In A Broken Dream. ....Sir Rodney sang this in 1969 (not 72) as lead singer for the Australian band Python Lee Jackson in what is one of his finest ever vocal performances. It was re released by Rod in 1972. I'm certain Shazza that like the rest of us you think its a brilliant song and that's what really matters.
Kudos to Rod for resurrecting this iconic song. His pitch is strong and you would never know a man of his years was delivering this performance. That being said, don’t ever embarrass yourself with this rap train wreck again. You’ve been around long enough to know better mate.
Great to hear him sing this live. He was 70-what? when he did this show? Yes we could have done without the rapping in the middle, but the guy had one of the best voices ever in rock n roll. He ain't gonna be able to belt it out like he did in his 20s/30s - be realistic! Nice one Rod👍
So he tried and this version didn't go so well..least he tried, and failed. Better than 99% of the crap out nowdays.....and the only thing that failed is the rap, and yes, it failed badly, won't argue. But he's resilient, the rest of the song was decent, given his voice and age. Nothing will beat the original , he comes close.
@@HG-ts5vp Don't get me wrong still love his early 1968-1975 work. But for me if he or any other artist for whatever reason can't do justice to one of your own classic songs then please don't bother. Best regards from the UK.
Zwow what a grest rendition

Thank you❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
1972 not 1966 Rodders!!
