John Mayer Neon (Where The Light Is) progress check-in

My thoughts:
Overall I think this sounds a lot better than it felt while I was playing it. All the notes are here it just needs some more practice and polish.
1:02 two bars of the intro left and I completely blanked, really
1:08 yes I'm playing it fingerstyle get over it, but seriously I have been learning the correct technique it's just not quite up to speed yet
1:47 I need to work on my stamina
2:50 again I completely blanked on the bridge, you'd think I just learned this yesterday
3:07 I keep missing that one high note, time to keep grinding
3:15 oh god here we go
3:50 ok but actually this riff is hard as hell and I think this is a decent attempt, just needs a little more practice
4:00 this little slide-in is AFAIK the only "personal touch" I've added to the song and at this point I can't stop doing it
4:21 besides this whiffed chord I think the chorus(s) came out ok
4:43 I usually mess up the ending so this was a pleasant surprise, still - that last chord is a little questionable
This was a great way to be more subjective about my playing. I look forward to comparing in a year from now.
