Beverly Hills Cop 4 Netflix Movie Review Развлечения
It was really good! Eddie back on form! Definitley deserved a cinema release 😁
I would've loved to have seen this in theaters over this holiday week and wknd. Damn Netflix.
I bet it could've pulled $40-$50 mil with good marketing.
Man, it's such a shame that those Beverly Hills Cop toys that Shaq promoted aren't real
LOL
Halfway through and I'm shocked to say I'm enjoying it. Definitely made for fans of the series.
P.s. I'm one of the few Beverly Hills Cop 3 fans, I grew up with it.
Haven’t seen it in awhile! I need to catch it again
BHC3 is a bad movie.
@@jesseowenvillamor6348 oh nooooooooo! I still like it lol. You don't like any objectively bad movies? Sounds real boring
Same here man. Love that movie lol.
@@AaronTheDogMMA You're boring
"Beverly Hills Cop wouldn't ve Beverly Hills Cop without going back to Beverly Hills." This is that unique Austin insight we come for.
😂 I give the people what they want
If Hollywood is bringing back 80s and 90s action films, how about we call up Jackie Chan for another Rush Hour, or maybe Keanu Reeves would be down for a speed 3.
Rush Hour 4 can be possible but not sure about Speed 3.
The one I am really looking forward to is Lethal Weapon 5 directed by Mel Gibson which may come out by the end of next year or 2026.
You know what.. I reckon Speed 3 could work.. to kick off the franchise again. If Tom Cruise could do it with Mission Impossible, I'm sure Keanu could pull it off.. the script just has to be right. 🤔
I rolled my eyes with another legacy sequel that had a moody female character telling off the iconic male character for a big part of the movie and of course he was a deadbeat failure of a father because being a good dad is just a narrative that Hollywood doesn't like anymore. It wasn't heavy handed like some other movies and they didn't cut Axel's nuts off like they did with Indy in Dial or Luke in TLJ but there was still some of that modern day bulls@it. The movie does have some fun stuff in it when the daughter is out of it. It's better than the 3rd movie which isn't saying much but I would give it like a 6/10.
Definitely loved the original Beverly Hills Cop the best. But my favourite Eddie Murphy role is in Trading Places.
Another fantastic video! Thank you Austin!
This should have been in theaters for sure
As a huge fan of BHC 1 and 2 ( not so much 3 which was a slight disappointment) I was really looking to this from the day it was first announced. although I was also worried that it might be a bit let down. Well having watched it , my concerns were blow out of the water. Axel is back !! OK he is older and wiser and can`t do some of the more physical stuff but who can do what they could 30 plus years ago. I loved it. My only regret is that it isn`t on the cinema. It would be even better on the big screen but having said that it`s the perfect movie to get your friends round with a pizza and a few beers. It`s a 9 out of 10 for me.
I’ll admit, I haven’t seen 1-3, and that probably effects my score for this one, but I enjoyed seeing Eddie Murphy in an R Rated film and in a comedic role again, I’d say an 80 is fair. for modern sequels go, this is solid.
What are you doing??! Watch them now!
Such a huge fans of the originals (other than number 3) - so much fun to see Murphy having fun back on screen, with some much needed youth to inject some energy into it - no real villainous presence but such a fun nostalgia trip
I loved it so much that I didn't realise how the time passed by especially the humour 😂🙌 this was bitchin'
I still feel that you were too generous, but yours is one of the better reviews I've seen.
Considering this movie was Tired from the beginning.
Slow, clunky, obvious and predictable... with a few fun bits sprinkled in.
The acting was fine.
But script was littered with plot holes and contrivances.
I hoped for more, based on all the reviews that are In the Tank for thus boring retread.
Sounds great, I’ll check it out tonight.
Best part for me was how they progressed with the parent/daughter bond. That in the end it took both an apology from the father and the admission of accountability of the daughter; the "I'm an adult now" from Jane. The importance here is a lot of youth, now adults are growing up with full blame of the parents and have relinquished 100% accountability to initiate or respond to any resolution. Taking an original hurt, and deforming their lives as they carry it, while blaming the parent for the initial hurt (acceptable) and how they have changed (acceptable that decreases over time). Jane recognized that there is accountability in herself and in that relationship and that is powerful.
I also liked how they showed this therapy mindset and the possible problems with it. Therapizing others, 'reading them', and pushing a slice of perspective from what they understand onto others, which can Pidgeon hole the other into a view and in this case, not allowing the other person to respond or respond with entangled emotions. Therapy can be very useful. I believe it is most useful for short sprints here and there and not life long runs. Therapists are human too and can create crutches if they aren't careful. We non-therapist normies do have the ability to create harm in others as well by taking what we learn and plastering over someone else. Our experiences with what we learned with a different set of experiences. Which can be problematic.
Rant over.
Great movie. It did feel like the old movies which I liked. They didn't trash the old cast. They kept their old mindsets and experience and moved it to a new generation, without undermining the importance of that experience. The story broke down a bit near the ending when Grant got more involved, but the finish was a good recovery.
