I had one of the old snes guide books with maps were all the items are in the game. When I was a kid I knew were ever item was in the game when my mom or dad would play they would always have me around to let them know when they missed and item or something
In my childhood we found 98 or 99%, I searched through the whole game to find the last % but didn't do it. And only ~10 years ago when I tried to check youtobe I was able to find the last secrets. :)

I love it when TASes do silly stuff during "cutscenes" like this. He did a similar kind of thing around while waiting at 15:33. Biospark does some stuff like that in his Metroid Fusion 100% TAS, and Dragonfangs does some hilarious stuff while waiting for the final boss...and after finishing the final boss in his Metroid Zero Mission 100% TAS (I think its funnier in the 1:01:43.7 in game time video (this isn't his fastest run, but I think the screwaround is funnier in that one than in the fastest one.) I recommend watching those, some parts of them are just gold.

One thing that learned: You can learn how to play any game in 5 minutes... But it may take years to masterizing it. You can see it in your daily life too.

I do not think that my new Shaktool speed-strategy (seems like I am not allowed to put the corresponding link in here) alone would make it worth doing a new TAS, since TASes take a lot of effort and therefore one should maybe wait until more new strategies are found to put them together into a new TAS, but since this is the fastest TAS of this category as far as I know, I thought I´d mention it here, because it could be interesting for those who want to improve/work on this category.
If they ever re-release the Metroid games, they should include a code on each one that allows Samus to keep what she acquired on previous adventures. They should do the same for the Mega Man (X) games too IMO. Imagine having the final form of one game being the starting point of the next one Wouldn't that be awesome?

Granted, I'd save them if I did 100% speedruns of this game, but most runners don't since it does cost time and doesn't apply to the percentage. AGDQ does bid wars whether to save or kill them during runs of this game.
I Just Beated this game in less 2h and was the Gameplay faster than I Could do, Itens Rate about 92%. I always forgot 3 Missiles, It means 235 Missiles,I got 50 Super Missile, 50 Power Bomb and the others her Gadgets. If you beat this game in less 3h, you can see Samus with no Suit.
@@ZekePolarisBSH I don't know if you're still around to hear this but that statue comes alive and turns into a boss fight after grabbing the bombs. But he jumped back through the door in time to avoid it. Unfortunately, that's the room where the animals are when you save them. So it's not safe to try to save them at this point.
Why do I LOVE watching this game? I only had the NES Metroid when I was a kid. I don't like any other Metroid games for any other systems. Yet, I keep watching TASes of this game. Any ideas? Super Nintendo is my favorite system by far, but can it really be just nostalgia?

I beat it on the first try with 84 or 85% completion.

I don't think that TAS can be called cheating. It's meant to show off how the game itself can be broken/run perfectly, not how good the player is.
It technically isn't cheating since the game's code isn't modified. Only uses a bot/program to input precise (sometimes frame perfect) button presses
Actually, TAS game play was made the those that plays the game using a system that basically copys what we do as a gamer, frame by frame...
