Those laws apply in this context (what you were referring to), as it applies to humans. Where we are informed of what is right and wrong, what is good and evil. And we have the free-will to choose what to do, be it good or evil. Allah Subhanaho Wata'aalah's WILL is not something any human has the capacity to understand. The same way a computer cannot understand by itself what human (it's creator) is capable of, unless the human has given it that information.

Did you know there is no historical proof that the Al Aqsa mosque is the one in Jerusalem and in the Quran beside saying Al Aqsa is the farthest east mosque there is no mention of its location. Jerusalem isn’t mentioned in the Quran not once in all of its names. Actually it’s name in Arabic is called after the Jewish Temple, al maqdas, al kuds, Beit al maqdas, all of these are after Beit Hamikdas which is the Hebrew name for the Temple.

bout 15 years ago I went as an activist to the West Bank. Pro-palestinian. Since I´ve become more nuanced.
Anyhow, spent a night in Sheikh Jarrah, East Jerusalem. Sleeping at this Arab familys front lawn. Right in front of their house was this crazy settler colony who would harrash this otherwise Arab neighbourhood.
A few local palestinian or Israeli Arab guys would show up. Speaking perfect English, almost seeming Americanized. Totally in the culture as opposed to the standard West Bank Palestinian. This Ibrahim in the video Im pretty sure was one of them. I remember back then he striking me as very intelligent and well.. Capable of holding otherwise contradictionary opinions. Like cracking jokes about Hamas firing rockets on them but doing so sitting guard infront of a settler colony. In this case also, I find him and his friends to be quite fair in their assesments of the situation and I have no doubt that their feelings of loyalty and belonging is somewhat muddy. For better or worse.

However, for instance the conversion of the Hagia Sophia into a mosque was done under Ottoman rule which was more a move of conquest than religious intentions. Also it is better to convert it than tear it down isn't it ? As for Al-Aqsa its a different case based on religious interpretation, first the temple was destroyed several times under Roman rule and appeared only during the reign of the early Ummayad Caliphate. after the first crusade the Christians used it also as a church and palace so its a contradiction to say only "Muslims convert holy sites." It was later established further by Saladins conquest and finalized. Whatever lip service anybody might give to the idea of building a 3rd temple, todays Jews if honest with themselves would abhor what their religion would become if the temple was rebuilt.. sacrifices would return, their would be a cohen gadol with who would wear garments specifically described. On Yom kippur the custom of using a goat and killing it to bear our sins would return. These are just a few examples. The life people dream of in prayers "May the holy temple be rebuilt" would be bizarre, not possible to adapt to. The religious leaders will sabotage this.
