I'm considering switching to ATT from Tmobile after almost a decade after I pay off my devices. I lived in a large city most all my life up until 2 years ago. I moved to rural Northeast Arizona to a farm. Tmobile is on roaming constantly. Even with going to a big town with 5G coverage my phone is slow. My cousin and brother both have ATT they say it works pretty good where I'm located.
While I'm not on AT&T anymore when I was coverage was fine and they had some really solid and helpful customer service. Been a while though so not sure about now.
My AT&T Prepaid has the Top 2 speeds of all time since 2011 on Speedtest App: 1.4 Gbps mmWave 5G+ and 700 Mbps C-Band 5G+. I'm not complaining about the speeds when I actually get 5G+, the main problem as I see it is AT&T 5G+ is rare and listed in areas on their map that aren't true.
And I've had the opposite. We were with ATT for years. We had uVerse and that got up to $180/month. We were supposed to be getting free Max, but were getting charged for it by ATT. Asked them to get the bill down to about $100/month for the same bundle by crediting us for the charges for Max and to stop charging a monthly fee for the receivers, etc. They said no, so we dropped uVerse and moved to Hulu Live, which included Disney+ that we were paying for anyway. Saved about $110/month by cutting the cord. Never got the full $700 trade in for my wife's old iPhone when we got her 12 Pro Max. Finally, they told us they could give us back our hold home phone number. It was not re-issued to others and available. I wanted it on a new mobile line. For six months they tried "porting" it even though I was clear that we hadn't had that number for years. (The reason we wanted it back was our bank and other were still trying to call us on that number.) Because it was originally a copper land-line and brought to uVerse (we have Fiber to our home) they couldn't give it back to us even though I provided the documentation I had the number before. I even asked them if they could return it as a "land line" to our residential gateway first and then port it. Yes, then no, then yes. I paid for a mobile line for 6 months but never got a working number. I could dial out and I could get calls from other ATT mobility people on that number. But if someone on a landline, or on TMO or VZN called it, they would get a number not in service. For six months, no one could make it work. So I just ported out everything. The only thing I have with ATT at this point is my Fiber to my home. We went from spending over $500/month with ATT as a household to $85/month. They haven't acted like they really value us as customers. To their credit, they did refund most of the cost for that non-functional mobile line. So I had "free" home internet for a few months. They just haven't been the same in the past 5 years or so. None of the benefits Shari mentioned were compelling. The prior customer experience wasn't compelling. I can buy new, unlocked phones from the Apple store and get that data I need from Mint Mobile for $20-$30/month Basically, the prices of ATT for two years with the "free phone' will buy me a new iPhone 15 Pro and pay 3 years of the 15GB/month of data service I need. The last year would be "free" relative to the "free" phone from ATT and service at 2x to 3x the monthly cost. Plus, it's MY phone, no trade in credits and it's unlocked. There just isn't a compelling case for us and the diminished customer service plays a big role in our decision to walk away from ATT
AT&T is terrible in NYC, we actively have our clients switch away from them. Only benefit to AT&T is they tend to have better coverage in rural areas. Aside from that, their data speeds are painfully slow
AT&T may not be the fastest but I have not seen many places without a AT&T signal, I live in a town of 486 population and they have C-Band on the tower
@@OptimaGamingTeam Yeah that was my exact point lol. AT&T is good in rural areas, but in areas with competition they are ridiculously far behind the curve.
Got 1.3 Gbps on Prepaid mmWave 5G+ at the Boston airport and 700 Mbps C-Band 5G+ in Cambridge MA. I'd hardly say Boston is rural and I would hardly say these speeds are slow either.
@@miketech79 Well yeah I hope the boston airport is good lol, they would have a direct fiber backbone and a local antenna. I can't speak to boston, but the NYC area is laughably bad, simple images fail to send over imessage constantly. We won't support clients mobile needs if they have AT&T, the unreliability creates too many headaches.
@@michaelmm94 I'm just pointing out that AT&T is better in other places than your rural areas than you might think. So it's probably better to stick to AT&T is bad in NYC and leave it at that. That's all I'm saying.
Do you you have experience migrating from att postpaid to att prepaid? The coversge is great in my area I just don't see the point of paying postpaid prices when prepaid is offering priority data nowadays.
Yes. the WORST customer services. even though I am a customer. I am talking about calling customer service centers WORST- WORST and WORST. everyone that I I talked to over the phone they don’t want to work there. sounds lazy - not care. But in store they are great.
Well, if you'll go on starter plan itll be $30.99 with autopay and paperless billing discount, if you were a first responder, military, nurse/physician, teacher; you'll get $23.99 each line becuz of multi line discount. That is of course before taxes and fees
Cricket wireless is the best for multi-line plans. You can get 5 lines for $125 unlimited everything or 5 line for $160 unlimited everything and it comes with max and 15 gbs of hotspot each line.
Great video, I have been with AT&T for a long time, however, I am not a fan of the fact that recently they bumped the priority of their plans down one level just so they can sell the new “Turbo” feature for an extra $7 a month, seems like a money grab to me
Is any performance difference between: ATT Unlimited Premium PL and ATT Unlimited Premium Business plans? I switched just now from Verizon and I think I rushed with my decision
With Verizon, you can goto over 200 countries and you will get unlimited talk, text and 2GB's of data and its included for free with your plan. That is way better than just getting to use your phone is Latin American with AT&T.
The majority of customer service reps are foreign and I have no idea what they are saying. It’s very aggravating since I only know on language and that’s plain ole English. They should have options for this. Press 1 for American with Great English
AT&T Premium plan is great, including Latin America as a perk. However Verizon includes free Roaming to 210 countries on their top tier plan. So it’s not accurate that no other provider offers this perk.
Hilarious! A video about ATT with an ad for Mint Mobile preceding the video. I’m convinced! Barbed wire masturbation gloves would work better than ATT internet.
My son flew to Spain and went into roaming instead of connecting to Internet by accident.. NOT SURE!!We were supposed to have a $12 bill a day. Now our bill is $20,500 dollars Is there anybody can help with this issue in AT&T? THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE He got the phone in Mexico
His line probably doesnt have the international day pass. You shouldve inquired with customer service first to check if he had international day pass on
I'm satisfied with Verizon Wireless. It's screaming fast. I do, however, have AT&T Fiber for home internet service. A funny story about the Fiber installation: as the installer was doing his job, a salesperson showed up trying to get me to switch my wireless to AT&T. Sorry, I am happy with Verizon.
CONSUMER ALERT!! AT&T mobile is rated 1.3 stars out of 5 possible stars on YELP! 80,000 reviews. I’ve never seen such a low score. Was with them for seven years.. customer support sucks !! They even curse at there employees over the phone!! If you change anything in your plan they hike your bill ridiculously if you call them out they say pay it off this month and we will credit you next month... they never do!! Only good thing i can say is their insurance is affordable and reliable... as far as anything thing else they are a horrible company and I'm proud to say i switched to t-mobile and will never look back!!
@claricebrown1357 no it was a breeze and i have no regrets going on 2 years i have 4 phone lines 2 watch lines and 2 home internet on my account and pay less than 2 phones and watches on att

Still on the plan offering Max for free. It’s a decent plan. What I don’t like is ATT leaking all my info to the dark web 😂
