The thing u guys need to remember about the above map size is also that theres most certainly gonna be massive dungeons and caves to make the world even bigger something to consider when talking about overall map size
To my understanding the vocations are all their own "classes" so a fighter doesnt upgrade into a warrior but they are completely separate classes with their own fully fleshed out skills.
The mere fact that dragons dogma 1 did anything better then skyrim that's a huge win! And a couple things stand out, fun factor and combat, and let's call it identity. What I mean as identity is in dd1 you build a character and you feel more in tune with the character, along with the pawn system, it almost seems personal. Dd1 I felt more in tune with my character as opposed to anything I could conjure up with skyrim, but that's how dd1 up ended skyrim
DD1 sells way less than Skyrim for reasons of choice by consumers, that means for the majority Skyrim was better, however if you preferred DD1 then for you it was,
@@steve.k4735 Skyrim is a far better game, probably easily top 5, heck top 3, and it checks every box of what anyone could want in a story driven immersive game, but to be frank, yeah the combat was simple, hit the hit box and that’s it, no real strategy or setup, it’s as basic as it gets, and it does work, also the gearing and crafting is quite basic, and is good for what it is, I loved it all… but dd1 there was a complexity unrivaled with the same aspects I mentioned with Skyrim, story sucked monkey nutz, but that’s not why you play dd1, it’s like a Skyrim, Witcher 3, dark souls, and shadow of colossus mash up, Jack of all those games master of none, and it worked

Neither can you lock into targets, because it's classed based . Those 2 makes me worried about the combat aspect which is the MAIN thing in this game. @general Rubicon Thoughts?

I was very curious since DD1 Had a form of new game plus, since the devs have said that you only have one character save. So I’m wondering if you can beat the game and reload the save & continue on with the story once again like the original game.
Any opinions on the unstable uncapped "around 30fps"? I'm excited for this game but watching it dip into the low 20s on console was a knife in the heart
@GeneralRubicon But pc optimization is still a big question and im afraid there is a reason why the preview events are on consoles cus if they show us that it dips fps on there high end pcs it would cause even bigger heartaches. Jedi survivor was the same scenario.
@@Sixshotz1337 But it can be sad about the ps5 re engine games too. The new rezi 4 remake runs at 60 fps on ps5 and its stunning so its still a gamble how dogma will run on pc.
Lol lol Size doesn't matter.. yeah. There's certain game or an expansion called Phantom liberty which added an area not even like biome or anything just probably an arena shooter like map which is size of overwatch map & it has details, areas with life, new hidden labs inside, weapons found them, buildings where all of its doors can be opened you can scale any building to find some gear OP-er than best weapons in the game, like I felt As though Dogtown is like Irl area i familiarize myself & expect to find new people new corners everytime like irl it is bigger than entire Starfield game.. I'm currently playing Dark arisen and it maybe a hot take but i'm finding DD1 to be an OG concept pitch for Elden ring. real npc's die, getting ambushed, day and night monster difference, real Debuff threat like how elden ring had Madness, but here its full mind control, the death being a long walk of shame. & unpredictable events happening during Travelling from Point A-B, Little to no Handholding.. lol the only thing i find this game in a negative way is pausing the game to chug potions. which makes it to where it is in-between Final Fantasy like combat than Live combat. ~ Biggest wrong comparison i've found in the internet is "Its like monster hunter" yea right.. imagine fighting cultists, political intrigue, and accidently killing random npcs and dragons talking to you about spirituality and existential topics on life.. hell imagine Dragon talking to u in monster hunter XD. The only thing this game has to compare for monster hunter is climbing on the monster lol. many of my friends hugely got misinformed on that and they immediately pre-ordered DD2 lol. I really hope they don't refund it lol.
Nice vid the only thing is that you shouldn’t say the other vocations are an upgrade, you’re going to confuse people. For example the warrior is not an upgrade to fighter, it’s just a different vocation/playstyle same thing with mage and sorcerer
Oh I must have misunderstood. I thought you had 4 base vocations. And then later on you can multiclass or have an upgraded version of the class you already picked
@@GeneralRubicon in a way you are not totally wrong in the fact that you only can use 4 base vocations at the beginning and later can unlock the other ones which can be looked like upgrades or mix of those same base vocations. You also may already know this but they're not definitive and you can switch in any class you want whenever you want. I just have to point out that the stats you gain when you level up will depend on the vocation you're using while doing it (at least in the 1st game). Hope it helped in some ways x)
@@GeneralRubicon A lot of people talk about BG3. I have not played it, but a forgotten game - Solatas Crown of the Magister is fantastic as well. Your ability to play different stories and totally create ALL your characters - with the combat being amazing, makes my desire to buy BD3 little to 0.
I'd recommend buying Solatas first once on sale, see if you like it. BG is more story oriented vs Combat (solatas) but from my research online, they are similar games. Like I recommend to anyone, there is a possibility to buy arisen on sale on steam, check the vibe, if you dislike, sell back in less than 2hours on steam or check playthroughs.
Fun fact, they actually released a multi co-op version named Dragon's Dogma Online back then. But sadly it was Japan only and the servers shut down in 2019. But some stuff and monsters in DD2 came directly from DD Online
