Anyone that is annoyed with you can go elsewhere, I, personally love your directions!
I had a wonder aunt who was a fantastic seamstress, crocheted, knitter, there wasn’t anything stray lady cousin not make. My freshman year of high school she made my entire wardrobe, because my parents didn’t have a lot of money and she and her husband never had any children. I am lucky at 68 to still have one of these beautiful potholders she made exactly like these, except she made round ones. I treasure that potholder.
Never ever apologize for being you. Remember that there are trolls that just go to videos just to cause drama either with you or with other people defending you. NEVER ENGAGE or feel you need to justify yourself. You are giving them exactly what they set out to do. Im Canadian and I say “eh” all the time and i dont care. I love your videos and they are FREE to watch so you say whatever you want to say.. love how you explain in detail for the beginner like me. Keep doing what you’re doing 💗
I’m also Canadian and darn proud of it. Eh! I just came across this tutorial and I loved it. I never noticed that you repeated “k”. Who cares? Keep doing what you’re doing, I thoroughly enjoyed your teaching. Enjoy your new home.
These are beautiful!
I was accepted to be a trainer for my company. All us newbies would be video-ed to identify the "uhm"s and "k"s that we needed to stop. So, I feel you. And I appreciate you!
Considering that you are giving free tutorials on your time people shouldn’t comment or complain how you speak. Very rude. Thanks for sharing your videos with me. I have made one and was quite impressed with it. You give great detailed instructions which makes it easy for beginners like myself. ❤
Thanks for watching!!
100% agree with your comment. I was thinking the same thing. I truly enjoyed the video and appreciate the time she took to make the video and not having to buy expensive templates to do this hot pad.
Very cute!
Love this project. You made it so easy to do. I’ve seen others do this but made it so complicated until I didn’t want to even try it. Thanks for all your tips. ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for the tutorial .I learned how to make it .wonderful blessings 😊
You are welcome!
I loved your tutorial you are a great teacher and don’t worry about negative comments… not your problem
Thank you for sharing. Great tutorial. Good step by step directions. This made it very easy to do. Especially like the fact that you showed how to create the template which made things much easier and gave measurements of the fabric needed. Great job..Who cares if you say "K" alot. Talk the way you want. No apology needed. Thumbs up from me.
Thank you!
Thank you so much for the tutorial. You are a great teacher. You explain in detail so a beginner like me understands the steps.
I absolutely love love the pattern and followed along with you. I found I had to make the final corner piece 4-1/2 because I could not square the pot holder. Love your instructions.
Just what I've been looking for. You make it so easily done for us. I am thinking of making mine a bit larger, so will figure out the sizes needed. Was also thinking that I could press all the squares while watching tv. Hate to sit and do nothing. Again, thanks for all of your help.
May also see if I can design a rectangular
Trivit for casserole type dishes, ie, lasagna, etc.
I love the hot pad or as I have always called them a "pot holder"..lol I never noticed you saying k or you guys. So stop complaining folks and enjoy the video. I am definitely going to make some of these hot pads. You gave very clear instructions.
Thank you!
Great tutorial and very understandable, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Oh for Pete sakes who cares if you say K allot! Your instructions are free!! My goodness people complain about everything! I so appreciate this free tutorial! Thank you!

Wonderful hot pad ! So unique. Thank you.
You are welcome! Thanks for leaving g a comment.
So helpful! Thank you. ❤
Thanks for the project. I would likely use muslin for the 10 inch square since you don't see it....I wouldn't want to use good quilting fabric for the base.
Great video
Thank You!
This is so amazing! Can't wait to make this! Thank you for sharing this ❣️ 🥰

Great demo and instructions. By the way…. saying okay was OKAY with me. Be yourself! ♥️

@@margaretwhitaker4837 you are welcome!
We all have something that we say , when I finish a project I always say ta da!
If that is all people have to complain about you are doing OK!
Thank you!
Thank you for a great and very clear tutorial. I just want to ask if the last corner size should be 3.5", which you note at the beginning or should the corners be cut to 4.5"? I tried the 3.5" and they were very small so I made them 4.5" and it looked closer to what yours did.
Exactly my question
Yikes I’m new to quilting and it’s talking a long time to cut pieces. I saw a suggestion to start with a small project. Is this considered a small project?
Yes, this is considered small.
To make a square potholder, all you need for the corners are the 4 1/2"-5" squares. Instead of folding them into triangles, fold them into a square by taking one corner, bring it up to the opposite corner. This will give you a triangle. Then take the folded edge of the triangle to the middle, matching your raw edges and the fold in the center, do the same with the other tip and then, like magic, you have a square for the corners. If you have drawn your grid correctly, you should have a perfect square potholder.
Could you give me the information on the iron you are using. I’d like to find one to purchase. Thank you so very much!,
Here is a link the one I use. www.amazon.com/dp/B07B261R8R/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_WX5QENBXY4TMAH57BRA9?linkCode=ml2&tag=funstuffcraft-20 I really like it.
👏👏👏
Hello! Can you write the measurements of the fabric, please, I don' t understand English but I love your work.
Regards
It's on her blog post
From inner to outter
4 squares at 3 in
8 squares at 3.5 in
8 squares at 4 in.
8 squares at 4.5 in
4 squares at 5 in
4 squares at 3.5 in
Binding 2.5 in x 36 in..
Rather than having to measure the scrap square for alll the lines, you could fold the fabric along each of the lines and press a crease on each one, then draw along the crease lines with your pen. This saves a lot of measuring and is quicker. Just a suggestion.
Great idea!!! Thanks
? QUESTION Is that glue stick a special type, or any type will do ??
I love your instructions. You cover everything so nicely. I like it that you stress pressing your squares. I’ve watched other demonstrations where they never press anything and it really bothers me. Can’t wait to see your other projects. Oh, just one question. Did you cut the binding for this project on the bias or on the straight?
I actually cut it on the straight. Thanks so much for the nice comment if you have any ideas for future projects please let me know.
It drives me crazy also when they don't press anything.😂
Don't listen to haters
Does anyone sew them down row by row?
Talk as you like!
I cut binding according to the instructions on your blog 34 x2 and on the video it says 36x 2 1/2 so which is best?
Sorry about that and thanks for letting me know there is a difference. Both will work. The 2 1/2 will give you a little wider width in binding and the 36 will just give you a little extra to work with.
Ok Thanks!
Lisa, don't try to change anything about your lesson. I know a lady on another channel who is trying to stop saying "Um", and now she has replaced it with "so".lol. It is very hard to keep your dialog going while you are filming and that is what causes this repetition of a pause word. Very good instruction in this video. 💛👏
Your top right black one is a tad wonky
The last corner pieces should be 5 inches 3-1/2 way too small. Will not square off at 8 inches
No one has the right to tell you to stop saying anything. You should not apologize or try to change.
And………never place your disappearing ink marked fabric on a hot surface. 😉
Thanks for the tip.
Lol. Never noticed you saying K until you said something. Perhaps people need to get a life. I appreciate your videos❤️
Speak how you wish. The tutorial is free
It’s okay doesn’t bother me at all.
Say what you want to say if you're showing us how to do a design. Why would it bother somebody? How many people does it bother? If that's what you're used to doing, I would do it. It doesn't bother me. I'm worried about the content of how you do the design
Please, do not worry about your speech pattern. There are far worse vocal habits.
That does bother me so much , constantly saying guys you guys , hey guys. I have to turn the sound off,, all those sentences or comments work much better without that stupid word otherwise your demos are very good
Thanks for the comment. I am working on it.
