyond gorgeous. I would love to see interior design of a smaller more obtainable home. But i definitely enjoy the gream as well❤️
Superb presentation! It's a truly wonderful home with every space being thought through to the finest detail. One of the most tasteful homes I've seen - truly beautiful.
Love this and the cupboard that is a door! If I sat in the kitchen and someone walked out of the cupboard I would have a heart attack! Kids (and the kid in all of us) will love this!!
WOW! 😍 What an INCREDIBLE home! Amazing job you did ... as usual! I am SO delighted that you are putting up the paint color in each area! THANK YOU! I would SO MUCH appreciate the same with the size of each room too. I LOVE to design homes as a hobby, but it's difficult to know what size the rooms should be without furniture placement.
One of the best design and details ! What a beautiful colour selection Just love the warmth all through out this home and not boring same old The only thing I’m trying to figure out in the bunk room area how does one get out bed when the latter is blocking the entrance hate for a emergency situation 🙈😊 Oh my and this is a vacation home wow ❤🎉🇨🇦👏🏾
Our landlord is selling the house we are renting and we only have 30 days to move out , with my 3 boys, finding a place to move to and change schools which my eldest boy recently got accepted to a magnet school… and this people have a vacation house. What a blessing they have. ✨✨🙏✨🙏✨🙏✨🙏 I don’t even have a place to go to….
This place is GORGEOUS! I LOVE IT…..and it is a bit different! Just a couple things (imo). Need curtains to soften the look and also kitchen cabinets should have gone all the way to the ceiling….but I understand why you didn’t …. The TV? It is way too high and could have chosen the tv that looks like art…. And yes…loving that kitchen colour. I understand the benches around the table…..but no one but kids want to spend any time in them….too uncomfortable. Form over function there imo. Great job guys overall. I can see the thought and effort behind all the choices. Love love love. Please turn all the lights and sconces on for tours!!!!
Beautiful but can you please show us more realistic homes respectfully. I truly mean this in the nicest tone Lol most of us aren't millionaires or billionaires and we too would love some inspo! Thank you!!!
Rich people watch RUclips too ya know. They need inspo also 😄 I do get what you’re saying though. I just take inspiration and recreate it what I can within my budget.
They don't get to choose how big or nice the houses are. Their clients come to them with a vision that they fulfill. Whether that be 2500 sqft or 10,000
I just love that kitchen and all the seating there too. My word it is like fitting 20 of my own tiny kitchen inside of it. What a perfect huge family area for Thanksgiving! Great view! The natural light in the primary suite is amazing. Love the colors too with those touches of mustard. I do not like the fabric lamp. . .not easy to clean when dust gets on it. That's not a good idea. No bathroom is incomplete without a signature Studio McGee faucet that has bronze. The office is beautiful. Even as a photographer. . that room with the cool looking green chairs but with so many photos and artwork pieces everywhere. . .is a bit much. There are too many things on the wall that it seems busy. I feel there could have been a lot less of the walls being covered. The design otherwise is great. I love the huge photograph though! I think that alone with maybe the small wood shelf next to it on the left and maybe a couple pieces of art on the other wall would have been enough. I love the one room with the wet room. That whole thing is perfect everywhere! You always do a beautiful job designing though!!
The client wanted “funky and bold“… and then proceeded to hire Studio McGee. LOL!!! When Shea shared that late in the video, after a long tour through another in an endless line of signature, Neutral, Muted, Understated (their hallmark) Studio McGee creations, I completely lost it! Don’t get me wrong, it’s very nice - despite the interior design being a little predictable and unimaginative, given the obvious hefty budget - but nobody, with eyes and a basic knowledge of language, would ever in a million years reach for the words, ‘funky’ or ‘bold’, to describe what they just saw. And, God bless her, but the only “color” tone that’s ever used is either extremely muted, washed out, or grayed down, regardless of how she describes it. Which is great, if that’s what you want (everywhere). But let's not pretend it’s anything other than that. And when she says things like “we decided to go subdued here”... - as a contrast to what??? - everything else that’s not already so extremely subdued! LOL. Obviously, the star of the home here is the views everywhere, and the decorating does not detract from that, as it probably shouldn't. If the client truly wanted, “something funky and bold, and so unlike anything you’ve ever done before”, they probably should have chosen a design studio that’s actually ever delivered that. It's called the "Studio McGee look" for a reason -- and so far that's all I've ever seen from them. IMO, their work kinda all blends together, and would like to (at least occasionally) see something new, or different, or some type of discernible evolution. But perhaps, contrary to what this client asked for, that same signature look is all their clients ever really want from them. And they do deliver!
I’m so impressed with your Park City Summit Estate. Beautiful work as always. I would love to know where you sourced the living room coffee table Wendy
So here in South Africa, most of our homes are brick built which I understand is not the case in the States. If your house is already built with plastered walls, is there a way to achieve that exposed stone look that the kitchen has?
29:23 I’m at the point where she’s detailing the bunk room, and even tho the lower beds are perpendicular to the uppers, with the ladders between the lower beds, looks inconvenient to get in and out of the lowers, especially the center bed.
I’d love that too but the average person wouldn’t be able to afford her services, whether a small house or apartment. Only the rich with money to spare can splurge on hiring a designer so their houses are going to be on the extreme end 😅.
Stunning Project, Studio MeGee! Look amazing. Just an interesting comment, the English don’t use the word ‘backside’ to describe the back. We use the word ‘rear’. ‘ Backside’ implies someone else bottom, which is rude to be comments upon. 😅
I love the way you explain all of your design choices. It is like taking an interior design course when you showcase your homes.
Thank you! We love to educate and inspire!🥰
Studio McGee knocked it out of the park as usual.
out of the Park CITY* as usual haha
Thank you!!❤️

