Absolutely! In 1973, when I was fifteen, I watched my first Bruce Lee film, 'The Big Boss' in a cinema here in the Netherlands. I will never forget it. It made such a huge impression, that I started practicing martial arts a few weeks later and it hugely enhanced my lacking self- esteem in the long term.. Bruce has helped millions of youngsters to grow some balls and some self-esteem. His influence is huge! Still!
Bruce Lee is the greatest martial artist and possibly one of the greatest fighters of all time. He really became a big star as well developed as an icon with his American-Chinese heritage.
I've been a fan of Bruce Lee for many years, but no matter how many times I watch him, he is the strongest and best movie actor, martial artist, and truly god-like. It's exciting.
Bruce Lee was obviously ahead of the curve when it came to martial arts,health, fitness, business and film choreography. The one thing that hasn’t been highlighted enough about him is his view of a universal human family. He was a proud Asian as he should be, but he also understood that ultimately all ethnicities are part of the HUMAN family. The world needs more people like Bruce Lee because even though he’s not physically here among us, his legacy continues to build bridges between different cultures, generations and ethnicities. His perseverance is something I subconsciously felt and understood from a very young age. I wanted to practice karate when I was 7, but due to various circumstances I started when I was 27 and then it took me 20 years to get a black belt. Always with him in my mind. Certainly, there were many amazing people in the past, but because we don't have pictures and videos of them, it's hard to really understand their genius. In his case, he did a lot in the short time he had and as such will leave in our minds and hopefully inspire other generations forever.

There was a new biography in the last decade that theorized that heat exhaustion as his primary cause of death. That biography was a breakthrough and well done. He had many flaws but his determination and successes (and lessons from failures) were inspirations to many.
There's no dojo or martial arts studio in the world that doesn't have picture of Bruce Lee hanging on the wall. That's the impact he had in the martial arts world, " be water my friend".

I went to Seattle 5 years ago and decided to visit the grave sites of Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Lee (about 20 - 30-minute drive from each other). I went to Hendrix site first and there was about 8 people who came and went in total the 30 minutes I was there. I went to Lee’s site next (it was about 3 or 4 in the afternoon). From the time I got there until I left, there was a steady stream of people who can to the grave site. I estimate about 20 - 25 people came while I was there (and still were coming when I left). I was amazed at how popular Lee still was.
Bruce Lee was one of the most legendary martial artists to this day. His legacy shall always live on! Many of us grew up to love martial arts because of him!

I'm crying watching this beautiful retrospect on Bruce Lee's life. I was 18 years old when he died, and his strength in the face of adversity helped me get through my own adversity-filled (because of having an abusive father but also being an outsider for being autistic) life. So many behind the scenes stories of things that we never hear about.

Because of Bruce I won 36 kumite matchs in one night. I was in what I call. The Bruce Lee SHUFFLE. Even against Black Belt Student from Japan. I studied JKD before I studied Shotokan. Which is very static. Well using Kung Fu along with Shotokan. Creates a very powerful flow of movement. Thank You Sifu Lee.
The impact he had even if he wasn't a competitive fighter...JKD and "the way of the intercepting fist" has had an immense impact on MMA...look at the the styles of the likes of Conor McGregor, Israel Adesanya and many other pro fighters and there is a common denominator that draws very close to his style be it intentional or not..he has an amazing insight in knowing what would work, look at his fighting gloves, his use of Judo and wrestling to create a hybrid way if fighting with no style, when you hear what he had to say about fighting and it being a formless art form without dictation, a self expression from the soul without thinking but one that flows like water. A poet, a thinker and a human being.

Jim Hen was a great musician but Lee is much more renounced.

The impact he had even if he wasn't a competitive fighter...JKD and "the way of the intercepting fist" has had an immense impact on MMA...look at the the styles of the likes of Conor McGregor, Israel Adesanya and many other pro fighters and there is a common denominator that draws very close to his style be it intentional or not..he has an amazing insight in knowing what would work, look at his fighting gloves, his use of Judo and wrestling to create a hybrid way if fighting with no style, when you hear what he had to say about fighting and it being a formless art form without dictation, a self expression from the soul without thinking but one that flows like water. A poet, a thinker and a human being.