It was fun, you could tell the cast had fun, it had heart, it's great
Hope to see Eddie Murphy Raw live in Concert! 😊
I agree. Kevin Bacon never really felt like a threat till the last act. And even that last act was a little slow. Helicopter scene was ridiculous but funny
I would agree with your review. I think Eddie is back in form but like most sequels, it's hard to top the original Eddie was doing interviews where he said they created a genre of the cop comedies or funny cop movies and that is true. But, when you remake something, it's tough to top what started it all. Overall though, it was better than 3 for sure.
I actually I had a good time watching this and I think it does a good job of recreating nostalgic feelings for the first "Beverly Hills Cop" movie and hearing the Axel Foley theme music throughout.
A Grand Return To Form!!! 👌🏽💯👍🏾
It’s a really good sequal you know this franchise is a lot like bad boys especially with the 1984 original being like the first bad boys from 1995.
I was wondering which Axel F version you were going to use for the intro, Peter dancing and singing to it or damn Crazy Frog 😂. Curious to check this out after watching the first 3 movies.
Favorite Eddie Murphy movie is Coming to America, though best performance is Dreamgirls, should’ve won the Oscar if only Norbit didn’t exist.
Wasn’t official until Austin weighed in!
That’s all you my friend 💪🏻
So enjoyable murphy still has it he made me laugh so much. Hope they continue this.
My dad and I are excited for this movie, we'll be watching it later today :D
The original is the best of the franchise, but Boomerang is my favorite Eddie Murphy movie. Strange' makes the movie for me.
Had a blast watching
❤❤❤ love thé intro 😂
Hehehehehehe
I loved it!!
I think the movie was great for their age!!
I thought the movie is great a return to form and also one of the cops that arrested axle when he first came back to Beverly hills I heard in an interview that one of the cops was Eddie Murphy's daughter and I know he was having fun with that and he was having fun with his daughter too she was having fun herself great review
So excited for this movie!!!
Lemme know what you think!
We need another another 48 hours lol.
so glad to know its good. im a big fan of the first and second movie
If you compare it with those its not good.
To think we're going to get a TV show based on Eddie Murphy's son than this. I'm glad it ended up not happening
Here's video of the Beverly Hills Cop Pilot that never got picked up
ruclips.net/video/qUa90i0i99U/видео.htmlsi=54y4pi8USHlARjcC
It was surprisingly really enjoyable it's filled with nostalgia lots of call backs it's just fun
I was only skeptical about director Mark Molloy because of this being his directorial debut the first 3 had well known directors Martin breast Tony Scott and John Landis but I was surprised that I liked it 3 out of 4 for me
The "types of movies" I never know what's going to be the 'steady narrative' are the ones where the Trailer shows you everything...is it what it is, or extremely more (graphic) details? Other than that, it's always that the script could have better!😉😊😊
Outstanding to see the 3 back in an outstanding movie, had some laughs, absolutely not better then 2 like some say in my opinion. Patiently waiting for part 5 confirmed in an interview from Eddie Murphy.
Haha nice
Same score as a quiet place day 1 lol.
So was that Shooter McGavin on the golf course?
I wanted to know the same thing! It HAS to be right!?
@@Chez114 I hope so since there's supposed to be a sequel in development by NETFLIX.
Not very good. But it's impossible to get close to the original. Im not surprised, though.
Austin just like this video for you❤❤😘😘🤗🤗❤ 😍😍
Remember when Martin Scorsese said that streaming platforms were transforming cinema into meaningless commercial content and then everyone pilloried him for it?
Behold, Beverly Hills Cop Axel F! 6/10.
The helicopter scene was not grounded enough?
10/10 pun
You didn’t even talk about the bit where he gets his gadgets
That bit was so iconic in the earlier movies
Bad review
You’ll get over it
Honestly the only thing good in the movie was some of the action scenes. The rest felt underdevelopt. I hade no intrest in Axel F daughter and most of the scenes with his old buddies Taggert and Rosewood felt forced. There were also scenes that felt really strange and too long.
I don't get the F bit and why it's only the letter F, do they think people will think it's a swear word?? I honestly don't get it.
I just did not feel this movie well, 6/10 at best for me. The acting at some points was oddly bad, the story was uhh... very 80's :D
Love Eddie ..but what a fail
This movie was a colossal disappointment. It was the standard Hollywood thing of neutering our heroes. His fast talking constantly fails and he's not active in the fire fights until the very last one. The script is just bad.
There are some good scenes, and the actors do the best with the material they are given, but it's just not good. Not as bad as 3, but much worse than 1 and 2.
Is it woke? That’s all I want to know because Netflix can’t stop putting that BS in
not at all
His daughter is yelling at him for a chunk of the movie and of course Axel failed as a father. There's some modern-day BS in the mix but it's a very watchable movie. Nowhere near as bad as Dial of Destiny with how they made Indy look like a pathetic loser.
@@MasonGrant0704 thats not woke though. Thats believable storytelling.
@@JimmyRaptis Making every father in modern day movies or shows a failure isn't believable. It has sprinkles of it but doesn't go Dial of Destiny on us.
@@MasonGrant0704 its believable in the sense of a cop like Axel Foley who values the job more than the family and hence is still not retired. Been a movie trope since well before the 80s.
And let's be honest, if Shia hadn't gone off the rails in Hollywood then he would have been in the sequel. Plus its a modern day Disney film, so all of these movies make men a number one villain.
