After seeing him this year, I think a lot of the better free agents are going to stay away from the team. There are some good teams, some promising teams with quarterbacks who might at least get into the playoffs that are much better bets than a team with an aging quarterback who refuses to recognize that his time is over.
AR8 can go out a failure in New York or he can eat some humble pie, accept a new management, leadership and scheme, adjust from what he likes and try to go out on a high
Football isn't politics. Talking and making crap up works in one of those two...the NFL only accepts real performance. Rodgers did it a few times, and only once all the way through without blinking. That's really his legacy.
Rodgers playing in 2025 means another year of darkness and behind the screen control on Jets organization. Who would want to coach under that situation except for perhaps Hackett? Expect another year of mediocrity before they get a chance to improve.
What head coach will want to coach the jets knowing they have to make it work with Aaron Rodgers. GL with that. A new GM and head coach will want their own players. So this means Joe Douglas is 100% not getting fired.
Watch him end up in Dallas next year, if Mike McCarthy stays head coach… That’s just kind of the perfect Jerry Jones thing to do… Dac hasn’t been the guy for a while.
Aaron Rodgers could prob play for the Jets again, at least for another year. And I'm sure another team would take him instead if they're desperate enough....
Desperate enough for what? To go 6-11 at best? They lost to the Jacoby Brissett-led Patriots. They are 22nd in yards per play. Rodgers is 24th in ANY/A. A team could just pick up Tannehill if they want that level of production
What team is desperate for a 42 year old QB with mobility issues, ranked 23, contracted for 37.5 million, thinks he's a GM, has a mid to poor QBR rating, sucks the morale out of a team, prefers to go on podcasts to practicing, has zero leadership qualities and actually throws teammates under the bus, prioritizes vacations to practicing with a new team during mandatory pre-season activities and has shown that he won't help/coach younger QBs coming up on the team? Asking for a friend (Mike Williams)
@@173jaSon371 I agree. The media likes to talk up the tantalizing possibilities instead of the reality. Rodgers has a no trade clause, no team would want him, and Woody will run this back to try to prove he was right. Rodgers isn't turning down 37 million to try to go out a winner. It's going to end badly.
@@173jaSon371It's not that teams might be desperate for what Rodgers currently is. However, desperation can make a GM convince himself that Rodgers has enough left in the tank.
@@DanArchie-r9q Packers were seeing that those last three seasons with him on the roster. I think he got in his head he wasn't going to get the Favre treatment. Marcedes Lewis fumbled early in the game vs the Niners, 2021 playoffs, divisional round. I remember thinking to myself, he's not seeing the ball again. He didn't. Adams is gone, half the WR room are rookies and he doesn't work with them during the offseason. Acting like it's the coaches who need to get them ready before he tells them what he wants. I don't want them to do this because I'm used to the Jets being terrible, and that feels so right, but yeah, this is basically the correct solution. This is almost exactly what they should do. That said, tanking has more or less been proven not to work in the NFL, so it's not a sound strategy to actually TRY to tank, but they should definitely structure their team in such a way as to be all-in for the future, and to be able to secure the #1 pick in 2026, rather than just trying to win games now.
Name a 3-7 team in the history of the NFL that gets talked about more? Can you? The Jets get mentioned on here more than the 9-0 Chiefs. I get the Jets are a circus and their three rings reside in the largest media market on the planet. I get that in reality the NFL is entertainment, but it is getting tedious.
I hope he does just for the comedy.
Even if he doesn't, the comedy will always be there with the Jets
Even Brady down year in 2022 wasn't this bad. Rodgers should just retire or go to the Vikings and complete his Brett Favre saga.
Favre was 9-7 with the Jets...the saga is already over.
Diva Rodgers would be a cancer for the Vikings and there is nothing they could do to improve his performance on the field.
He would do the Packers a huge favour by going to Minnesota and ruining the Vikings for years😂
Rodgers ain't ageing like Brady, he ageing like my grandma
He's aging like Mike Tyson.
No good coach, or good coaching prospect, will go to the Jets as long as that locker room killer is there. Not a single one worth its salt will.

Who is going to;to be the next assistant coach to Aaron Rogers?

Please aaron come back for another year. Its so enjoyable to see the dumster fire.
Ah yes, the annual 'will he, won't he' offseason begins... but now mid-season.
“Look at me!”
I want one thing from Rodgers (besides retire) hand the ball to Breece Hall.
Right! Breece is the Jets most productive player and lately he hasn’t been featured nearly enough.
*Rich, wake up!* Rodgers is done.
Department of Health job?

Rodgers is an insufferable drama queen who is aging like soft fruit, he should have retired 4 years ago.
Next year Aaron should play for the Vikings.
The Vikings organization is too smart to add this diva to their team.

I wish they would in the hopes they play the Packers and get whooped. Just to remind him about cheeseheads.
Tell Rodgers to take a hike after the season. Start a scrub and tank for Arch Manning in 2026
