Every time I watch this, it makes me cry. She made us all proud that day, and it was absolutely stunning. She focused on her patriotism and honoring the verses. No crazy blinged out clothes, just a respectful, powerful performance!!! Faith and Whitney Houston's versions are the best of all time.

Gotta say, that was the greatest ever (especially considering the time in history) until I heard Faith's version. They're about equal, but I'd choose Faith's - I FEEL the love of the country coming from her. With Whitney it's slightly, only slightly, more of "I'm the greatest singer of all-time" - which is understandable. There's something about Faith Hill's version that is more heartfelt.
This is still and will be for all time my favorite! Whitney's was great, but, for me and my family, this performance and singing by Faith goes beyond reproach. Still get goose bumps! 🔥🔥🔥🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
