That $235 hotel room costs $710 in today's money (40 years later). You know you were curious.
Not when filled with illegals.
My man has done the math thank you :)
$595 before the pandemic
😂 and today it cost $1k plus a night
I watched Beverly Hills Cop for the first time last week, and yes, I also looked it up immediately 😂
"Coked Out Mansion Goon" Love it!
Those guys couldn't aim for $#@&.
That got me too 😂
That line made me have to stop the video to laugh for a few minutes. Then rewind and laugh again
So okay, are they mansion goons who are coked out, or are they just goons at a coked out mansion? It matters, okay
@@romulusnr good question...
That theme by Harold Faltermeyer is iconic
Ever heard the America: The Motion Picture take on the theme?
Peter Griffin's version is the best though
Heh, heh, heh huh heh huh heh, and then another heh heh heheh heh.
💯
about a decade before PSY came out with Gangnam style, he had a hit song in South Korea called Champion that sampled the Axel-F theme.
Fun fact: Gilbert R. Hill, who plays the police-chief (3:17) wasn't just some actor, he was the former police inspector of the homicide division
And he was (probably) dirty. If you haven’t heard it yet, Crimetown S2 (Apple podcasts has it) is about Detroit and has Gil Hill talk and some allegations
And his whole thing with White Boy Rick
@@RichardHomolka He was definitely dirty...
Wadapdoe!!
@@RichardHomolkahad no idea. About o start the podcast. Thanks for sharing.
I honestly can’t help but laugh when Eddie Murphy laughs.
Me too, I love him.
He recently said he hated that he was known for that laugh and taught himself not to do it anymore 🥺😟
It’s a total meme, but damn if it isn’t endearing and charismatic.
Eddie M. is pathetic
@@WhiteLivesMatterPLWho hurt you sir?
Now you have to do an honest trailer for Cobra
Yeah, they kinda walked into that one.
@@flyingdics1 Agree
Go ahead. I don't shop here.
and say " I wanted a more manly name; like Doris".
... *PIG.* God I loved this movie. We always tried to keep track of the kill count, especially around the end of it.
Eddie imitating “You won’t fall for the banana in the tailpipe?” Is one to the greatest cinematic moments ever
"LOOK MAHN WE AINT FALLIN FOR NO BANNANAHH IN MA TAAAIIIHHHLL PIPE!"
Gotta put some more bass in your voice
My wife and I shout that to eachother all the time.
@@PeterZeeke HAHAHAHAHA. Perfect

HEYY!!...THATS MY GREEN GROCER!!!
My favorite part of the trailer, lol 😂😂
Lol, NGL I cried out "My cabbages!" At the exact moment awesome trailer voice guy did :D

what the hell is that from? this is killing me!!!!
@@thomasd4738 avatar the last airbender
@thomasd4738 it's a running gag from the animated TV series Avatar The Last Airbender.
@@AncientManBeast THANK YOU!!!
Mike Ehrmantraut, Balki and Major Payne all in 1 movie, that's crazy!
Burke from Aliens is in there, too
@@thatfriggingbathroom2656 Seegar from Officer and a Gentleman
Daniel Larusso's friend Freddie Fernandez is in here too.
To be fair, that is a really good theme song
The hours and hours I spent trying to recreate that bassline on a tuba in high school.
@@johndaily263 I did the same thing with piano so I get you :)
Axel F still slaps tbh
But keep Crazy frog out!
Harold also did Fletch.
The banana in the tailpipe hasn't been topped since. Prove me wrong!!
well nobody will fall for it *now*
The director of Gigli and Beverly Hills Cop also directed Midnight Run which is a classic.
Yeah, I really liked Midnight Run, very underrated.
Also Scent of a Woman.
How he went from BHC and Midnight Run to.... **sigh** ..."Gobble, gobble," is beyond me....
We need an Honest Trailer for Midnight Run, now that I think about it.
The Joke is they are ALL Bangers except Gigli. It sounds fine on paper (star power maxxed out) but the actually movie was bad, but not the kinda bad that can even be poked fun at.
How dare you look down on Beverly Hills ninja…that was a classic 😂
I gave this a comment a thumbs down. Just thought you should know😂
@@batmanwins5701 well it’s clearly you live in a van down by the river