I agree! Before it was hard to watch on Netflix as everything was like, like this, like that. Lack of words. Now - take notes!! Bravo!
Love how there taste and style has changed I remember when she said I only like all white kitchens now she’s doing these beautiful more earthy moody kitchens ❤
It almost looks like something The Lifestyled Co. would do. I was honestly getting tired of the grandma chic style. But I love this
We're loving all the moody vibes!🥰
Wow if this is their vacation home I would like to see their main residence!!! Gorgeous work!!
Thanks so much!❤️
Just letting it sink in that these clients are so rich, they own a 10,000 sq ft *vacation home*.
Someone from another country commented and they think basically all Americans live in a home like this. Nope, far from it. The rest of the world has a misconception about life in the U,S.

It's a beautiful design job, but also a sign of the great distance between the truly wealthy and "normal" people.
I am interested for night time house tour to see the lighting of the space. Hope there is part two.❤ love every detail here.
Shea, I love how you mentioned it’s modern but yet feels so cozy not your traditional cold modern feel . Every single detail is mind blowing how you thought of the tiny details. I love it so beautiful. Your extremely talented happy your making people so happy making memories with their family .

That's your opinion but that is what the client wanted 🤷.
I would LOVE to know how much this project cost!!! Imagine!!! Wild and insanely beautiful
Perfect for Park City. I’ve got friends there. Call them hard working millionaires. They have a smaller version of the house that you are showing. What a nice environment to rest for a weekend or Holiday period.
Every decision really feels just perfect!
Stunning, might be my new favorite! Love that kitchen, and the seamless integration of stone and wood. And the pattern mixing is a work of art!
Thanks so much!! ❤️
Reminds me of the SM ranch house kitchen…. beautiful to see how your style evolves but is still very you …. it’s beautiful and classic 😍
❤️
The kitchen/dining is my fav!! Love the stove w/ the hardware. The stone with the floating wood shelving. The view is the selling point 😊
This is the best house you've done. I love that you are bringing color into the spaces.
Thanks so much!🥰
Wow, dream after dream after dream and i love it. The design and the decor are beyond gorgeous. I would love to see interior design of a smaller more obtainable home. But i definitely enjoy the gream as well❤️
LOVE THE SKI PATROL FLAG BY POINTER AND PINE
What an amazing house! One can only dream. I love the green stain on the bathroom vanity.
Yes .. on View! PERFECTion in All you do, Shea! That statement table in livingroom ... To Die For!!! ❤️
This vacation home is Huge! Very Nice
Thanks so much!💕
I could only dream to have a place like this!! So pretty ❤
We feel the same way! It's a dream! ❤️
I like all the textures, tones & light. The Ski Patrol artwork is so cool & I don’t even ski. The pop of red hit the mark upon entry. Great job!
Excited to see where the Studio McGee style is headed
The design truly fits the area, molding outside with inside. Wonderful!
It looks really nice! I love SM's team is utilizing more color in their projects. It definitely gives me ideas I can incorporate in my home.
Love everything about this, especially the view. Very cosy! Well done, team!
I just want you to design my kitchen/dining/ living combo. Sigh a girl can dream!
I’ll take it as my main home. No need for a vacation home. I’ll be on vacation.😂
Superb presentation! It's a truly wonderful home with every space being thought through to the finest detail. One of the most tasteful homes I've seen - truly beautiful.
I love everything she does...for me ...she is one of the best designer...s
shea... bleedings from NYC ❤
So sweet of you to say! It means a lot! ❤️
Beautiful. Love all the color choices. The attention to detail is next level.
This is exactly my cup of tea. Stunning
Sublime! You couldn't add or subtract anything from the design of this home!
Thank you!💞
wow this is such a gorgeous house❤
Love that yellow in the boot room!
Its truely nice design one. Thanks.
Greetings from Nha Trang city, Vietnam
Love this and the cupboard that is a door! If I sat in the kitchen and someone walked out of the cupboard I would have a heart attack! Kids (and the kid in all of us) will love this!!
Oh my, this is an amazing project and kitchen. Truly classic. Love the color. Happy to see a Lacanche range in this great space.
So glad you love it! ❤️
Absolutely stunning

