For a bootleg, Hulk is impressive. For me one of the best.
I just got a knock off hulk for the modern head sculpt to use on my 80th hulk 😅
These Hulk KOs are $15 on the Chinese sites now. Def a good price for a high quality KO in this economy.

I thought it would be a good idea to point those out with how good these KOs are some could easily pass these off as legit figures.

I already started to take it apart, and started prepping it for paint.
I have the 20th Anniversary KO. It looks good but what makes the originals better are the pegs. The pegs on the K.O. ones are brittle. It's the same problem I had with the KO McFarlane Negan figure I have. The pegs on the thighs snapped off easily.
That KO looks amazing. As you Say it's just a little heavy on the highlights, but that could be toned down.
Definitely, you can either strip off the highlights, or add some extra dry brushing to tone it down.
Where do you get the KOs? Any links I have found sell them for abotu the same price as the official.

@@CollectorExpress so bottom line, is he a very good figure? I don't mind it not being PERFECT. But I would like it to be in the ballpark with the official. I know that might be asking too much.
I really don't want to spend the money on the official and I pre-ordered the 20th anniversary, so this KO will do until then. How long did it take yours to come in by the way?
When I ordered a single figure it took over 3 weeks, but when I made a larger ordered of 3 figures it took around a week and a half. So I'm assuming they use faster shipping methods for higher priced orders... but it could have been chance as well.
@@CollectorExpress I gotcha I'm thinking of getting the gray knock off as well so maybe that'll help.
Who did you get the smart hulk head from?
I bought it years ago from Glassman customs, but I have done some modifications and resculpting to it.
Does the official Hulk have a printed serial number?

Thanks for the recommendation. I bought one from FigureToyShow Store. Another one (a red hulk) is in delivery. Excellent value. On the other hand I do not like the highlights (pecs, feet, anterior delts, triceps).
Some ideas ?
- undercoat + base + shade ?
- undercoat + contrast paint (citadel) ?
- undercoat + base + (shade / contrast) ?

If the highlights over done like the way mine was you could remove them like removing tampographs. Or apply a wash then dry brush new highlights. The paints that I used is Testors model master acrylic but those are now discontinued, so I'm going to have to find new paints. Citadel has some really nice shades of green.

Thanks so much for your suggestions.
White vinagar didn't work,
alcohol 70% didn't work,
alcohol 90% didnt'work,
but the white spirit solvent cleared all the highlights without living a single scratch to the green paint :-)
Then I opted for a mix of Citadel "base waaaghi flesh" and "base kantor blue" to enhance the fiber muscles (inner chest, forearms, abs, serratus, etc). I used "base kantor blue" to underline some veins too (forearms, biceps, front shouders, outer pecs).
I have a small collection of Marvel Legends Hulk but these KO Hulk figurines do not suffer in comparaison. Very good price to quality ratio.

How did it go with juggernaut? I want to see more about it. I am planning to do my own custom of that figure. Can you take apart the torso and the butterfly joint
The upper torso is glued together, so I haven't taken it apart. You can take those types apart it just requires a bit more work. On other torsos I've heated them in hot water to soften the glue and worked a blade down the seams very carefully. Sometimes you have to drill a few holes and use snap ring pliers to pry it apart.
