Painting tip: For hard details or lettering, you can print a masking template!
Just draw your desired graphic, and turn it into a one or two layer print, you can use Sketchup for this pretty easily. The templates are especially useful on flat surfaces, but you could also print a 3d piece of mesh, but leave the shape you want to paint out. You can now just stick your printed mask with some tape to the main model, and paint it! Also very useful for paintbrushes.
If you make them out of ABS, it can be smoothed out with acetone- some people leave it in a chamber with acetone vapor, but I use a paintbrush- it's faster, but apply very sparingly with fast, gentle brush strokes, or the small details will be removed as well. And don't touch freshly acetoned surface with anything, it becomes sticky as the plastic dissolves (that's the point of this method- get it to dissolve and solidify in smoother shape). It doesn't work with PLA, and I don't know how about other plastics.
This is awesome man, you come up with some of the coolest stuff, I love the cereal bowl one the most.
Very elegant design. I like the Mario cereal because it was unexpected. The super mario 64 one also looks the best and it also looks like it was hard to make because you had to glue it together.

I know i came only now but cloning the amiibo data into a generic nfc reader is basically the work with roms.
ROM: If you have the original game cartdrige / disc, you can download your game as rom, because is a backup
AMIIBO: Do you have the original amiibo? Good, you can clone your data, because you buyed the original.

Love the cereal print! if you need help on improving the quality of your prints I recommend hitting them with a filler primer, it provides a nice base for painting but it fills in little cracks in the prints and you can still sand it afterwards!

This is a much more difficult video to make than a game review, Nintendrew hasn't done much game reviews recently I'm guessing due to a tight budget, but something like this is just so cool and unique to watch. Truly a 6 minute video that requires hours and hours of hard work, good job and keep it up!

I thought I was already subscribed but found out today I wasn't! Those are pretty cool looking they have character, I even like them better then the official ones,... This video made me realize I really need a 3d printer!
A quick "bath" of acitone before painting would make those even better!