Beautiful backgrounds are around the corner. ✨
So talented Mrs. McGee!
This was lovely, so much fresh inspo!

WOW! 😍 What an INCREDIBLE home! Amazing job you did ... as usual!

Beautiful. Obviously the clients are hardworking who are blessed to get to enjoy a place like this with friends and family!

@@tslilbearshoppe9870 thank you love 💕🙏 God bless you more
Pretty modern, no crown molding, no window trim. Nice.
Glad you like it! ❤️
Wow just wow 😍😍 so many beautiful details
Thank you!❤️
Lets talk about the kitchen color and the kitchen all by its self. Cant breath
Where on Earth did you find those FABULOUS English-inspired taps that you used in the upstairs bar, Shea? I'm in LOVE with them! 😍

Hi, family! I will check in soon to catch up!🫶🩷💕❤️☺️😘🥰🤗💐
Another great collection
thank you! ❤️
LOVE! What is the color on the vent hood? I love the way it compliments the dark green.
Absolutely stunning!! What a shame it's a vacation home. How can people build a beautiful home and not actually live in it!
10,000sf extra home. Hmm, hard to wrap my head around such excess. Good simple organic design.
Love this home, ya'll!! Ski Patrol is my fav :)
❤️
Amazing!! So inspiring!
Have you ever thought of designing hostels? Because the bunkrooms you create are awesome!
Stunning! Some of your best work for sure.
Thanks so much!❤️

@MickeyMoe-mp1qx they do choose what they work on. They are not remodeling 2500sf in suburbia.....maybe in NYC for some millionaire.
I think it’s possible to take the inspo and apply what works to any sized home
I like the strip couch.
Loved the overall look!
Hated the mud room color.
Thank you for sharing paint colors!
Of course! Happy to whenever we can! 😘
I just love that kitchen and all the seating there too. My word it is like fitting 20 of my own tiny kitchen inside of it.

The stone is so beautiful in the entryway! Could you tell me the name and where to buy it from?
Beautiful work as always, I am really liking the moody vibes. May I know the paint shade of bunk room? Thank you for educating us.
Gorgeous use of color! Where is the curved patterned couch from in the living room?
Thank you! A lot of this project is custom so we aren't able to source each piece. ❤️
I love the pot filler, What brand is it?

I really love it, you did a great job...!!
Love the design 😍
❤️
Great design.💗 Not sure why you call things a 'moment' sounds a little weird
This is a great submission for r/TVTooHigh.
Where can I get the t coffee able from the living room.
What is the paint color used for the bunk beds?
I’m so impressed with your Park City Summit Estate. Beautiful work as always. I would love to know where you sourced the living room coffee table
Wendy
Thanks so much! The client chose the coffee table ❤️

Its Luxury. 😍
Beautiful home. Can you share the source of the irregular shaped coffee table in the LR.
What is this beautiful dark blue color in the bunk room?? 😍
Where can we get that dining hutch???
I prefer it when you design homes and interiors for people other than the uber rich.
I’d love that too but the average person wouldn’t be able to afford her services, whether a small house or apartment. Only the rich with money to spare can splurge on hiring a designer so their houses are going to be on the extreme end 😅.
What is the stain color of the dark wood in the foyer? Beautiful
It's a custom stain! ❤️