Ok. Who couldn't laugh while Eddie was honking. 😅😅😅😅 it's infectious.
Me
In the 80s, women said that his laugh was sexy. It was a strange time, man.
Beverly Hills ninja is a classic don’t you dare
Right. Why ninja taking strays?
All time classic.
Watching a movie with rose colored glasses doesn't make it a classic.
@@DontKnowDontCare6.9 That's exactly what it does, genius.
@@DontKnowDontCare6.9no that's what it does.
The Beverly Hills Cop theme will just pop into my head in the most random places, once it's in your brain, there is no escape, you will hear it again and again.
There's a crazy frog version too.
A great flick, with Eddie on top of his game. Loved the bit in Part 2 when he "borrows" a mansion to stay in.
😂😂😂😂
wow i just realized i been watching yall for 12 years now consistently. so far this is my longest relationship 😂
And I’ve been watching you for 15 years, making this my second longest relationship. 🤠
That Bronson Pinchot name card was a deep cut. How many people remember standing tall on the wings of their dreams? Or bibby babkas?
Perfect Strangers is one of the first things I can ever remember watching in my life. Classic.
Don't remember much about the show, except their girlfriends were way out of their league.
Well of course not, don't be ridiculous!
America or burst!
I routinely think about the line “I am a hollow reeeeeeeed” 😊
I give up. You win, I’ll stop asking for honest trailer commentaries to come back
…..WHEN IM DEAD
5:55 - Ever since 'The Langoliers', I can't see Bronson Pinchot without thinking to myself "SCARING THE LITTLE GIRL!!!"
“Lady!”
nostalgia critic: Did he just get castrated on that line?
I just heard that in the new one he doesn’t do his iconic laugh. That saddens me a great deal, I always felt that he had the best laugh ever. I hope he changes his mind in the future and brings it back, it was one of a kind
tbf, according to Eddie's own words, this time Axel should be pretty depressed, maybe that's the reason of the lack of his laugh
I'll be very disappointed if this is true. 😢
hopefully not a sign that the movie is a dud, if even Eddie can't laugh
Murphy has said that it wasn't a laugh he developed for Axel, it was his own natural laugh, and he deliberately stopped doing it decades ago because he realised that it was becoming something of a trademark for him, and he didn't want to be be defined by a goofy laugh.
“Honk at their laugh like a happy goose”
*I CANT UNHEAR IT NOW!!!*
Please do “Honest Trailers | Every Stanley Kubrick Film”…
A car rolling when in park is a transmission problem, not a brake problem
Unless it was left in neutral
Yes, but either way, the problem wouldn't be brake related, and it seems like Axel applied the parking brake to fix the problem.
I think the important thing is to note that the lack of research just ruined the whole trailer.
This was a for real malfunction. It slipped out of park and he stopped it. They left it in.
@@robertmorris8997that's awesome, thanks!
Parking brake issue I believe. Granted, that wouldn't effect normal braking ability
Little known fact: the giant bunny guy in Clerks animated was played by Ethan Suplee… in a giant bunny guy costume…

Hey!!! Leave Beverly Hills Ninja alone!!!
“Are you still mad about the banana in the tail pipe? Hegh hegh hegh”
Black Noir would of been good but Eddie is iconic lol
Black Noir was always destined for the VCU
I laughed a little too hard at the 'My cabbages!' line. 😜
"Who is driving?!?! BEAR IS DRIVING!!! How can this BE?!?!
Tranforms, liquifies passengers
(Korean Animation Studio).
“My cabbages!!” 😂😂😂
Beverly Hills Cop OG, amazing. Forever if I have to trope, it's this and/or Lethal Weapon.
I was literally going to call BS on the banana in the tail pipe being a one off because of the Clerk cartoon...which you immediately referenced and noted is underrated. Well played, well played. I enjoyed being next to you guys in line to see Antman 2.
Yes, there are two of us who watched the Clerks animated series!
My friend and I still quote it to this day. So there’s at least four of us!
Bear is driving! How can that be??
I-I'm s-sorry, Mr. Dante, but they said you wouldn't care because your expectations for a fair deal have been dulled after years spent at this soul-crushing, less-than-minimum-wage hellhole.
Still got the box set. Might need to break it open again.
Nationwide, I'm sure there are dozens of us. DOZENS I say!
i am so glad yall stuck the landing with the "my cabbages" joke
First movie where Ronnie Cox isn't a complete douche!
No, that would be "Deliverance" (1972)
Yoooooo Beverly Hills Ninja was awesome......R.I.P. Chris Farley
I feel like the stunt double at 2:26, that's at least 50lbs heavier than Eddie, was a missed opportunity for commentary.
You can see that it’s someone else too.
@@TheBOG3 I think that's what I said. 😂
I know in BHC 2, when EM's stunt double jumps up into the truck his 9mm Hi Power pops out, tumbles...
@@RichWellner I meant it was way more obvious than normal.
@@TheBOG3 Yeah, totally! I actually remember it from when I was a kid and noticed it on VHS. I saw it in this video and just started laughing!

Cobra was so Beverly Hills (Cop) chic that he refused to eat any part of the pizza unless it was the closest to the center piece of said pizza that contained, historically speaking, an excess of pizza toppings.
At one time, this was the highest grossing film of 1984...
I love the Avatar quote thrown in.
The clerks cartoon was hilarious
Don't you dare say Beverly Hills Ninja was a "Mistake". It was Chris Farley's Swan Song.
I thought Almost Heroes was his swan song. It came out the next year after he died.

At 4:18 I thought the man on the left was Mark Linn-Baker who played Larry Appleton on ‘Perfect Strangers’ when it’s actually actor Paul Reiser from ‘Mad About You.’ You can’t blame me for thinking it was Mark, especially since Bronson Pinchot who played Balki Bartokomous on ‘Perfect Strangers’ is in this movie.
